At the Agua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage, California, Timothy Bradley (25-0, 12KOs) stopped Nate Campbell (33-6-1, 25KOs) after three rounds of action.
In the first two rounds, Bradley used his quick hands to outhustle Campbell with quick combinations and throwing more punches. Campbell was pushing forward and trying to catch Bradley while he was moving backwards. Bradley dominated the action in the third. There was a clash of heads that opened up a bad cut above the left eye of Campbell. At that point, Bradley began to batter Campbell against the ropes and got him in serious trouble.
The fight was stopped at the end of the third when Campbell complained that he couldn't see and advised his corner to stop the action. The ref thought the cut was caused by a punch and ruled it as such. Several Showtime replays showed a clear clash of heads causing the cut.
