I spoke to Alexander's manager. He said the report is bull****. He was never presented with the figures yet so he doesn't even know if the money is right, or wrong. He said "I never told that website that. They printed all of that on their own."
This is absolute bullsh*t. I spoke with both Frank Warren and K2. Both confirm the fight is going forward. Warren has an iron clad contract. Klitschko can only withdraw with an injury. If he withdraws with an injury, again, expect a lawsuit, and a well justified one, from Warren.
"boxingscene does that ALL the time, with no credit at all -- and the dude who runs their site talks smack about me ontop of it... if im so bad why copy and write out my stories?"
From his facebook
you gone take that Rick reeno?
The guy has my number and my email. If he had a problem about something, then he should have sacked up and called me about it. Instead he went on a ramble over a social network, which began with him accusing Dan Rafael of ESPN of stealing his article ideas.. The guy is delusional. I don't know how other people were raised, but when I have a problem with someone and I have a direct line to them, it doesn't take a lot of courage to pick up a phone and settle it.
There have been numerous incidents where people have lifted material from our site, and our videos. Nobody hears about it because I contact those people directly and settle the issue like professionals.
BTW, I'm 25-pounds lighter now, than when I did that video with him. I'm in tremendous shape right now.
We posted YESTERDAY the fight was being pushed for "April 9". The fight has been off the March card for days.

I don't recognize this NSB anymore. The red color is gross and sucks. No recognition of members by rep.
Each time they change it, it gets even worse. I was gonna quit the site because of trolls, but this new NSB makes it easier.
Cheers bros.
There are going to be a lot of tweaks as we move along. We're certainly taking all the feedback in.
That looks worse mate.
- the only solution is to do as email providers such as Yahoo, hotmail and Gmail do - they give you the choice between 'classic' and 'modern' format. That would be the democratic thing to do. Plus what happened to reputation?
Reputation was a change VB made, not us. They made the rep change based on likes.
Don't see any ads (of course), I think the design is clean (as someone who develops)...
My only feedback is that it's SLOW (at least on mobile, haven't checked computer yet) compared to the previous. Half a second before is now 3-4 seconds. That adds up.
Pretty fast on my phone. Maybe the cache needs to get caught up with a new site.
Half of the articles don't even work... 403 errors galore. The cut off titles are weird too and you can't mouse over the link to see the rest and doesn't show the rest of it in the thread either just kind of doesn't exist or pitters off into nothing.
It's also incredibly slow so far.
Not work where? Any examples
Horrible design the red text is hard on the eyes its a no no in designing websites .
10 threads, so much real estate wasted its like reading a book at a postage stamp view at a time.
Just upgraded to 20 threads
I heard from a good source that Pavlik-Hopkins did around 125-130K buys. Everyone, including HBO, was not banking on a big number. They knew the chances of the show doing a poor number was much higher than the show doing a high number.
Got a source for that?
I'm hearing either the fight's still on or The fight could be with Seth if Kimbo accepts.
I can't say but my source is involved with the promotion and is at the show. He told me about Ken's injury earlier but it was initially thought that he would still fight. He was cleared to fight from what I heard so I'm not exactly sure what happened to where he was pulled, unless he pulled himself or there was a second review and the athletic commission pulled him.
Seth is a great opponent for him.
Which means we'll see hide nor hair of this match
I've heard two stories. One that Kimbo has already excepted the fight and another that he wants more money because this guy is a bigger threat than Shamrock was.
Like I said in my minor preview for the Round by Round. Insiders hope his chin will hold up better than that of the other 2004 Olympic medal winner, Amir Khan.
His entire story is fabricated - other than the details he used from BoxingScene.com. If this guy knew anything, he would know that:
A. Hasim Rahman was WITH the Petersons in Las Vegas. Rahman is VERY close with the Petersons and the Mayweathers. Rahman is very close with Lamont's manager. He sent them to Mayweather's camp. Anthony Peterson was looking to spar because he had a fight scheduled that week, not Lamont. Mayweather wanted to spar both of them and started with Lamont.
B. Anthony Thompson spoke to Rahman, a neutral party, who backed up BoxingScene's version of the story. Thompson as you may or may not know, left Top Rank on very bad terms. The last thing he would do is hype up a Top Rank fighter.
C. I got a line to Rahman. He refused to comment because he is close with both fighters and doesn't want to get in the middle of their beef. He does say that it was very good, competitive sparring.
D. Top Rank refused to comment on the story, other than confirming the two of them sparred. What would they leak exactly? I had comments directly on the record from Peterson's manager and trainer, who was there.
This know-nothing conveniently leaves out how it was Mayweather's camp that leaked the story to Doug Fischer of Ring TV. If it wasn't for Doug's story, I would have never even heard about it and/or dig around for info on it. I'm very close with Doug so I know exactly who leaked it to him. I don't know what Top Rank would even tell me, since to my knowledge NONE of them were there.
I think the servers are doing very well compared to yesterday. Site was down for hours due to the weigh-in. It's been much better for most of the night so far. It may go down but not as long as it would have in other big fights, I hope.
