Not Gay like how Dela Hoya looked at the camera like he wanted to suck some d.ick
Just Gay in that I didn't think it was a effective promo didn't get me interested in the fight ( The reality is it doesn't need to, I'm buying it ) , I thought it was cheesy and lame as f.uck
Like I get it the people that came up with it thought it was going to be Money
Set in the Prohibition era in a dingy gym. 2 of the best fighters fighting just like the old days. Throw in some MW legends ( Duran, Hearns , B-Hop & Oscar ) that fought the best of the best to show this is the next wave of fighters doing it the old school way.
This Promo might resonate with Seniors reminiscing about the glory days or Hard core boxing fans that would be able to identify Duran /Hearn. I don't think this ad speaks to a 30 & under audience and not interesting
but to me getting people hyped about this fight doesn't need for everyone involved to play dress up and re-create a era that never was and use all these tired cliches.
I'd rather of them just show it how it is, let the audience know it's 2 of the best fighers both on a collision course 2 years in the making in a career defining fight . Show Some highlights of GGG/Canelo Mowing some Mofos down and getting KO'd . Show some clips of Gennady talking trash when he was chasing this fight and of Canelo when he was saying Mexicans don't f.uck around / Only the mediocre need luck , No costumes / No acting / No props / No Newspapers with the words Extra Extra Extra. Just a dope ad
Just my opinion
Impossible to say it better, i agree 100%
The KO to Williams by Maravilla Martinez is for me the best in this thread.

saad muhammad vs lottie mwale

This one is also savage, not only for the uppercut also because it's done to one of the greatest knockout artists in boxing.
The way of thinking of the future brain damaged ones. Better going in front losing all the rounds, better to have an exchange with one punch landed vs five received instead of outboxing the other one with skills and technique. You are not more macho doing that except Mayorga and few others that are real warriors, the other that think like that just remark themselves as another helpless puppet of the boxing business and managers.
People always think their country is the only corrupt one, this is not a thing of USA or the politicians involved in boxing. Many countries doesn't have politicians or judges around boxing but they still have equal or superior boxing corruption.
I just saw that boxing legends tv uploaded this video about this fight ->https://youtu.be/GY-vIJvoGAU. It might be interesting for the people who wants to see it.
Your Rigo v Andra sig has me dying here right now.
That fight was pure gold! I can't stop laughing seeing the contrast between the calmness and seriousness of Rigondeaux and Andrade acting as a lunatic :haha:

:haha: That's it. He used to hate Mayweather, but because he was near the retirement Artorias needed to pick Canelo for having another one to hate.
As many people said in this thread i also didn't know too much about these guys. I made a little research at BoxRec and Youtube and voted -> Dmitry Kudryashov by KO 5-8. They both seem to have very good power, but the russian for the little i have seen seems to have better movement and waist which can help him to evade some shots and counter them.
Let's see, it seems like a good fight, i love this World Boxing Super Series.
What it is disapointing is to have a son like that who questions you when he is nothing in boxing, he only has his name and thanks to that he can make a living from boxing, because if he wasn't JCC Jr. he would be nobody. But well as Mike Tyson said something like this -> none of my sons will be a boxer, because they have lived in mansions, had everything they wanted and went to the best schools.
That make you bland for this, specially if you are in Mexico where they reward being aggresive. Since you are a daddy's boy don't question your father, don't be arrogant and think about how respectful he was with you after the Canelo's beating.
No, get it right. Oscar hates Floyd. Oscar is the bitter one. Floyd doesn't give a **** about Oscar.
I agree.
That video is centered on Floyd trash talking De la Hoya before their fight. Most boxers specially Mayweather criticise his rival before the fight for raising the hype and the money around it. Just like Rigo said few days ago in his twitter -> despite what i said and what i will say till dec 9 i only feel respect for Lomachenko and his team.
Just business, unlike Oscar Floyd doesn't seem to care about Oscar.
Talking about the OP i don't know if this is a troll question, but no, it's absurd, Pacquiao would give and even worse image than in the previous fight vs Mayweather (also for Mayweather it's better to stay retired), even if he wasn't one of my favorites Pacquiao had a great career (truth be told), and he needed to be smarter and retire a few years ago.
Wow that is criminal if Inoue moves up to Bantam without facing some real killers at 115.
He hasnt really fought anybody besides Narvaev which was awhile ago. I love Inoue but he needs a real fight and there are plenty in his division.
Only way this is acceptable is if he is having weight issues but he is too young for that.
I agree, he must fight at least one of these three at 115 before moving up in weight -> Cuadras, Estrada or Rungivisai. It will be a hard test for him, but if he win it will confirm many things about his level that we suspect.

