yeah, like they just know it ain't right.
What would the implications be towards the commission if anything were to happen to Margo?
Maybe they'll just throw the doctors under the bus. These might be the "political discussions".
hoping it is. anyone know?
Yes!
From the MSG website:
The Cotto-Margarito weigh-in will be held on Friday, December 2nd at 5:00pm in the Theater at MSG and is open to the general public:
Tickets are free, but are required for entry
You can pick up 2 free tickets at the MSG Box Office between 9am Wednesday and 12pm Friday during box office hours
They can mention that Cuba is also a communist nation, so Rigo is like an honorary citizen of China. This might be the only way he ever gets a fanbase.
I think Pac-Clottey was promoted better than this fight, I just saw the first commercial last night for this fight last night. Most people I know don't even know this fight is happening next week.
Pac-Clottey also had a few things going for it:
- There was still intrigue in MP moving up in weight
- First boxing event at Cowboys Stadium
- Less fan fatigue that MP's opponent wasn't Floyd, or in other words not as much of a letdown.
Still should be a good show next week.
Shawn Hawk was the first person I thought of. This article about American Indian boxers talks about him.

I think GBP makes a better effort to stack a card, but I have no allegiance either way.
Khan, Canelo, Ortiz, Hopkins all increased their star power. On the other side I think only Rios did the same, although Donaire was on the verge and Gamboa still has a chance.
I think Lara will pull off the upset. If he can contend with P-Will's workrate and counter effectively, he can do it. Regardless, I think it will be a good fight.
I've been hearing rumors of Brandon Jacobs facing another NFL player if there is a lockout, but I remember it being a Baltimore Raven, not a Viking, could be wrong though.
I heard it would be on an undercard in Meadowlands Stadium, so it could be Cotto-Margarito or some other possible card.
Probably has to be Tom Zbikowski, who actually has had a pro fight.
Two years ago I thought Lara was the safe pick to be a star. I thought his style translated better than Rigo's and he didn't have the same defensive issues as Gamboa.
Now that Gamboa seems to have developed some discipline, he has the highest ceiling.
I'd probably go no matter what the card looks like. I went to Cotto's stadium fight and had a good time. MCU is much smaller and the boardwalk would be a cool backdrop.
Hah...wow ppl here really lack vision..he's talking about good lighting shows, lasers and crap, fireworks/pyrotechnics, ring models (not corona girls), etc. This isn't a bad idea but it cuts a ton from the profit margin which makes other promoters not happy.
Agreed. As long as it's not too outlandish, I think a more elaborate ring walk would be a good way to create a larger-than-life atmosphere, plus allow fighters to show off some character. Just a ramp, flashing lights, and LED screens would make a big difference. I could do without pyro.
Whoever he fights it will be the most watched boxing fight in history. Period.
If Zou co-mains and the card is shown in China; certainly possible. I expect whoever the opponent, it will be an exciting match, which would be good for an audience this large.
That's said, I'm not interested in watching the fight.
Sorry, just wanted to add...
Don't hate me, but I like what the MMA promotions did in Japan. For example:
Nothing too crazy and I really like the use of the arena around the 1:00 mark.
Last thing, no mini-concerts ever! I always find them awkward at a sporting event.
