What active boxer has the best chance?

Almost half of Floyd's fights (24) have been against either the #1 contender, a champion or elite fighter. I can't think of a fighter who has fought more high level talent than Floyd. Here's the list: Manny Pacquiao Marcos Maidana (2x) Canelo Alvarez Robert Guerrero Miguel Cotto Victor Ortiz Shane Mosley Juan Manuel Marquez Ricky Hatton Oscar De La Hoya Carlos Baldomir Zab Judah Sharmba Mitchell Arturo Gatti Jose Castillo (2x) Jesus Chavez Diego Corrales Gregorio Vargas Angel Manfredy Genaro Hernandez Every single one of those guys were legit when Mayweather fought them. Who in the history of boxing has faced more high level fighters than Floyd?

Floyd stans keep making excuses for him(even though he won) because they know he got embarrassed on saturday. He went 10 rounds with a rookie making his pro debut and even looked out boxed at times. But this excuse that Floyd is 40 and that's why Conor was countering Floyd so easily in the early rounds is bull****. Foreman ko'd Moorer for the title at 45 years old. Hopkins won a world title at 46. Floyd doesn't drink or smoke which is the #1 cause of physical deterioration. He's also taken the least amount of punishment for the amount of fights that he has of any boxer ever. In terms of boxing years, Floyd is 30 years old at most. No excuses for his failure to stop Conor in the early rounds. He got schooled in the early rounds by a slicker athlete.

I keep reading "people hate Mayweather and love Mcgregor even though both are the same". wtf? In what world are these guys the same? Mayweather has about 2 words in his vocabulary and he repeats them over and over again. Almost everything he says is complete cringe. It's almost like his brain can't create thoughts. Mcgregor comes up with things on the spot and his sentences are actually creative and entertaining. Mcgregor is like HBO and Mayweather is like MTV. One is quality and the other is trash. Mcgregor found a quality hot wife on welfare. Mayweather has women dumping him even though he's worth half a billion. If Mayweather didn't have money, he wouldn't have a gf under 200 lbs.

No athlete has ever talked like Muhammad Ali before or since.......... until Conor Mcgregor. Black fighters always try to emulate Ali's trash talking but no one has ever come close. The only fighter that has come close and even surpassed Ali is Mcgregor. And it makes sense since Mcgregor is Irish and Ali's grandfather was Irish. That's where Ali inhereted that talking gene from. The eloquence of speech and the lightning quick wit. It makes sense now why Ali was such a great talker.

I've been watching boxing since Tyson vs Mathis. And I don't think I have ever been as excited about the HW division as I am right now. Not only are there so many great HW's, but for the first time there are REAL HW's in the division. Guys who are 6'6,6'7, 6'8 250+lbs, instead of blown up cruiserweights. Joshua, Wilder, Haye, Ortiz, Parker, Browne.... I'm definitely gonna be watching boxing regularly once again.

what 2 boxers could put on as civilized and as articulate an interview as this? most boxers just mumble 3 word sentences and have limited vocabulary. MMA fighters are way more intelligent than boxers.

What do you guys think would happen to Floyd and to boxing in general if he lost? Like what scenarios would take place that wouldn't otherwise. I think Floyd would lose it mentally. I don't think Floyd would be capable of handling a loss. He would probably go on some kind of tirade. Also, I think he would be free of his undefeated record and he would start caring about his legacy for the first time in his career because he would realize how important it really is/was to him... and he would take more risky fights in order to restore his reputation. Personally, I think Floyd losing would be great for boxing and Floyd.

I've only listed the possible opponents. ex: Berto and Mosley aren't listed because they wouldn't have enough time to train after they fight each other on January 23.

Teddy Atlas just said that his sources saw an email that Pac's people sent to Floyd's people asking what the penalty would be if he tested positive. And also another email to the Floyd camp stating that if Pac were to test positive, to keep it a secret for the sake of boxing. WOW....JUST WOW that is some crazy shit. Now I would just like to say I'm a pac fan and have been on his side through this whole thing, but what Atlas said is making it very difficult for me to believe that pac is clean. But I'm still giving pac the benefit of the doubt as of right now.

If anyone has ever had their blood drawn, they know that it makes you feel weak even if by a little bit. and even though pac and pbf are both gonna follow the same rules, Pac is at more of a disadvantage because he relies on his speed and power more than mayweather. So even if mayweather feels weak as well, it doesn't matter because he doesn't need to be at 100% physically because he doesn't fight a high energy type of fight, whereas pac does. I think pac is clean, but these blood tests will unfairly hurt pac more than pbf.

Who would win this tournament if all the fighters fought against each other in their primes. And lets not take resume's into consideration. Let's consider only their size and skills. ps: I got the inspiration for this thread from the "Greatest heavyweight ever...realistically?" thread, so before anyone blasts me for copying that thread, I am already aware of it. I just wanted to make it a little more specific with a poll.

It doesn't make sense that Wlad isn't in the p4p top 10. He has certainley beaten better comp in his own division than someone like Chad who is at #9. Personally I don't like Wlad, but he has still beaten a lot of the top guys in the HW division and has accomplished more than some of the guys in the top 10 p4p.

I say its Marquez. And if Marquez is the bigger draw and Pac-Cotto did more ppv draws than pbf-jmm, then Pac should get the bigger cut over Mayweather. what do you guys think? vote/discuss

You guys always claim that the Klitschkos aren't famous enough in the states because they aren't black or american. Well, pac-cotto did 1.24mill ppv buys and neither is black nor american. just face it, the klits are boring. find a new excuse.

this guy is a sick prospect. he is on the pac-cotto undercard, I just hope its a televised fight.

Chad Dawson. I don't know how his name has not been mentioned in the replacement talk but Chad has stated before that he is willing to go down to SMW to make a name for himself if he has to. Dawson needs this tournament just as much as this tournament needs him. Dawson is dying to get his name out there and at the moment, there is no better way for him to do it than entering this tourney. what do you guys think?

I haven't been on this site for about 2 months and in my return I've noticed some posters are missing. in particular, the klitschko fans. Vitali is fighting today and not a single thread by a klitschko fan on the main page. what happened to them, what did I miss?

I don't get why Boxrec doesn't list the most prestigious of boxing titles in its records. They even list nabo, ibo and tones of other european, latino and asian titles but not the ring title. why?

I just saw this guy Alexei Lezin's amateur record and check some of the notable wins this guy has in the AM: Vitali Klitschko(twice) Wladimir Klitschko Nicolay Valuev Sinan Samil Sam Paulo Vidoz With those notable victories, he still didn't go pro. Man, it would have been interesting to see how he would have done at the pro level.
