A video of a fighter from 10+years ago may seem interesting... but non of them can be used to support an argument.
"Fighters Are Only As Good As Their Last Fight"
#1 imo...he's the only fighter to have 7 different titles in 7 different divisions....and if he beats the winner of mosley and money than that pretty much seals it....
you don't know what you are saying....
What does it tell about you when: The p4p #3 and welterweight champion is old, past it (only after the fight is signed, before that he was ducking Mosley, a true welterweight lol), the p4p #2 is a tuneup and when facing the p4p #1 you are the favorite. Mayweather is the greatest, PERIOD.
First of all noone is ducking someone, in boxing someone is ducking something.
Boxing is a business, more like a partnership...if you see a partner not good for your business why make business with him?
now with P4P#3, he is old and past prime..but he proved himself as a formidable opponent to anyone infront of him in the ring, he's big and has power and speed.
The P4P#2? IS A FREAKIN' LIGHTWEIGHT FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! GET OUT OF HERE! HE SHOULD HAVE NOT BEEN A TUNE-UP FOR A WW TO BEGIN WITH!
If only I had billions of dollars I'd kidnap Floyd and Pac, build a cage and let those 2 fight in there at gunpoint. now that would be a great fight.:boxing::hitit:
You're right.
Do you think Floyd will be favored against Pac?
Let me share my opinion on this Burner.
Personally I favor Floyd against Pacquiao... he is that good, no matter what people say about Floyd outside the ring it is utter bullshit to disregard Floyd's extreme talent. He is a defensive master and very calculated in releasing his offense. Floyd is Prime, Pacquiao is still priming.
Both Pacquiao and Floyd are dangerous to each others legacy... but in the end... we the fans are in a win-win situation, they are our fighters, don't look at the race or nationality. They are here to fight for us to watch. Enjoy them while they last.
You don't like Floyd. Your just a pactard with Manny's dick in your mouth. The only world you live in is pactard world. Shut the **** up and go jack off to wapakman
These words make NSB a shitplace... it was better before. You guys always resort to these kind of post when you got nothing logical or relevant to say.
It gets both ways... to PAC AND FLOYD NUTHUGGERS... you guys made this forum a garbage dump.
I think Floyd wouldve destroyed the Cotto that Pac fought.
He wouldve boxed Clotteys head off.
He wouldve beat Morales and Barerra easily.
It goes both ways. Floyd and Pac need to get in the ring together.
would have, could have... wow don't you just hate it when that's the strongest argument you got to back-up Floyd?
It's hard to imagine Floyd having a problem taking him to the 12th with no problem and we all know what's going to happen if it goes 12. You don't honestly believe Pac has a chance at outboxing Mayweather, do you? So you're betting on a knockout. If not, and you believe he could actually outbox a guy who's been outboxing his whole life like MW JR, think about that logic. Fine by me as long as you enjoy your 5% chance on that bet. I'll put my money on the guy who's been boxing technically his whole life who's never been down or really tagged good against the guy who just recently started being more technical.
It's just a bad fight for pac. I think that's why, if any of his handlers don't want it, the reason would be that they dont wanna see the decision after 12 rounds with mw jr. because you know, pac is alot of those handlers main cashflow source...just thinking logically here, you know...In their minds, they think if Pac's 0 goes that PPV numbers would go down, lol they wouldnt
I do feel that Pacquaio has improved very much beginning with Morales, but you cannot train a guy who was a pure aggressive offensive fighter for years and years anything new that would contend with techniques a man like Mayweather has been practicing for much longer periods of time.
well how many punches per round do they make?
Floyds =
Manny =
and how many would land, miss, slipped?
can you see what will happen thinking about their workrate?
i was actually banking on how mw counters, how many different rhythms he can fight on opposed to pac's few and the fact that floyd's never been down or hurt. It's obvious that he's the better gamble if you approach it with a logical unbiased view.
zab judah.
