If You Put Your Mind to It, You Can Do It. - Evander Holyfield.
How to talk like a man - DIEGO CORRALES
If it makes money, it makes sense... but i dont buy it. - FLOYD MAYWEATHER.
Bwroxling. (Boxing +Wrestling) - RICKY HATTON
Fitness and physique - JAMES TONEY
Hell yea i think he's over-rated. He gives his fighters the wrong advice and his fighters can never adapt to changes in the fight. it seems they train for one style and if they r wrong they r fu**ed.
no one expected cintron to have a nervous breakdown in the middle of the fight. It's too bad, it wasn't like Kermit was physically dominated but he got shook on some hard shots and just crumbled.
I think Tony gets more credit than he deserves for this fight.
Kermit lost this one more than Tony won it.
how can u say that? he wasnt physically dominated but he was TKO'd?? he gave up because he couldnt take his power. a nervous breakdown is what happened to oliver mccall and that was cuz of drugs. cintron just got beat up.
what we've got here is a thread of Margarito fans (why anyone would be a fan of a guy that's never fought anyone is beyond me) and Floyd haters. Let's end matters like this. Floyd haters are afraid to see him surpass Roy and a bunch of other great fighters, but you guys just gotta learn to live with it. Floyd will retire among the top fighters to ever do it and there's nothing your crying can do to change that.
now excuse me if im wrong but no one even brought floyd up until u nuthuggers decided to make this a tony/floyd thread.
The Philippines.
Here's the trailer:

I was ready to bash it but it actually doesnt look that bad.
I dont think he had a nervous breakdown, but it seemed he had a mental lapse. That may in part or in full to blame on Margirito but im not sure.
I think Cintrion was getting confused, beaten and then tagged and just didnt know what to do, so he did nothing.
tru. he just got overwhelmed and didnt know how to handle it. took the fight too early in his career.
Winky won. Totally took jermain out of his plan, had him confused and left him wondering what the hell to do. He landed the better cleaner shots, stunned him a couple times, and make him look silly at times something Hopkins couldnt do. Anything else you wanna know?
Taylor wins the last round cuz he`s the Champ and Winky had to take it from him , if your in a Champinship fight and your not the Champ and you stop fighting ,YOU DONT WIN THAT ROUND !
So Hopkins should still be champ cuz what i saw in the 1st fight was Taylor hurt late in the fight. What did Taylor do in that fight? NOthing.
Randy finally gets his title shot after 2 controversial losses. I think he has a chance againts Juan Diaz even though I think Diaz should win. It should make for a good fight. Randy has a bigger punch than Pacquiao. Fight is at lightweight (135).

