I predicted this one to the tee.
Props to Floyd for a dominating performance, but Shane looked like he was throwing in quicksand in there. Naazim looked like he was going to stop the fight, even made Shane repeat what he said.
And I would've liked to see a lot less holding by Floyd in the second and a lot less elbows to the throat. Shane should retire and Floyd should fight Martinez or Williams at 154. There is no one at 147, including Pac, who stands a chance.
Come on? Pac stands a great chance.
All no, he doesn't have a better resume or legacy then any of them, skill wise it's hard to say, they was all extremely talented but so is Floyd.
There is defeiantly a case that his resume of wins is greater than Olivares & Cerdan.
He also get's on my nerves calling out Manny. But yet never mentions Devon Alexander's name. Manny would destroy him......He needs to fight Devon or Khan.
There isn't adjectives strong enough to describe how horribly boring he is.
I think I'd prefer to be tortured with medieval techniques than to watch him "fight"...
Awful, awful fighter.
:lol1: :lol1: :lol1:
I know anyone who says he's boring is probably a new fan because when he was "The Executioner" for real he was far from boring.
And seeing a man of his age compete for this long is far from boring. If you could only understand the little veteran techniques he uses you would love watching him.
Yeah, a friend of mine, who has been into boxing for around 23 years, walked out of his fight against roy in the rematch.:ugh:
what version of hopkins are you talking about?
45 year old hopkins or 30 something year old version?
There is a HUGE difference.
Young hopkins was phenomenal to watch imo. Obviously 45 year old hopkins has slowed down tremendously
Yeah his fights with Howard Eastman, Roy Jones(1st Time) Jermain Taylor were all classics.
Strongly disagree, the main issue here was that people didn't watch enough of Pirog, people didn't know much about him. He was beaten by the much better man.
But if he was as talented and good as every1 said he was, he should of put up a much better fighter.......imo
Benitez...Benitez did beat Duran(not the best Duran), Cervantes, and Palomino but Floyd has gone up to multiple weightclasses and dominated against good opposition...
I think he would beat JCC and Benitez...Benitez would be a close defensive snorefest probably unless Floyd changed his style up...
Haven't watched much of Marciano or LaMotta, so idk...
Why???????
Well considering the odds you are only gonna win about 50-75 bucks off your 900 dollar bet. I think there are more efficient ways to gamble your money.
You got any other bets man?
You need 1200?
I think Khan is the 4-1 favorite over Paulie.
They also have him at 9-1 odds to stop Paulie in 9 rounds. You might wanna try that bet instead.
Yeah....But u just said it's a safe bet.
I think Williams will swarm him from the opening bell. Unlike Martinez and Quintana Paul wont have to "find" Cintron. He will be there to hit. Cintron is below average vs. Pressure fighters and he doesnt have a plan B when his money punch doesnt work. I think Paul will get on top of him to take that right hand away.
Whats weird is that Cintron used to be a college wrestler but he is not strong on the inside and Williams is very strong on the inside for him to look so weak. I got Paul by stoppage in about 10 rounds or so. Cintron will give it his all though and make a fight out of it the best he can. But its just a bad style matchup for Kermit.
Truth be told Im actually hoping we get a classic war. Cintron has improved under Shields and is more of boxer now and seems to be jabbing more. But when I watched his fight with Angulo I noticed that even though Angulo is slow, methodical and predictable he was closing the distance on Cintron pretty fast with his pressure and I think we can agree that Williams is the much better pressure fighter and bigger.
Looks am gonna do it.......If he loses your to blame dude.....:D
