Only a casual would call this a mismatch
Bundu is awkward and tough as nails...plus he has some pop.Dude gave Thurman all he could handle.
This is like Pascal vs Kovalev 2. I wanted to see Pascal to land some good shots at Kov and it didn't matter if he drew or lost. But it never came. Like I said these kinds of fights are frustrating to watch. I don't know why they keep making them.
It is a mismatch, but Spence gotta do what he gotta do to get Brook in that ring with him. Even Brook vacates and Spence ends up with a paper title, the paper title still comes with it's own star power and negotiating power. Just look what the paper IBF title did for Charles Martin, what the paper WBO is doing for Jessie Vargas, etc etc.
So Spence, do what you gotta do to get the title son.
Many times, I tough old rugged journeyman, shocks the world and beats an up and coming prospect. It happens so so often. Imam, and Douglas his this past fiscal year.
I've seen a lot of mismatches like this. As much as I wanted to see the underdog to win, they're frustrating to watch, "Why it this guy not letting his hands go? He's getting pummelled and he's not throwing anything. The ref needs to end this fight. It's useless."