ur avatar looks like a dragonball z poster.
That very well may be what decided the draw, round 9 was really close and I can see your giving it to Jermain Taylor.
Winky was running, not the entire round but at times he was running no doubt. I can see your argument for it being a hit and run style, if he was hitting. Taylor landed nearly no punches in the round but Wright did the same. The difference is Taylor was coming forward and at least trying to connect. Whereas Wright was popping off shots and backing away.
I just don't think Wright did enough in that round to secure it, it reminded me a lot of De La Hoya vs Trinidad's final rounds.
Still I think Wright clearly won the fight. However I can also see the draw ruling but in no way at all can I ee anybody saying that Taylor won the fight.
i disagree. he was boxing.
Clearly baised, which means your opinion is no longer necessary here.
Thanks anyways.
You make it very easy to dislike you. You never give reasons for your judgement.
ROUND 12
Ahhh yes, the controversial round. Who won it? Opinion varies greatly. There's not really much action here at all, Wright dances away from Taylor who swings but misses far more often than he hits. The age old question, can you win a fight running away? My answer? No. I gave the round to Jermain Taylor.
While he didn't land anything, neither did Wright and Taylor was at least showing aggression.
I had the fight 115-113 for Ronald "Winky" Wright. How about you?
Now... ok i respect your opinion but just tell me at one pt in the round he was running? To me it was a hit and move style. There is a difference between boxing which is hit and not be hit and running, doing everything in your power to not get caught. If I'm correct by the middle of the round wasnt Winky still backing him up?
If he has been in that class for years, im not understanding how he never fought judah or spinks, if this has been going on for so long, why would spinks fight Mayorga which was a very dangerous fight and not take on Margarito?
I think its bullshit to think NOBODY AT 147 wanted a piece of Margarito, and again, WHY WONT HE MOVE UP IN WEIGHT AND TAKE SOME BIG MONEY FIGHTS THERE, WHY, WHY WONT HE DO THAT. You gonna argue everyone is scared of Margarito there too? There are so many Non-Floyd options for him its not even funny.
You going to tell me to think before i type as if what i just said wasnt a legit argument, based on what I see, Margarito is a smalltime alphabet champion, his record says it, his skills say it, and when Mayweather is done with him, his face will say it.
y move up with all the big names at 147? whos at 154? vargas? mosley? lmao he wants floyd and floyd doesnt want him.
SIMPLE AS THAT.
The excuses will be coming from williams when margarito ko's him...it would be an easy fight for margarito...williams has no skill...but we all know what will happen after he beats williams...all you gayweather Ball L*ckers will start saying that williams was a bum...just like kyvelos then cintron...
tru... tru. listen to the lady. she has more sense than 90% of u in here.
I don't think anyone is really criticizing him for fighting Baldomir, I know I'm not.
It's that the rules change week-to-week with Floyd, because of who he does or does not want to fight. He fought Judah because it was more money. Then even though Margarito was more money than THAT, he won't fight him because of his resume. But I don't remember him combing over the resumes of Judah, Mitchell, Bruselas, Gatti, Chop-chop, etc, saying they weren't worthy, and who have they beat, etc. Can you see the hypocrisy in THAT?
I'm fine with Floyd fighting Baldomir. It's what he does after that which is the issue of this thread, because although everyone wants to see Margarito fight Williams, Floyd is trying to give himself an out ALREADY, by deflating the next Margarito offer, even if he beats Williams. So why would Tony even bother fighting Williams? Williams looks to be a freak at 147, and will be very tough to beat. Margarito is the biggest puncher at 147, and the biggest danger to Floyd. Yet he rips both of these guys, but the guys he wants to fight are bulletproof and above all criticism. Can you see the hypocrisy in THAT?
good post.
I already gave up on a fight with Mayweather. FLOYD WILL NEVER FIGHT MARGARITO! And is praying everyday that he loses sooner rather then later. If Mayweather doesn't feel Margarito has earned a shot at him then he never will. Cause, all these fighters that some of YOU people want to see Margarito fight are all PROSPECTS, prospects that Margarito will KO and then you will want him to fight another prospect then another hoping he loses.
Before Maywether came on the seen this is what the Ring ratings looked like.
Before Baldomier became champion this is what the Ring ratings looked like.
When Juah was Ring champion this is what the Ring ratings looked like.

Tony beat Manuel Gomez who was number 4, he beat Kermit Cintron who was number 5, and beat Sebastian Lujan who was number 10 all by knockout. Lets see... Floyd beat Judah who was rated number 3 after losing to Baldomir and Mitchell who had just moved up in weight. So... how does he not deserve to fight him. Before Baldomir vs Gatti, these were the ratings:
Champ: Baldomir
#1: Floyd Mayweather
#2: Antonio Margarito
#3: Zab Judah
Since Gatti, everyone he has fought has been former champs!!!
and highly regarded around the time he fought them, except for maybe Mitchell.
ok... since gatti.... except for mitchell...... that only leaves judah. YEP... THATS EVERYONE!
AND JUDAH LOST TO BALDOMIR SO HE WASNT REGARDED HIGHLY AT ALL.
owned.
Floyd's comments don't mean a lot in this case.
The bottom line is that he's not fighting Mayweather anytime soon, so why not fight the best fights available outside of that?
Sure fighting Williams isn't a mega fight, but neither was Cintron and that was still a good win. When you start to add these prospects he's beat (not suggesting he will beat Williams), it defintaly ups his stock. I think the fans and media would recognize this if he were to beat Paul Williams.
The more he adds to his resume from this point on, the better.
so you want him to keep fighting these high risk guys who he wont get much credit for? honestly u r hating. he doesnt have to climb up the ladder anymore. hes been at the top but its guys like mayweather who keep looking down on him to the media in order to avoid him. The more he looks down, the more scared he gets, like heights.
never said hes the real deal but what made me a fan was the fight against santos. he was fight santos in P.R., outweight by 15 lbs and still had the heart and courage to take big shots and stay in there with a bigger man. he lost a bs hometown decision, u gotta love the good guy.
is that good enough for you?? or is it like floyd fans just goin on the bandwagon cuz floyd is so skillful but deep inside u really dont like the guy??
Please, Please don't bring race into question. Margarito isn't considered the best because he hasn't beaten any good opponents to prove it. All Floyd has said is that he needs to prove himself worthy to everyone before Floyd fights him. If he's the best why doesn't he just beat a good fighter or two to get to Floyd? Clottey is not going to do it.
Really who is left to beat in order for Floyd to fight him? Judah is done. Mitchell is done. Gatti is done. Collazo, Rivera, Urkal, Suarez, Williams, Quintana, are all fighters that if he beats then he still doesnt get that household name. So who really is there to fight?
