I always had a theory that any man over 200 lbs has the ability to hurt anyone. Wilder was twenty pounds lighter and still did major damage to Ortiz. Once you break that 200 mark, unless your out of shape than you have the size to hurt anyone.
This is a huge blow to GGG marketability. He was touted as a world-beater yet he would not move up out of his weight class. Yet he was compared to other p4p fighters that moved up multiple times and won belts outside of their natural weight.
He then begged the Jr. Middleweight Canelp to move up and fight him yet he wouldn't move up to fight Andre ward. Now after losing to the smaller guy, the smaller guy is doing what GGG refused to do and moving up to challenge for a belt.
People should stop using the Bradley fight to judge Devon. For the few minutes they actually boxed, Devon clearly got the best of him. Forcing someone to dodge head butts is not beating them. Bradley was throwing himself head first into Devons face on purpose. He should have been docked big time.
By making this fight, I will never post anything negative about him again. I don't even care how annoying pac and floyd fans are.

The fact of the matter is that Cotto and Canelo were always going to fight. It was in the works long before they met. That Cotto had the belt is a technicality. If he would have stayed at jr. Middle he wouldn't have had it and guess what, canelo would have still fought him. Casuals are acting as if Canelo fought Cotto to get the MW belt which he didn't. If anyone had an obligation to fight GGG it was Cotto, he not Canleo that campaigned at 160.
GGG absolutely has to earn the right to fight Canelo. Canelo by his mid twenties had faced the best in his division without question. He built up his own star appeal by fighting top opposition win or lose. He has headline his own successful ppv as the main attraction. GGG is almost 35 and is still, still feeding on Friday night fighters and he is expecting Canelo to boost his profile why? Because he has a belt that he never campaigned for or even wanted? If he is who he says he is he would have accepted Lara's challenge, or Ward or Degale and stop feeding off these fragile no name fighters.

Floyd never accepted 50-50. He kept saying he was not willing to go 50-50, it was his camp that wanted that. $40 million did not include PPV buys. I don't think you can link here but I would have linked an article where Pacquiao's advisor counter offered $50 million and winner of the fight gets 55% PPV buys while loser gets 45%. His advisor went as far as flying to Vegas to speak to Floyd. In a youtube interview which I don't think I can link here, Floyd confirms this and even said he's the highest paid athlete and has to have 100% of the PPV buys. And where did the third offer come from?
Your leaving out a major detail. Floyd agreed to the 50-50 if it could be validated. Arum never opened his books so no one knew if Manny was actually worth %50 or not. It was no secret what Floyd made but no one knew or knows what Manny is actually worth.
Floyd took issue with this because he has to put up money on his end. Do you not remember Arum trying to dictate Floyds guarantee? The money that Floyd offered Manny comes from Floyd. That 40 million is his money, and it's a lot to be throwing around especially since Manny doesn't have to offer anything up. The promotion would have been handled by Golden Boy and TMT, Top Rank would not have had to do anything but collect dues from Manny. Yet we have this whole fiasco because Arum wants more money and Manny can't stand up to him and force the issue.

What has Maidana ever shown to suggest he would not walk through and land on Manny? Or that he can't set traps on fast fighters? Better yet fast intelligent boxers?
What evidence is there from any of Manny's fights to suggest he could simply tee off on Maidana with no consequence like a Margarito or Cotto?
You really need to re-watch their fights then. Maidana has been swarmed before and he does not respond by simply standing there and taking it.
Maidana uses timing as good as anyone else. He timed fighters just as fast and arguably faster than Manny and was able to land hard on them at distance and in close quarters.
All in all canelo is one of the best counter punchers I've ever seen. For a guy with such slow feet he has impeccable placement and spatial awareness it makes him look quicker than what he is.
We saw the difference with floyd though.
