Rios is a face first brawler who is way too easy to hit. That to me gives him almost no chance against Pacquiao.
At least Canelo has youth and strength on his side.
Canelo. I don't think either would happen but I don't give Rios ANY chance of beating Pacquiao. He's too slow and not on Pac's level. Canelo on the other hand has a slim, and I mean very slim, chance of beating Floyd.
Canelo, the size factor and he still is unknown how he would do on a fight like this since he is so young and unproven. This might be his coming out party.
Even if Pac lost a step he will be better than 90% of the fighters out there and Rios simply gets hit too much
Canelo has much better chance people will be suprised since they are high on mayweather win versus Slowrero. RIos is gonna get smashed. i like rios too.
Canelo for sure. He's going to have a huge size advantage against Floyd. But then again, who knows how Manny will look with the VADA testing apparently taking place for the Rios fight.
People are saying Pacquiao lost a step when its really hes fighting much tougher competition. (ex. 1st ballot HOFer JMM vs Guerrero, imagine if Pacquiao fought Guerrerro - he wouldn't of raised his hand after the fight thinking he won like he did against floyd)
Canelo and Rios are about the same to me. Canelo is alittle more technical but he gases out while Rios can take a punch and keep throwing the whole 12 rounds
For months you were saying Floyd was going to duck Guerrero. Than you spent the entire lead up saying how Guerrero was going to give Floyd his toughest fight. Now the dudes a bum?
Canelo on the size factor alone. Rios has no chance against Manny, unless Manny is completely shot. I don't think Manny is, and I still think Manny will come back and fight well for another couple years. He was looking good in the Marquez fight, he just got caught with something he didn't see coming, a perfect right hand from Marquez.
Rios is a come forward, face first brawler, who knows how to do nothing else other than walk forward and punch. Manny will f**king obliterate Rios, unless he turns up shot over this layoff.
Canelo will be 20+ lbs heavier than Floyd on fight night, has a decent skill set, and has power. I don't think Canelo will win, but he's a lot better than Rios, so he has to have a better shot.

Tougher competition? Really? He hasn't fought a legit WW in years. In fact his last 4 fights, including Rios, his opponents have a combined 0 wins at WW going into the fight. I know you hate Floyd and all but man can you at least pretend to be objective.
In terms of styles, Canelo has the bigger chance of pulling the upset. He's young, strong, relentless, can punch hard and Floyd is getting older. I still expect Floyd to win quite comfortably though. Rios' style is absolutely made to order for Pacquaio.
In terms of intangibles, Rios has a bigger chance because we don't know how Pacquiao is going to be after the KO loss to Marquez and a year out of the ring. We know Floyd is still as sharp as ever.
rios.......mainly because we don't know how much of pac is left after that devastating KO and the fact that pac has taken his longest layoff in his career..he could be shot as hell now with a cracked chin and completely gun shy for all we know...
floyd still looked to be in good shape and in his prime when he fought guerrero..but then again it was guerrero who isn't really a top/elite fighter to begin with..
and canelo is completely hyped up and hasn't even proven himself to be the best at 154 despite having the bogus ring belt and being dick sucked by ring magazine...
Rios because we have no idea how Pacquiao will look after such a severe KO.
We could very well be in for a one sided affair or worse. Even if Pacquiao retains some of his old self the threat of the KO will be looming all night.
The only knock Mayweather has is that he's getting old. With Canelo coming down in weight, not being anywhere near experienced enough at that level and only a few months removed from Mayweather clearly demonstrating he's still got it. I see very little reason to believe Canelo will pull it off.
I'd probably have to go with Rios based off Mannys inactivity and the Marquez K.O plus I feel he has lost a step.
I feel both Floyd & Manny should dominate here against two guys with styles absolutely made for them but if I had to pick I'd say Rios had the better chance of pulling it off.
100% what I was going to say. good post :fing02:
