So check this out, all recent British Boxers are full of hot air, and simply can't back it up on the big stage, there is no wonder this Nations culture is all bravado and nothing to back it up. If the boxers behave this way, is it little wonder the general public behave the same...
Firstly we had David Ghaye who put on a "run from the big man" show against Klitch. All that talking up the fight, and what did it come down to... a little toe was injured.
Next we had Amir King Khan, yeah we all knew his jaw was carved out of glass and couldn't fight top class. Look what happened against Peterson, he got beat good and proper... Then he talked crap about it was him against the ref and a fighter. Poor excuses, and yet another example of ego before talent.
Finally we have Cobra man Carl Froch, I used to like him, but over the last couple of years, he has gone from humble to thinking he can talk rubbish once he'd had a few wins. Well what happened? Yes he got totally outclassed in his fight against Ward.
So in conclusion, none of the so called British current crop of fighters can make the grade. They all talk crap and have little to back it up. They are supposed to be role models for others, and its because of idiots like this, they influence the nations people to have the same cocky attutudes, and its all about milking it for what they can get, seems to be the attitude nowadays instead of proving yourself first and foremost.
Anyone think the same?
Not sure what your on about too be honest TS,outside of Haye every British fighter ive seen has shown a tremendous amount of heart and always comes to fight,if they come up short at an elite level its simply because they arent good enough, but atleast they dont duck the best challenges out there like most of the americans do now,its better to try and fail than to not try at all
carl froch would duff you for talking like that
he was even keel with kessler
beat pascal
abraham
taylor
johnson
and fought close with dirrell (though i thought he lost)
andre ward happens to be the best young fighter on the planet. there is no shame in losing to him
