he does it again here
when ortiz goes to throw, mayweather immediately throws with him & neutralizes victors shots..............

Actually while your post before was spot on, this gif shows something completely different. This is a classic Floyd trap. he positions his left fist forward creating distance between him and ortiz. Ortiz then has to get past the arm to get in close so he decidse to parry floyds left arm. you can see clearly that is not a punch from ortiz. its soft and nowhere near floyd's face or body. But it would have moved floyd's left down if floyd had kept it there.
This movement from Ortiz gives floyd an opening and he throws the right.
The reason Floyd seems so fast sometimes is because he reacts before it happpens. He controls the actions of his opponents and knows exactly what is about to happen as he has orchestrated the exchange.
this **** is ridiculous. 27 lbs of muscle? he never weighed more than 200lbs and most light heavyweights weigh around 185lbs on fight night. he dropped less than 15 lbs. thats a lot but he shouldnt have weighed as much as he did as a heavyweight. that muscle would have went fast.
This excuse is a myth. He might have not have been as good as he use to be but tarver had his number.
\\
Watch Jones/Woods then Jones/Tarver I and see the difference in Roy physically. If you can't see a difference you might need to see an optometrist.
When a fighter has a conflicting style with you youre never going to look as physically as good. Woods is exactly the type of fighter for roy would look incredable againest. Tarver no.
Im not saying the weight loss wouldnt affect him but let not conjure up this myth that is ruined him.
I thought roy weighed less than 200lbs (197?) in the ring againest ruiz. if so how did he need to drop 20lbs of muscle? he could have dropped around ten and still make the light heavy limit no problem. Not that difficult considering the muscle he put on was un-nateral for his size. he was going to lose it anyway.
Pacquiao - Mosley, 1.25 million +
Cotto - Margarito II, 500k
Wlad vs David Haye 850k
Pacquiao vs JMM 3, under 1 million.
I will do that in the UK alone. Would it be PPV in the states?
i'm assuming pac/shane are using clitoris gloves since manny loves those and they're hitters gloves. Those grants are more like pillows, better for protecting brittle hands. Wonder if shane would've sparked out floyd in the second with the clits. The world will never know.
loooollllllllll
I agree but the P4P is subject to individual interpretation and bias/hype which is why we see some pretty odd lists on here.
Yeah I dont get Ward being on the list either was Kessler on the lists before the loss of those who now now rank Ward there? Nope :lol1:
Its almost like playing fantasy football or something people do the lists for fun.
But you get the same thing happening in the media. I cringe sometimes when i hear boxing journos talk about some fighters. very few properly professional opinions out there, most seem like mild fanboys with a job title.
What is up with this whole nationalism crap?
No nationalism intended. I am just stating that perhaps we arent as critical of Americans fighters as we are of others. I would still have many Americans in any lists. I just think there is too many in contrast to their acheivements.
I'm a Brit. nd i wouldnt have any Brit in a top 10 P4P.
African Americans have a genectic slickness. Alexander is an African American boxer so is automatically slick. Even if he hasnt showed us this yet he is capable.
Roy's diminished skills had more to do with the fact that he moved up throughout his career and claimed the highest possible title of HW.
You can't put on 30 pounds of muscle and take it off without breaking your body down to the point where you will never fully recover and be yourself.
If you can't pull the trigger you can't pull the trigger.
Especially when it is unnateral muscle. Much harder to come back down when you have this muscle on you which you are never suppose to have, and its even harder to lose it in the right places.
robinson and jones were both 5'11, i would love to see robinson move up to heavyweight
considering he was overpowered by lamotta, roy was probabley twice as strong too :)
Sorry but jones move to heavyweight wouldnt have been possible in rays era.
Some say it isnt possible now.(without help)
Jeff Lacy was never elite. Was NEVER a pound for pound entrant.
While i agree he was not elite, Calzaghe proved that, he was considered as a pound for pound entrant and most people said whoever won this fight would enter the top 10.
Calzaghe won and became an entrant. If Calzaghe was as bad as most in America thought, Lacy could have very likely entered the top 10.
