Dana is an ex boxercise instructor who acts like a tough guy, he's a big Boxing fan you say?
:23
I'm so sick of hearing MMA guys say Dana is a boxing fan, everytime the subject comes up. He's only a boxing fan when we're kicking his ass on PPV.
That guy hates this sport so damn bad, it's laughable.
I don't blame him, either ; our product, and our athletes are superior to his product, and his athletes.
Look no further than live gate numbers, PPV sales numbers, and the disparity in pay between a top level boxer, and a top level MMA guy.
There's no competition to be had there.
What did he say? that boxers avoid fights?
Pretty much. He's telling that guy to go for broke, I think.
"If you do everything you can do, to avoid a fight. Like most boxing matches these days, you're not getting paid jack shit!"
I don't know what boxing matches he's been watching lately, unless it was Haye/Valuev ; in which case, I agree with him.
Dana White is a ****ing TOOL. He is a Pacquiao fan yet a few months ago, he claimed he did not even know who Juan Manuel Marquez was. LOL.
He knew who he was but just forgot his name at that moment in time.
Dana is a Fan of boxing....many MMA fighters are. Dana just gets a little emotional when people try to shit on MMA. That's his business right now. His problem with boxing is what many fans of boxing have a problem with and I'll use my examples in them as well: Fights that should be made aren't made; fighters don't fight often enough; fights can sometimes be boring...especially when one fighter says that he is going to this and that and doesn't come through.
Now does MMA fall in line with this sometimes as well: Yes.
MMA and Boxing can live together...no reason to shit on either.
I think everyone forgot there was a UFC event going on that night.
Yeah was live from the UK and shown at 4pm in the states for FREE on ****e TV.
It was a good card, all the fights were good apart from the main event.
It is very hard not like Pacquiao, he is fighting the best, beating the best and looking excellent doing it.
Dana White saying he is a big Pacquiao fan while holding a Cotto-Pac Firepower t-shirt.
This will give him leverage to sh*t on boxing at another date when they pull a non stellar event. Either way Kudos to him for giving respect.