For your information before you come in here Flaming this is what i responded too:
So next time read back before you flame.
LOL at you calling it FLAMING...hahaha. I'm not flaming bro... I'm just saying that it sucks using woulda..coulda. Same can be said to El Pacman... he's a biased poster but as I often say I have respect for all of you guys even when we often agree to disagree.
You have seen FLAMING here before Burner, and I think you know I am not.
fellas I prefer to watch Pacquaio any day and if someone retires I hope it's Mayweather after they fight because Pac's got that exciting style and, I feel, does more for the world of boxing than Mayweather. But I mean, if you had 200 million dollars to your name and you were forced to put it all on Pacquaio in Pac vs Mw, you would do it?
Because it's not a smart bet, a smart bet is Mayweather to win that fight, styles make fights and it is what it is... even though Pacquaio is better for boxing and I like watching him fight more than I like watching Mayweather fight, it is what it is
The logical bet is placing it on Mayweather...
The most rewarding might be with Pac, If he's the underdog and he pulled-off an upset you'll be making alot of money here.
I do believe Manny can beat Floyd, as well as Mosley can beat Floyd.
where do you feel that pacquiao stands all time if he wins over the mayweather-mosley winner (in convincing fashion) and then retires?
non biased answers please.
please dont post if you have less than 500 posts and pacquiao in your avatar or sig
i am a fan of pacs, and hes probably the most exciting fighter and possibly - the most talented of this decade. it seems that way for now at least. but as i am only truly familiar with boxing back to the mid 90s, i - as a boxing fan - can not give a real opinion on where pacquiao stands all time.
I feel inside the 30. But I'll leave it to the experts..to those views are valid and official.
It's almost a no-brainer. It's been asked over and over and the outcome is still the same.
Floyd Mayweather is the better boxer of the two...definitely.
Though Pacquiao was often times regarded as one dimensional he did what he had to do with his available skills through hard work and it has been rewarding all these years.
If only Mayweather did not chose to retire prematurely then unretire too late it would have been better for his career.
Pac's legacy is Pac's legacy regardless of the tests.
Pac has not tested positive before. Gave both blood and urine for these tests.
Gave blood 21 days before the fight with Clottey...was it POSITIVE?
Only morons would really believe that Pacquiao is juicing.
It's a shame the the Mayweather's need to do this kind of drama to make them look they know shit.
The truth is that USADA have not yet detected HGH in the past 3 years of Olympic testing, how confident are they when they are funding a URINE test for HGH?
retard. its the best way to detect it. and obviously team pac knew as well, thats why they didnt want any blood drawn and wanted to give unlimited urine. b/c they know they cant fool blood test.
Pac is blood-doping and his career is fabricated
so im goign to said again, when has an athlete been accused of using PEDS and it not turn out to be true? 9 out 10's its always true
IRONY... a retard accusing someone as a retard.
HAHAHA! funny shit.
When it's your man being thought of using it everyone who makes that statement a retard?
And please take some reading comprehension first.
Where in my post did i say that blood's not the best way to detect it? i just said that a breakthrough was done months ago and now they can detect it through urine, though it needs more studies.
Kid can you do your homework first and type "NanotrapTM ESP Particles" on google. you might educate yourself regarding this matter than just blatantly branding a fighter guilty.
But isn't it more impressive that a smaller guy TKOed Cotto than a much bigger guy?
That is the common misconception. Pac's walking around weight back when he was fighting Morales for the third time was 155. Pac struggled to make 130lbs fighting JMM for the second time. I really believe Pac's natural fighting weight now is at 140lbs, but he proved that he can be as effective in 147 because he's faster than most guys in 147lbs today.
I can always spot a boxrec warrior.
Floyd beat Castillo in his prime twice in the same year. In 2002.
Hatton beat a shot Castillo 5 hears later after fights with Lazcano, Casa, Diaz, Two Corralles fights, and a fight with Ngoudjo where Castillo looked terrible and got a gift decison. He was not the same fighter.
