looked like a glancing shot off the side/back of the head. A little bit of bad luck combined with being an absolutely shot fighter = humiliation @ the hands of Danny Green
It's being shown on ZDF, but they're not streaming it on their site. I have had no luck finding a stream so far. I'm also looking for a Moreno v. Monshipour stream . . . but again, no luck.
That's a tough call 4 me. I'd have to go with Miranda if the fight was @ 160 simply because he has momentum and confidence on his side. I just feel like in an all out war, Lacy's more likely to get caught with a big shot first.
When ur saying $100 per round, does that mean if they get a 1st rd KO they only get that portion of the money? I've never heard of this, but i'm sure there's plenty of stuff i haven't heard of
I'd go with Hopkins both inside the ring and out. Anyone who comes into a fight as out of shape as Toney, I have a tough time saying they're a real "smart" fighter. With Hopkins, I think he's smart to the point that it makes him boring to watch. Toney is smart (if we're talking in the ring only), but fights a much more entertaining style.
I think Spinks might do better than everyone thinks. He's real patient and I think would make it somewhat competitive (win a few rounds). I like both guys so I wouldn't mind seeing this fight (if Mayweather can't get nething set up with DLH, Margarito, Hatton, or Cotto).
Why was Floyd wearing Timberlands in Miami? Isn't it too hot for boots?
If you're wearing shoes (and not sandals), It doesn't make that much of a difference if they're boots, or whatever else. I guarantee Floyd was a lot more comfortable than Oscar (with his suit). But, they were both in the shade anyway and it wasn't really that hot to begin with.
Floyd was on ESPN this morning (Cold Pizza) to talk about the Super Bowl and promote the fight. He didn't say a whole lot, just the usual run of the mill appearance.
1. Floyd Mayweather
2. Winky Wright
3. Marco Antonio Barrera
4. Bernard Hopkins
5. Diego Corrales
6. Jose Luis Castillo
7. Ricky Hatton
8. Jermain Taylor
9. Erik Morales
10.Manny Pacquiao
I know people are complaining about Winky at #2, but when looking at pure skill I think he's better than the guys below him (even though he might not have the track record of the others).
I try not to look at one fight so much when doing pound4pound. Because the Taylor/Hopkins fight was very close (I do think Taylor won) I keep Hopkins higher than taylor, because the overall career is more impressive right now. Hatton is above Taylor because of a more impressive win over Tszyu, and I think Hatton lb 4 lb is a more skilled fighter than Taylor.
I had it scored almost exactly the same as the judges but had one round more going to PAC. So, I had it a draw. It looked to me like alot of Morales punches weren't really landing cleanly, just that PAC was backing up/getting knocked off balance by the bigger guy as he threw them. I think this gave the impression that Morales was landing cleaner shots. I definitely wouldn't argue with Morales winning with the scores of the judges, but I'll be honest and say I had a draw. Now I guess I'm supposed to hug something . . . hmm what could it be.
I agree, not boring. Arce applied a lot of pressure, and even though Ler was mostly on the defensive, he did counter effectively at times, and showed some heart when he got rocked late in the fight.
It'll be more of the same in a rematch . . . really no interest in seeing Bradley dominate 12 rounds. No question this fight should be a no contest. Was Bradley the better fighter? Yes. Did Campbell oversell the injury in order to end a fight he knew he was losing? Yes. But neither fact changes that there was a headbutt and the rules should be followed accordingly.
