Thats why Floyd cant be called the best fighter in the world. He tries stealing every fight.
Since his comeback, hes beat Cotto, SSM. They arent top ten fighters p4p so how can that make Floyd p4p no1? I hear you say SSM was around no3 p4perhaps. Weve got hindsight to help us make judgement and no way was SSM no3 fighter in the world.
Floyd has done nothing.
And you think Manny has been impressive in the last couple of years?
Some really stupid people on this forum
His point is Floyd boxes, for Manny to have any chance he needs Floyd to trade with him.he also said Floyd beats Manny but ye overlook that.Floyd gave Marquez his worst beating in the ring, and Juan has always laughed at the notion that Manny could beat Floyd
Only now he is showing Pacquiao a bit more respect cos he is getting very rich from these 2 fights with Manny in the last year
Interesting match up but got to go with Ali in this one
I think he moved better and had better defence
Lewis size could play a factor but he was bigger than mercer and struggled
Lewis deserves respect but he is over rated
By the time he fought Tyson and Holyfield they were past it
Ali pre-exile I think destroys Lewis
Ward is a great boxer and up there in the P4P rankings but I still think he got away with a lot against Kessler.A fight with Pavlik won't do much for him either
One question, seeing as Floyd and Manny both fight at 147 and walk around at roughly the same weight, why is it ok for Pacquiao to fight guys from lower weights but unless Floyd moves up he is ducking?
I have no problem with someone not liking Floyd but to criticise him for things that Manny gets a pass on is ridiculous
People are saying Floyd vs Guerrero is a **** fight but Manny vs Guerrero would be good
Don't see it happening to be honest....defense is too good
The longer he fights he will lose but won't get knocked out
It's not inevitable just cos Pacquiao got sparked out
Marquez is older,in more wars and gets dropped a lot....why didnt you say it about him?
Because you hate the fact Manny has slipped from his perch and want to drag Mayweather down too
This ****ing forum is so childish
It's a bit of both....he obviously struggles with technical fighters but his style isn't good for longevity
Too many wars
If he was clever he would really take some time off now
I know Pacquiao fans are making him out to be a hero for fighting so soon but it would do him any favours
Some childish attitudes on here just cos he got the nod against Pacquiao
The rematch was there to remove all doubt but Pacquiao chose to fight Marquez
I think Bradley is a very good boxer but obviously not as good as he thinks but people around here make Rios out to be great when he is as limited as the come.Plus he is guilty of a gift decision too
This shouldnt be to hard to believe, Canelo hit Shane with everything he had, PBF just hit Shane with his usual 1, 1-2 punch combos, and that was enough to keep Shane at bay, PBF has real power when he sits on his punches. Not to say that Canelo dont have power, but beleive it or not, PBF might have more power he just chooses not to use it, but you see how many times he stops fighters in there tracks when he lands those crisp shots..
Exactly,his power is definitely underrated
He doesn't sit down on his punches that much but when he does he has power
Canelo throws with more intent and appears more powerful but as been stated earlier Mayweather's speed and accuracy adds to his punches
If he stays at 147 I don't see him losing anytime soon
Floyd has definitely slowed down but he doesn't really on speed as much as people think
He is capable of fighting in the pocket and winning
Floyd at this stage is still better than his competition no matter what age they are
Without getting too much in to conspiracies,I think Bradley got the nod so Pacquiao's position would be weakened therefore the risk of him leaving Top Rank diminished
Manny resigned before the last fight
I think Ariza has made comments on this too
Probably doesn't feel like he could go solo. There could be a non compete clause to prevent him from signing with GBP for some time, who knows. He's in the same boat as 99.9% of the boxers getting ripped of by the promoter. Oscar and Floyd are the exceptions, both aspiring promoters while fighting. Pac's got other interests, which often prove as lucrative. You know, people have gone broke forming promo companies and record labels, but I don't think anyone's lost money going into politics.
I understand your point but I doubt one of the biggest and most known fighters on the planet thought he would fail going solo.
Personally I think there are strange goings on in that relationship, remember the **** with Visionquest?
Hopefully Manny doesn't end up having to fight on for financial reasons but even Roach has said this could happen to him if he is not careful
So the editor craps on Mayweather for beating Corley a legit 140 lb guy back then, and sucks off Trinidad for beating a blown up middleweight Mayorga?
:lol1: My god Floyd could never win with publishers.
And has Hopkins at number one for beating Oscar
The hate for Floyd has always been strong
He doesn't have to pay 28% to Arum after Arum has paid him, it doesn't work like that. He has to pay Roach, Koncz, bunch more but he has no more obligation to Arum. It would be different if he took a fixed amount to fight on another promoter's show. Arum would have to get his, if he even allowed for it in the first place.
Arum gets 28% of Pacquiao's purse that's the deal he has
Arum makes plenty more by only fighting against TR fighters
Hence his reluctance to let Pacquiao fight outside his company
I know this article sounds like pure **** and has no credible evidence and he might just have had a sore hand after training....but Michael J Fox said he noticed his first when his baby finger kept twitching
So the doctor might just have seen that and presumed the worst but if his hands do twitch a bit it's worth getting it checked out
Over the last couple of years Manny's performances have dipped a bit,his work rate is down, leg cramps and now getting knocked out cold
It may not be Parkinson's but his body is breaking down so I think he should retire and be proud of all he has achieved
Arum will try milk him til the bitter end so I think he should just call it a day
Remember lads out of the 28m he made for Marquez,he still has to pay Arum his 28% plus Roach and the rest of his team
He is lucky to make 15m for himself
Now they have admitted that Floyds offer of 40m would have ending up making them around 50m on the back end, however that works
So after Arum and his team get his money,he would make close to 30m
Even if this fight sold 2m Floyd would probably get around 50m,with more add on's
Floyds offer sounds worse than it is and eliminates the risk for Manny when it comes to ppv numbers
Wether you think it's fair or not tho,its pretty obvious Arum has been scamming Pacquiao for years

Show me a link. Please make sure you understand what you're saying first
I know exactly what I'm saying, and Floyd wasn't the only one to report the percentage Manny has to pay
I'm not saying I know everything but his contract will be to pay a percentage of his purse to Arum
Not on how much the fight makes....
It might be too late but it was obvious to everyone that Pacquiao needs to self promote to make the big money
Floyd has to pay Haymon and GB a percentage
Manny pays Arum and Top Rank
Although it does sound like bull****,it should be noted that a doctor might notice something like this from seeing him on tv.Its a long shot but possible
Personally I think Manny will suffer later on in life because he gets hit too much.Same goes for the likes of Marquez and Mosley
Hope not but taking too many hard shots will eventually tell