Hell you talkin about.
Excuse me and get your facts straight. PBF lost his first fight with Castillo, his only decisive win with Castillo was the rematch.
But in a BOXREC manner...well ok, he won both fights with JLC.
So many threads/posts/reactions to this issue.
The commission must take this into consideration.
I must say Pac and Floyd must agree to this and the only thing I see the Pacquiao camp agreeing is that if the commission requires it.
Just a thought why Floyd Jr knew about HGH and the testing. Maybe he used this kind of drugs before...MAYBE. I'm not hating, it just crossed my mind after reading the article that hammerhiem posted.
If Mayweather knew that HGH can only be detected through random blood testing which the commission does not require, and it cannot be detected through urine...Maybe...just maybe he took some in the past.
Just a thought, not hating.
Did you know Cotto had to cut 17 Pounds to fight Pac? And after that he rehydrated to how many pounds?
Did you know Hatton had to cut 40 Pounds to make 140?
And after that he rehydrated to how many pounds?
Do you know that Clottey will have to cut atleast 20 Pounds to make 147?
And after that he will rehydrate how many pounds?
Did you know that Oscar had to cut about 14 Pounds to make 147?
And after that he is stupid to not even try to rehydrate.
So what was your point about Chico cutting weight again?
How much weight did Chico rehydrated into?
well, you basically said it at your previous post. It's not a fighters fault if he won against a fighter who is not 100% there.
bullshit....packy aint no diego corrales........he woulda fukked floyd bad...
the Chico who fought JLC would win against the Pac who fought Morales I anytime.
Pac who fought Diaz would KO Chico who faced Floyd.
For those of you who think he will win (I'm not decided yet, I'll decide after their next fights).
Surely at 130 Mayweather would have beaten Pacquiao who lost to Morales once and drew/won SD over Marquez. At 135? Pacquiao looked like a beast but he was only fighting David Diaz so it's hard to hell. 140 and 147 Pac beat up Hatton ODLH and Cotto but if you can finger point the moment Pac became good enough to beat Floyd let me know...
His progression is so strange, haven't seen anything else like it in boxing.
same here, I have not seen anything like it. And the image of him beating Cotto still makes me shrug my shoulders.
He just got better at 135lbs, it's there when I saw that he was finally comfortable with his right hand. Too bad that fight was with the limited David Diaz. But still If you look at that fight in slow motion you can see the difference with the way he fights against JMM...or maybe that's because Diaz is also a southpaw.
But it's really tough to compare Pac and Floyd. Pac is still in the learning process but Floyd is already a master. I can't see any boxer today as pure a boxer like Floyd, second to his skills I put Calderon.
Manny on the other hand is something special too. Maybe it's his movements and speed...the way he uses that speed and the way he throws his punches in angles you never expect, like the way he caught and knocked Cotto.
They are two different boxers. In a warrior kind of way Manny is better than Floyd because of courage and confidence that makes his fights worth watching because it's more exciting. But when it's about boxing skills Floyd Jr is a much better boxer than Pacquiao.
http://fighthype.com/pages/content7008.html
A good read.....particularly the last sentance......which is why every boxing fan should support what Mayweather is proposing.......
Boxing needs to contract out it's testing to WADA or the USADA....this gives boxing instant credibility and avoids conflicts of interest...
Good read. Thanks for sharing it. So UKAD finally detected the 1st since that kind of testing was available. I wonder why the USADA hasn't yet.
But now I believe they can detect HGH in urine, and this is good news.
I just hope Pac and Floyd agree on something to make this fight. I don't want this fight happening when they are 40+yo
So Chico wasn't good? Dude was undefeated before he met Floyd. But Chico fights nothing like Pac. Pac got boxed by JMM and JMM defense was/is not as tight as Floyd's. Floyd schools Manny at that weight man. I did a thread and a poll on it and it was a LANDSLIDE, Floyd over Pac.
