I am not a Canelo fan. I would even say that I'm a bordeline hater. But I can tell you that the decision not to fight ggg has absolutely nothing to do with physical fear. It was 100% business. Golden Boy wants full control over the negotiations. They are not leaving potentially millions of dollars on the table for the wbc. They are going to fight ggg whenever they goddamn please.

Canelo just doesn't want to fight at 160, but Cenalo/GGG fall of 2017 so why do you see people still attacking Canelo? i think that calling out ggg only to fight someone else is the main reason, and the criticism is well desrved for that matter... canelo taking a couple of tune ups to adjust at the full 160 limit before fighting GGG shoudnt bother anyone since he already vacated...

False! Oscar didn't want him to fight Lara and he got that fight done! oscar was on rehab back then, supossedly it was shaeffer who didnt want it, and i dont think that canelo respected richard the way he does oscar, he even admires oscar... not saying he cant demand this fight, but i think the he is actually listening to oscars advice, but i have to say it, oscar has screwed over some decisions lately ...

Canelo doesn't want to fight him at 160. Canelo does want to fight him, GBP has no problem with the fight they're just milking it, and making sure Canelo has all the concessions, and makes most of the money. That's my opinion, anyways... If Lil G is everything he's cracked up to be and beats Canelo it won't tarnish his career, it'll mean he lost to the two unbeatable fighters of his generation, thus far. Maybe it's a great fight and they do it twice. Anyone thinking Lil G will walk in their and get a knockout is just plain dumb, and have been forced fed too many Lil G mismatches over the years.

Ggg-canelo is the biggest money fight in boxing currently.. Canelo has forced his managers to land fights against their will before (lara,trout) but now he isn't forcing his managers to do anything, even though it will probably be Canelo's biggest career payday as the A-side. Canelo has sparred GGG in the past.. He knows what's up This^^^^^^^ I would be with the OP had Canelo not forced Goldenboy to make the fights against Trout and Lara. If he really wanted the fight it would happen. Especially after that in ring call in only to drop the belt after. I mean he has to know that makes him look like a punk

i take canelo for a tough mexican warrior who backs down from no challenge. his promoter however, oscar de la hoya, is a feminine emasculated male who wants to follow mayweather's plan of masterful matchmaking in order to keep canelo's record in tact. 1 loss to floyd isn't going to hurt him, but taking more losses to lesser fighters will. he knows this.
