How many people are willing to stay in a hot ass gym all day, and dedicate their lives to making you a better fighter?
I'd be willing to bet most of the trainers OP mentioned have central heat/air.
Pac/May headliner.
Let's also get Provodnikov/Lucas and Rios/Maidana(wouldn't happen)
Bradley/Swift Garcia
and I honestly wouldn't know what to expect from Marquez/Thurman at this point, so throw that in too.
Recap:
Pac/May
Provodnikov/Matthysse
Rios/Maidana
Bradley/Garcia
Marquez/Thurman
Greatest boxing card in history, would pay $90 for HD.
Edit: Mares/Donaire in a catchweight affair.
The judge that had it for Shumenov is the same one that had it for Garcia in the Herrera fight. I'll just leave that here.
You're wrong. He had it closest to the truth at 114-114. The other 2 judges scored the fight 116-112 Garcia.
Sure today we have a super heavy weight crop of heavies, but the dedication, skill ans will seems to have vanished. size does not equal talent or skill level at all and makes you wonder if most are only at heavyweight due to laziness
Lazy fighters, and maybe **** trainers. I think the division has been stagnant for so long that few of these guys have the motivation to really push themselves. The greatest glory of the division in this day isn't very great. Just theorizing.
No it wouldn't- First off, Floyd is not perceived as the unbeatable superman that Tyson was.
People thought that if God himself came down to fight, Tyson would still knock him out in a couple of rounds. People today are not even sure if Floyd could beat Pacquiao.
There's no comparison really, Floyd is getting older and people are talking about his age. Tyson was in his absolute prime when he lost and no one, I repeat no one, saw it coming.
Except for Tim May, he saw it coming.
Sure is. She too was there when her man was bottom feeding. I won't even hate on his girl. I cannot count how many dudes I know holding on to some slim chick with decent breast just cause she's easy on the eyes, starving and begging me to cook for them cause their broad ain't good for nothing but nutting in.
Bika looks happy. He has a family and in the end, that's all that matteres. Imagine having a skinny model chick that's only good at ordering takeout's and storing cum shots.
This is a truly magnificent comment, my man.
A man just needs a woman who will love him, be faithful, and take care of him regardless of what kind of s**t they're going through. I guarantee you these dudes who stick with the ugly broads after making a little money are some happy sons of *****es. F**k sexy *****es who will drain your wallet and find someone else when you're out of house and home. Dudes like Bika, Guerrero, and Bradley have it made as far as I'm concerned.
(Actually, I'm not 100% sure about Bradley's wife)
I think it's safe to say that broner is not ready to headline a ppv...especially vs maidana. So who else within the golden boy camp can be matched to stack this card and make it worthy of a legitimate ppv card. For me it would be
Broner vs maidana
Trout vs Lara
Victor Ortiz vs Alfonso Gomez
Zab Judah vs someone
Omar Figueroa vs someone
Ortiz vs Thurman would be cooler(yeah, I know, not happening yet). Zab vs. Peterson.
But a lot of you defended the ref stoppage in Chisora vs. Malik Scott. What was the difference between what happened there and what happened when Barker got up at the count of 9 tonight?
A competent ref.
the gloves have a hole over the knuckles.
it's the dumbest thing i've ever seen.
Just saw that. **** reminds me of the XFL. I think it folds after a couple of shows.
George Foreman with the stamina and toughness of Evander Holyfield
So you'd keep all of Foreman's other attributes and just give him Holyfield's stamina and mental fortitude?
I like the basic idea of what you're saying, but I'd give him Toney's defensive skills and combine their chins.
Plenty of threads on this already buddy...
What can I say? Got bored a f**k. Was watching a fight, Transformers crossed my mind, put 2 and 2 together, and I got 4.
Foreman's chin is good enough his only weakness was stamina and sometimes was weak mentally. Not sure how he could have Toney's defensive abilities they have completely opposite styles.
His chin was grade A, but both chins combined would be unbreakable.
Yeah, I know their styles are almost complete opposites, I'm just saying Foreman with Toney defense would kick some major ass. Just for the sake of fun.
As I will be moving away to France next year, I was wondering if any of you guys know if I can get an online subscription on HBO, Sky sports or whatever to watch fights online.
Thanks.
PS : if the thread is inappropriate on this section, please let me know.
Not sure about Sky, but HBO and Showtime don't offer online subs.
Troll is 70% of the threads on this forum talking about everything but the Martial Art of Boxing inside the ring
Look, I appreciate what you do, I've enjoyed quite a bit of your work. I especially liked how you broke down the rope-a-dope, but there is no way in hell Canelo is the second most skilled fighter in the sport. He is merely pretty good. But I agree, the title of this thread isn't the worst I've seen, just not good at all.
Hard question to answer. Both have very little chance of upsetting May or Pac, but if I have to choose I'll go with Rios. I choose Rios because there's no denying Pacquiao has lost a step and by the time he gets in the ring with Rios he will have been out for nearly a year. Rios has solid enough chin to and a decent punch. If history is any indication there is a very good chance that not only will his confidence no longer be high, but his chin won't hold up as well as it has in the past. Either way, I don't see an upset in either fight.