True, but Chico was not the same Chico and everybody saw that. Did you know that Chico had to cut 18lbs to make the weight?
Anyway, any boxer with a good chin and a great defense would have a chance to win against Chico.
i don't know if pacquiao is good enough to beat floyd. floyd could be a style mismatch for pacquiao (though you could say the opposite as well)
i know when pacquiao's resume pased floyd's though and that was a couple years ago.
I agree, Pac's southpaw stance and style plus speed as of today might present problems to Floyd Jr.
Floyd's overall skill and fighting instict might give Pac a tough fight... a much tougher fight than JMM.
We can never know, only retards here know for sure who wins.
most of my post was directed this part of yours
so ummmm, this explains why team pac doesnt want random blood test but said they are cool with urine.
that only makes them look worse but they think people are stupid. dude is juicing, plain and simple.
defend him all you want but you are going to look dumb when the truth comes to light. through postive test, him admitting use, or his performance being so far off base people are going to see clear as day he was on performance enchancers started at Diaz through Cotto and potentially Clottey
see... this is the reason why it is pointless having these discussions with you.
You are already convinced Pac is juicing.
And with just one post you say I am DEFENDING Pac? You have some issues man.
If people accuse Floyd, JMM, Cotto of using illegal substance out of no PROOF or EVIDENCE... I will be at the same stand I am in now...UNLIKE YOU.
If there's a white dude saying "Floyd must be juicing because he's won world titles in 5 different divisions... that can't be coz he's black"
or if a white dude surpasses what Michael Jordan has done then a black dude said "White men can't jump...dude must be on something"
YOU CAN'T JUST DO THAT TO ANY ATHLETE duuuuude. They must be proven guilty before you brand them, you don't believe in skills. PEDs wont give you FOOTWORK, PEDs wont make you punch in ODD ANGLES, PEDs wont win you 4 lineals and 7 world titles in 7 weight divisions. IF THAT WAS SO EASY...MOSLEY WOULD HAVE DONE THAT, TONEY WOULD HAVE DONE THAT...AND VARGAS WOULD HAVE DONE THAT!
YOU CAN GIVE RICKY HATTON ALL THE PEDS IN THIS WORLD AND STILL IT WONT MAKE HIM A CLASS "A" FIGHTER LIKE FLOYD JR.
Both boxers are skillful and fast. Both got power.
Zab fought a lot of great oppositions at their prime than Khan.
At experience level I think Zab pretty much can handle Khan, it's all about Zab's readiness and attitude during training.
IMO, a focused/disciplined Zab can handle Khan without any problems.
There's no such thing as a "focused/disciplined" Za Judah. The guy was always overrated with handspeed and nothing else.
Judah has fought top competiton and always got his arse kicked against them.
No chin and no heart Judah would get beaten easily.
I just don't like saying the word I highlighted, reason I said a "focused/disciplined" Zab.
and I won't use the word "easily" in boxing either.
OMFG!
It's all about catching a veiwer's attention. The editor is a true artist, made the video simple but effective... using timing and superb transitions. Nicely done.
Yeah, he stunned Pac in the 10 and didn't follow up. It was an ok fight
same with JMM who stopped and just looked at Pac after he stunned Pac at the 3rd round of their second fight.
Maybe they are surprised in the ring to see their opponent get stunned.
A lot of fighters got instinct and easily follow-up after stunning their opponent, others get surprised that their punch landed flush and waits a bit to see if their opponent will fall to the canvass.
With my young daughter and whole country supporting me. With a chance to make a name for myself and prove everyone wrong.
YES!
I wouldve tried to take Pacs head off his shoulders.
It seems like it is so easy to say... have you ever been punched in the face or body by an ordinary non-boxing guy?
do you know how much it hurts to gey hit by a boxer?
Who do you think if matched with Clottey will make an even exciting match than Pac did against Clottey?
