I'm pretty sure Whitaker got clobbered quite a bit. There's no specific threshold on what a mount of blows to the head can cause issues. It could have been one punch.
I honestly can't think of a more tiresome topic on boxingscene than this one
Absolutely, that fact that bits being discussed in 2016; a year removed from the dud of the century and Mayweather's retirement, is pathetic.
There's all kinds of interesting things in the world to talk about and this decides to be selected?

now that's gay.
Lucky bastard.
I'd have rustled that fat burrito straight out of his jimmies with quickness
And would have swallowed it whole if not for da thickness.
:lol1: :lol1:
Manny would fight him. Not sure he beats him anymore now that Crawford showed his latest wrinkle in his game, pot shot and dance. Manny isn't good against dancing pot shotters, he would get frustrated chasing him.
skills, Thats the bottom line.
if they both ran and trained the exact same amount of time barrera will still beat nas, all these dumb asses saying, preparation, lack of motivation DKSAB, if hamed was prepared and motivated he still will be limited skill wise and barrera beat him with skills and skills alone.
This. Skills, plain and simple. It wasn't a preparation thing. Hamed got timed, countered and beat up by the better fighter, on any night.
Canelo doesn't want to fight him at 160.
Canelo does want to fight him,
GBP has no problem with the fight they're just milking it, and making sure Canelo has all the concessions, and makes most of the money.
That's my opinion, anyways...
If Lil G is everything he's cracked up to be and beats Canelo it won't tarnish his career, it'll mean he lost to the two unbeatable fighters of his generation, thus far.
Maybe it's a great fight and they do it twice.
Anyone thinking Lil G will walk in their and get a knockout is just plain dumb, and have been forced fed too many Lil G mismatches over the years.
Canelo will fight in December on regular HBO against a 160 fighter, he said mentioned BJS
That's a good fight. I'd honestly rather see him try the champs at 154 first then try 160.
He could fight Williams, Lara 2, Andrade, and the Charlos. He should fight them all and hopefully does at some point. They're all young enough.
He might even fight some of them at 160, most of those guys are under 25 tears of age. They aren't gonna stay at 154 forever.
You going to Canelo Smith bruv?
Nah, too far. I'm not going to Texas for that. It's be fun though. Canelo should come to the forum and fight in the open sky. I'd travel for that. Or a Golovkin fight in Vegas. But I'm not traveling half way across the country for Liam Smith. I might not even order the fight or throw my usual fight party. Might save it for his Dec fight... Depending on who he fights.. Or if Manny Fights someone good.
Why move to 154 again when he hasn't fought there since Floyd? Boy stop it
What does it matter anyways. It's not about what weight class he's in, it's about who he's fighting. Atleast for me. I could care less if he goes up to LHW as long as he's fighting the best. Which right now he is not doing, and it's why I don't have much to say about him right now.
Canelo let you down, correct?
Yes. His last two opponents Khan, and Smith were a let down to me. From Floyd, Lara, Cotto, etc.
To Khan, and Smith? Yeah, that's a let down.
the people who don't like him are the same bunch of people who didn't like him since I been here three years ago. Except then, they coukdnt say **** about him because he was doing everything right.
The moment he showed signs of vulnerability, you guys decided then, it was the right time to unleash your hate. It was all just waiting out for the perfect moment to lash out at him because in the beginning, prior to the Mayweather loss and the fighting at 155, no one could say much about him even though deep down they despised him, sort of like yourself.
100 percent truth. So you have to ask yourself, as well as the others why have you always hated him?
Please, don't even bull**** and tell me "I only started hating him when..."
You mother****ers never liked him, and you never will. Period.
Many times, I tough old rugged journeyman, shocks the world and beats an up and coming prospect. It happens so so often. Imam, and Douglas his this past fiscal year.
I went to the dark side and stream all PPV. I paid $150 and have watched 6 PPV already so it paid for itself
Roger that. I know what youre using and I'm doing G the same thing. However, I will still buy things that are worth while.
Also my "thing" has also paid or itself.
All I know is Floyd couldn't wait for that fight to be over. It did not go as planned. I think Maidana surprised him at how much better he is, in the fight versus how he looks when you watch him. He actually fought a beautiful fight and was doing well not getting tagged with clean shots himself even though after the 8th round the fight for away from him and Floyd claws his way back into the fight but there's no ****ing way that was an 8-4 Floyd fight as most the score cards suggested, that was a draw type fight. There was no clear winner there but of course Floyd got backyard love, per usual.
