Not a pro.. but good enough.
If I knew and had the time to make gifs I would create an ultimate gifs thread. Someone deffo should start one. Be great. Gifs of boxers doing brilliant things in the ring.
Make it... people will just add to it. Just make a disclaimer to put nice, clear, sized gifs (And to stay on topic).

ya like when rjj put his hands behind his back and koed the guy with his right that was sick
sht and overrated, even if jones is my favourite fighter, glen kelly is a bum, and that fight sucked
Exactly, that gif is the best to me. You see Mayweather luring Ortiz into a trap and it works perfectly. Ortiz doesn't use his right hand to hit Floyd's face, he only wanted to take away Floyd's left arm, and then after he would have try to punch Floyd with the opening created. Pac likes to do that a lot against the big robots ( Marg and Clottey come to my mind ). However it's a total trap, as soon as he tries to push Floyd's left arm it creates an opening on HIS side and Floyd just land on him a straight right. It must be really discouraging to fight against him.
discouraging enough to illegally head butt him, one might say.

Also people need to realize that as soon as you fall into a trap like that, you can't do anything against it. This gif is amazing, the second Ortiz throw the right hand, the straight of Floyd is coming instantly, you have absolutely no reaction time to dodge it. People always say a great pressure fighter that throw a lot of punches would beat Floyd. That's bull***, i've always think that if someone will beat Floyd, it needs to be a really intelligent fighter, somebody that will actually think in the ring and see the traps that Floyd will put on his path, before falling into them like a retard.

Hard left by Ortiz!
Actually while your post before was spot on, this gif shows something completely different. This is a classic Floyd trap. he positions his left fist forward creating distance between him and ortiz. Ortiz then has to get past the arm to get in close so he decidse to parry floyds left arm. you can see clearly that is not a punch from ortiz. its soft and nowhere near floyd's face or body. But it would have moved floyd's left down if floyd had kept it there.
This movement from Ortiz gives floyd an opening and he throws the right.
The reason Floyd seems so fast sometimes is because he reacts before it happpens. He controls the actions of his opponents and knows exactly what is about to happen as he has orchestrated the exchange

Great work on the GIFs.
So, for those who were too lazy to see the fight, or didn't know what to look for and said that Floyd was hitting nothing but air: Here's your proof. But I guess there's nothing to argue about since only one delusional hater entered this thread that consist of 9 pages (so far).
Back to the fight.
Now, for the last 4-5 years I've been hoping that HBO would drop Lampley/Merchant, and to some degree Steward, and give more room to Kellerman and even Papa. I actually heavily prefer the HBO BAD-team over Lampley/Merchant. It's like Jim insists on letting punches slip by him on purpose. How many times did he, wrongfully, say "Good punch/left hand/cross by Ortiz", when Ortiz didn't land anything and Floyd countered his ass instead. And one of the most embarrassing sport-commentating incidents I've ever witnessed in recent times when he went "Bang!" 16 times in 22 seconds.
Steward too is on a steady decline himself. He doesn't speak his OWN opinion or he just doesn't care anymore. He agrees with everything Jim and Larry says when it sounds like he really doesn't. I actually liked when they had Lewis and Roy in the studio. Better yet, they should hire Tarver.
Max, Tarver and Papa.
