Broner is about to be 30 and is still acting like a clown.Ryan is 19 so he is young and can grow out of that persona. Hopefully.
I hope so. It would be nice to see him turn into something great. I was a Broner fan at first and thought he'd grow out of that, but he never did. Only time will tell with Ryan.
Same here. Pretty much both guys rely on their handspeed and thats it.
Yeah, that's what it looks like to me after last night. I expected more of an effort. He looked like Tyson against Douglas, like WTF happened?
it's a catch 22. Garcia has been fighting opponents that are at the same level that other top prospects are facing he's just destroying them quicker and easier then everybody else. His last fight was supposed to be a step up against a durable guy who just recently fought Christopher Diaz another blue chip prospect who is older and more years as a pro then Garcia. Diaz went the distance with one judge had him only winning by only 1 round. Everyone thought this guy would give Garcia some rounds and work but he was demolished in 1 round. So if you keep moving him up slowly what is he really learning by killing these guys off so fast. But if you jump him up in class too fast and he loses everyone will kill you saying why did you put a 19 year old in the ring with that guy so early you ruined his career.
That's right.
Since it don't seem like Crawford will be fighting Spence any time soon, I'd like to see him fight Porter just to see if he could do better. I get the feeling Crawford knows that would be a really tough fight.
True that's why he went against all logic and threw Joshua in with Klitchko who's never lost twice in a row in his 19th fight ? That protected Joshua what a fraidy cat that Hearn is :burnout:
Klitschko was old and had already lost to Furry, so that's not a very good example. The fight was still a risk of course and an impressive win for Joshua. I think Hearn wants a higher reward for the risk Wilder presents, but Wilder wasn't going to give them that high of a percentage. That fight just needs more time before its made.
It was an amazing experience in person. A lot of British fans there. A lot more than it seemed if you watched the telecast. They were very loud in the arena. That last knockdown was crazy. I thought for sure Furry was out. Me and my girlfriend thought Furry won, but we didn't score round by round. Its just the feeling we had after watching the whole fight. I was a little disappointed Deyontay didn't have more to his arsenal. Some of his punches are really bad looking lol I don't know why he doesn't fix that. I think Furry will beat him in a rematch. A more exciting fight would be Joshua vs Wilder. I think Furry beats Joshua.
A whole looootta Brits man I never seen that many Brits in my life.
Yeah and a lot of them were drinking and talking ***** lol It was a good night. I took binoculars. I saw Shaq, the game, Holyfield, Spence, Leo Santa Cruz, Mayweather and some famous boxing trainers. It was a good night
I'd say 99% of the time when someone says this is the only time I'm going to talk about this, they are hiding something or lying. She's also using her little girl as an excuse to not have to talk about it any more. This woman is trash.
I might be in the minority here, but I like the path they have laid out for Joshua. I think he won the IBF title too soon and should fight these two fights before Wilder. Get some more experience before facing Wilder, not that Wilder is this great champion, but he does pose a risk. In the mean time Wilder should fight a couple more fights too and this fight will really build up. It will also give time for Furry to get back to his old self. One more year is not that long, but I do understand we all want to see it now.
Like Mike Tyson, Broner doesn't have the character to be a champion. He's a good fighter, but no matter who's in his corner, he'll never live up to what he says he is. He was 100% as ready as he will ever be for any fight. That was as good as he gets. And Mikey had something to do with making Broner look bad.
I just find it bizarre that people want it both ways. They want to say how great Mikey is for winning, but they also want to say how bad of a fighter Broner is...like almost taking the credit away right back from Mikey.
That's the internet for you. They wouldn't dare say that in front of Broner.
I don't even like Broner and wanted him to win.
Why?
Because Mikey Garcia in a video showed support to the cop who killed Philando. I mean really, a case of a cop killing someone for no reason can't be more cut and dry even if Hollywood was involved.
Mikey = Supporter of cops killing innocent blacks.
I saw that dash cam video, and no one can say that guy wasn't pulling out that gun. If anything, the officer's reactions showed the guy was pulling it out. The cop even reached into the car, like he was trying to physically stop the man, but decided he had to shoot.
mike tyson is a hall of famer and was one of the very best fighters on the planet in his teens and early 20's
Definitely. I should have put "great" in front of champion, even though I do think he was still an all time great for a short time.
I don't think you can train a fighter to throw more punches. That's all on Broner. He's either lazy, doesn't have the stamina or his speed and power only works in spurts. I think he concentrates more on looking flashy by being fast and hitting hard and you'd have to do that in spurts. I'd like to see him get a new trainer just to see, but I have a feeling Broner will always be Broner.