That's easy. De La Hoya wanted the vast majority of the money involved for the rematch. Close to the same terms for the first fight. Floyd held his position in terms of what he wanted. He felt that he was a much bigger star when they were negotiating for the second time and he won the first fight. Putting that into consideration, Floyd has a legitimate beef over the money being offered.
De La Hoya was going to make more off the rematch than he did off the first fight and Mayweather was not going to allow a guy he already beat, dictate the financial terms. He stood to make 20 million but Oscar was going to make between 40 to 50 million. Unlike Pacquiao, Mayweather just walked away from the table and never looked back and I think that shows something.
Shane Mosley did the same thing. Oscar offered him peanuts many years ago for a trilogy fight. Mosley, because he beat Oscar twice, walked away and actually took the Winky Wright fight for far less money.
It's the principle of the whole thing.
I believe its official...jaw injury...
Any reports of a jaw injury is false. It's an eardrum injury. That comes from Golden Boy and Barrios' team. He is OUT, according to what I was told last Friday and the story was the same today.
I dont get it, Margo had all the buzz going into his fight and Cotto and Pavlik both were recovering from losses? It puzzles me.
Because HBO was willing to put up $4 million for Margarito-Mosley and took a pass on the Top Rank double. Showtime also passed on the Top Rank double. I heard the price tag for the Top Rank double was also $4 million. I can't blame either network for passing.
Top Rank had no choice, HBO and Showtime didn't pick the fights up and PPV was the only way for Arum to fulfill Pavlik's and Cotto's minimum purse requirements.
Pavlik and Cotto did not get their purse minimums. Given the circumstances of an independent pay-per-view, both took less. Pavlik was guaranteed a million and Cotto was around 1.5 I think .
Wrong buddy. 3mills is the less Arum can Pay Cotto, for any fight. it doesnt matter the opponent or if is on HB or PPV or whatever!!!!!!!!!!!!
He wasn't guaranteed $3 million and that is a fact. He may have been promised $3 million but the "guarantee" was half of that. He usually gets a guarantee of $3 million but not for something like this. The fight contracts are filed with the NYSAC and you could easily call to confirm.
I was told as of midnight EST that Top Rank and Golden Boy Promotions, despite the lawsuit, were still negotiating but they are quickly running out of time to make a deal for a "March" fight. Pacquiao would have to start training by next week for everything to go on schedule.
"First, lets go through what we know, and then an update in regards to whats going on over the weekend. Earlier in the week, Steve Kim of MaxBoxing confirmed the fight part has been signed, it's the Venue part that has yet to be final."
http://www.doghouseboxing.com/Benz/DHBenz1218e09.htm
Based on what Roach told me on Wednesday, and both promoters told me on Tuesday, the fighters have NOT signed the contracts. Both sides do expect the fight to get done. There is way too much money at stake for both fighters. They can't even come close with any other dance partners.
What does it matter, he could just fight in Nevada
No he can't. When you get suspended by a major athletic commission , most other commissions will honor the suspension. Nevada has already gone on the record about respecting any punishment handed down by the CSAC.
It's Ironic how Santos brings no money cause Williams doesn't either. What happened when Clottey wanted to fight William? :dunno: Williams and his people are bullshit liers Clottey wanted to fight him, Sergi wanted to fight him, you guys documented this. So Margarito made more money, doesn't the Champion always take the bigger cut of the pie? How many times has Margarito been short changed just to get the fight? Williams ain't doing nothing new and no one is avoiding him. 1.5 mil for Margarito but how about Paying Arum for borrowing his fighter whom Arum has a contract with?
Winky wanted to borrow Margarito the fighter and leave Arum out of the equation. Lol, Winky might as well have said, he don't want the fight.
Williams is the guy boxing is trying to bank on to live up to the hype, i don't know why so many people are trying to hype him up. Maybe cause he rolling on 24s, lol!
The facts are against. If you don't like Williams than just admit it. But you can't get away from the actual truth.
1. Margarito fought Williams without Arum involved and Arum got paid.
2. HBO turned down Williams-Santos and Williams-Sergie, already stated. Winky Wright was one of the few opponents HBO would approve for Williams. I think you need do some research because Williams' gets HBO some of their highest rating numbers for his fights.
3. Arum, on the record at least 1000000 times, said that he will NEVER do business with Al Haymon, Williams' co-manager. Arum uses that as his reason for turning down 4 million for a Williams-Margarito rematch. The letter that Arum sent to Goossen turning the offer down was printed live and clear on Yahoo Sports.
Arum won't do business with Haymon for Margarito but he will for Clottey?
What happened to that Margarito-Clottey rematch from last November? Canceled because Margarito wanted more time to relax, his own words, and then signed for Mosley while Clottey sits until 2009. Margarito-Mosley is about money, just like every other fight and the reason Clottey is sitting is because he brings no money to Margarito or Williams. Williams draws better than Mosley in Calif and he's not a Cali fighter.
