Can anyone really debate Pac being fighter of decade?

Thank you. The whole fighter of the decade scam looked exactly what it was when Marquez lifted that. It was designed to screw Mayweather of his deserved credit forever but in the end KARMA took care of business and made them whole decade fighting award team look like a bunch of crooks. All respect to Marquez which is definitely one of the best ever but we all know that belt was there for Pacquiao to lift. It back fired. agreed..pac was an easy choice for FOTD (2000-2009)..you also forgot to mention he beat ledwaba. from 2000-2009 pac won 3 lineal titles in 3 different divisions and 6 different world titles in 6 different divisions. in 2009 he became the first to ever win 4 lineal titles in 4 different divisions, and the first to ever win 7 world titles in 7 different divisions. he was also ring fighter of the year 3 times from 2000 to 2009. plus he was more active than floyd from 2008 to 2009. haters will hate, but pac was deserving of FOTD from 2000-2009...

He beat Marquez twice? He beat Morales 3 times? He barely beat Marquez once, he lost once to Morales. You can't be listing fighters losses like that to impress people. That's now how you measure accomplishments or how good a resume is. And I would put Pacquiao as the 4th best fighter of 2000-2009. Mayweather, Hopkins, Marquez ranking before Pacquiao. Thank you. Barrera trumps any win Floyd has, lets say Hatton Cotto bigger win than Castillo given that Pacquiao was seen as a midget moving up Marquez bigger win than Oscar Morales bigger win (s) than Judah Corales was a nice win too but you can substitute that for the 2nd Barrera win and that's still pretty close (Barrera just had razor thin loss to Marquez) Gatti and Baldomir you shouldn't have put on the list, it looks dumb. Margarito and Clottey both better fighters/wins than those two. :haha: And on which planet is this?

If we're talking entertainment and excitement then yeah it's hard to debate. But if we're talking who was the fighter of the decade, as in, the best fighter of the decade, then it's debatable.

I think what it all came down to is that in the second half of the decade, Floyd became a part time fighter. Manny basically fought twice as much. That would make a huge impact on who actually did more.

Floyd fought Zab coming off loss from Baldo True. And how do you evaluate that win given zab lost to baldo? Shouldn't equal standards be employed? And floyd fought the guy who beat zab.

Barrera was a great win for manny no doubt..but not bigger then any floyd win..corrales is on par with that win marquez win is disputed and not bigger then floyds oscar win,in that same breath floyd beat jmm to and dominated him Morales was shot to sh1t and drained,not to mention coming off of a shut out loss margo win is a joke and clottey never beat anyone worth mentioning,......atleast baldo was the lineal champ and gatti is a hall of famer Manny lost to Morales than beat him twice after he lost to Zahir Raheem. He was the only fight erik won between late 04-07. are the morales wins really that impressive?