We need to find another soccer team with three guys prepared to compete in a MMA event vs Manchester United.
JMM should be above Tyson on any respectable ATG list.
I have a great respect for him, he was a great champion. But why exactly? Because he beat Pacquiao?
Mike Tyson was the youngest heavyweight champion of all time (and he still is, if i'm not mistaken), in his prime till 1989 he was completely superior to anyone, after that all his life outside the ring destroyed him, not the oposition (i'm talking about Douglas here). One of the things that make me not consider de la Hoya an ATG it's because his biggest wins vs JCC and Whitaker were when these two were in top of their addictions. Just like it happened with Tyson vs Holyfield and even more vs Lewis.
And i want to explain one thing since i'm pretty new here, i REALLY admire Holyfield and Lewis i think they were trully outstanding boxers, probably in a better position than Tyson in history, but i really think that prime Tyson would have destroyed both at their primes. Tyson career was a rollercoaster and that downgrade him, but his peak was for me the most impresive thing i've seen in a ring.
From what i think Golovkin wanted to say he refered to Lomachenko not being a P4P at that moment, but maybe in the future (don't know when this interview was done) but if it was in the begining of Pro Lomachenko i agree, things need to be demonstrated even if your quality it's perceived you need to demonstrate it. And as we saw with Loma vs Salido he wasn't prepared yet to be one of the best P4P, now Loma growth a lot and the fight vs Rigondeaux it's a great oportunity for him demonstrate it.
As the video of Lomachenko i also agree, as a technician Lomachenko is one million miles ahead of GGG (and almost everyone except Rigo and maybe Crawford), but the virtues of GGG are not to compete with guys like Lomachenko for being the "better" one but the strongest and most dangerous one.
As others already said you can't compare all these mediocre boxers that Menayothin has fought vs the oposition that Floyd had.
If you look at his career it seems like the one of the champion of his village.
Maybe Terence Crawford, but because Floyd is old and has retired, in his prime nobody on this list could beat him (the ones that can fight him by weight, Joshua is a heavyweight, don't know what he does in this list)
I guess it would depend on the situation.
Was the guy moving up for a one time daring to be great fight? Or was he moving up because he cleaned up the division and couldn't make weight comfortably anymore?
If he was moving up several weight classes in a dare to be great move and lost, i.e Ward moving up to HW to fight Joshua, I say he keeps his p4p status.
If he moves up in weight because he can no longer make the previous weight i.e Garcia moving from 130 to 135 and loses, then he should lose p4p votes.
I agree, this is also important.
p4p rankings are fantasies that make no sense at all. Loma or Rigo at LHW would be totally different fighters, just like Joshua or Ali, at middleweight, would be totally different fighters.
I completely agree with you, but well let's have some fantasies.
I think it's an interesting question that i thought about but never had the perfect answer. Maybe it's related on how they lose (if they do) in a superior weight class. If we take Chocolatito, his first loss was not mainly because of the weight (of course it affected) but because he doesn't boxed so good than other times. In his second loss he seem completely lost mentaly.
What i mean is that if you go up in weight and you perform at the same level as before but with less KO power and a not so good chin that can be because of the weight (like Chocolatito vs Estrada and Cuadras were he fighted well), against Rungvisai it was not only a weight issue, so that affects his P4P ranking, which for me was not affected vs Cuadras and Estrada even if he doesn't looked as mighty as before (because of the weight as i said).
Gamboa by far, a technical prodigy with an overconfidence problem causing him to lower his hands too much and a lack of interest in closing the fight. This against another prodigy (without the flaws of Gamboa) like Terence Crawford was his doom (for me the best fight of 2014, and the one which began to create the in my opinion current #1P4P of Boxing).
Talking about potential for me the one who has the most and has not had the opportunity to prove all his value is another cuban (i'm in love with cuban style) Guillermo Rigondeaux, one of the most ducked boxers ever (take the reason you want, the fact is that nobody fights him), i hope the next fight of Lomachenko will be against him, even if he's 37 now it will be the fight of the XXI century for me.
Can't say I disagree. And even better than a win over Postol. Gonzales was the king and he beat him. He adds a few more wins to his ledger and he's in the Top 5 maybe even Top 3
I agree, he beat the king, but for him to be established as the real king of the division he needs to beat Estrada and Inoue. If he does he will be top 3/5 P4P.
I think he can win Estrada by KO/TKO, not by decision, but Inoue in my opinion would win over Rungvisai. Let's see...
I voted for Canelo Alvarez by KO 9-12 a few days ago, but i just realized that because i just started voting now on polls maybe i won't have the oportunities to use all my multipliers of this year, so... can i add a 3X multiplier on my bet? Sorry for the incovenience Brometheus.
ah two not too LOOOL
I'd set up:
Rung v Estrada which is mando now
Inoue v Roman to see if the legend has anything left after he takes a vacation
Kal v Cuadras time for the Brit to step into the big leages...although not sure if he gets through Ishida
I agree with Rung vs Estrada, but i think Inoue for Roman it's too much right now, not because Roman can't win at his best but because he seems very far from his best, i think he need an "easier" fight to recover his confidence and sensations. Inoue vs Cuadras for me and after that if Inoue wins -> Inoue vs the winner of Rung vs Estrada and Roman vs the loser. That would be great for me.
