Why the **** are you making such a stupid thread, for what.. to prove Pac is better than him? dude I give you no respect for disrespecting a guy who's only loss on his resume is from someone who needs bricks in his gloves to win. You fail on the topic dickhead. :lame:
On Kessler's resumée you forgot Manny Siaca and Eric Lucas. Both SMW champions.
Yeah well I also left out a few from Joe's resume aswell, just lined up the guys that's worth to mention in my opinion. ;)
Floyd got haters, cause he acts like a fukkin child before and after every damn fight, so I really don't see anything weird in people's reaction over him. He's a good fighter though and earned his title as P4P at the time, but surely not the greatest ever as he claimed he was.. also his image would've done better if he kept the Ali wannabe thrash talk away from the cameras more often, and didn't retire his ass to avoid fighters like Mosley and Cotto etc. I don't give a shit about ego as long it's done properly, but in his case it's just getting painful annoying to look at.
Stay on topic guys, the thread is not about WHAT Kessler achieved so far, but IF he achieve it.. the way I see it, he will surpass Calzaghe by an inch - IF he pulls this off :
Joe Calzaghe - Notable fights :
Chris Eubank
Jeff Lacy
Sakio Bika
Mikkel Kessler
Bernard Hopkins
Roy Jones Jr.
Mikkel Kessler - Notable fights :
Anthony Mundine
Markus Beyer
Librado Andrade
Joe Calzaghe (Loss)
Arthur Abraham
Carl Froch
Andre Ward
Jermain Taylor
Andre Dirrell
If he kick Bute and Bika's ass in the meantime, there's nothing left for him to prove in SMW tbh. :)
I feel sorry for these careless mf'ers who put winning first and more important than the life of your opponent. Cotto's face was battered exactly the same way as Milller was in this clip, and only concrete in your gloves could make such a mess tbh. Margarito and the Resto crew fukkin disgust me and these idiots should never be allowed in boxing again, in fact they should get the same treatment as attempted murderers do.
He ain't overrated or underrated. He's a dude who got some skills but refuses to fight anybody past the Joe C fight, at least til this tourney.
Whom did he refuse to fight after Calzaghe? Enlighten me.. Miranda was in works yes, don't remember why it didn't happen - but I reckon the two other fights Sartison and Haussler was mandatory for the WBA belt.. and the past inactive year has been due to promotor problems etc. It's not like he didn't try to get the big fights after, he was in USA to get Hopkins but he turned down 5 million, and no one else wanted him at that time, so I don't see what else he could do.
Typical ignorant fukks who jumps on the bandwagon. JT's only problem is stamina, the rest is 2x times better than what Abraham ever will be @ 168, true story.
JT has better skills than 98% of the fighters in the game.
Yet he loses three times to two different guys he's way better than.
Not too mention he stunk it up since hopkins (winky, spinks, etc.).
I'm never again picking Taylor to win a fight. Logic says, yep he has the skills to win, he is superior, yet some how, some way taylor manages to throw all that shit out the window along with logic.
I agree on the most part, but it doesn't mean I will never pick him again to win a fight, that's a bit harsh. I mean if Jermain "Bad Luck" Taylor lasted 10 more seconds against Froch and got the UD, I bet you'd have a different opinion of him? Fact is he never got beaten convincely, neither by Pavlik or Froch.
Let's not forget what Hopkins did to Pavlik after everyone thought he was shot.:bounce:
I'd love to see JT upset this one too.. I mean 2 of his losses he knocked his opponent down and could've easily ended it, but he ran out of gas, also Pavlik II was a draw on my cards tbh could have gone either way. So if he can keep up the pace for 12 rounds this time and fight AA with a solid gameplan, a JT comeback isn't impossible.
Take a look at Kessler's face in 41 bout's, not a single fkn scratch.. only time i seen kessler gettin' seriously hit was in the Calzaghe fight - most fighter's with his record looks like they we're run over by a steam roller, you can't even tell he's a boxer by looking at this guy.. that among other things shows what a skilled fighter he really is and he fought decent guys, was reign WBA/WBC champ untill he met Calzaghe who's unbeaten to this date and no shame in losing to that the way he did it..

Watch the andrade fight, and adapt this style to a Taylor fight.. honestly yes, Taylor would get KTFO.
BoxingScene reports that Kessler's next title defense might be against Gusmyl Perdomo (15-2, 9 KO's).
Perdomo lost a decision to Dimitri Sartison who was dominated by Kessler in most of the rounds and stopped in the 12th.
Does anyone else think Kessler is wasting his career?
This is a joke of a fight in my opinion.
No chance in hell Kessler would take a fight like this if it isn't mandatory, i just heard from a danish news source his promoter confirms they're waiting for the outcome of calzaghe vs. jones fight, if calzaghe wins he would go for him, but no chance in hell calzaghe would fight him, so that leaves him with B-Hop which i dont think would happen either, and if jones wins he would go straight after B-hop and vice versa... that leaves Kessler back with the only realistic option he has at this point is to fight the winner of the IBF-title between Larsen vs Bute, or the winner of Taylor/Lacy fight. Froch is also an option imo.
The best thing that happened for smw and boxing in years. Good thing Kessler has his promotor issues fixed now, can't wait for him to beat the living crap out of these guys, and shut up the critics once and for all.
Just watched the fight, those body shots from Kessler was vicious. Kessler is more fast and technical than Froch and I could easily see Froch coming forward with a flurry attack of punches, then Kessler move aside with his speed and land a kidney shot or a body shot like that. If Kessler keeps fighting and keeps himself busy with no lay offs like he used to in the past, he could be crowned the new king of the SMW div.
good fighters get rememberd, GREAT fighters are never forgotten. in 5 years calzaghe will be forgotton
In 5 years from now Mikkel Kessler is ATG or HOF, if he pick up the right fights and get a promotor who doesnt pick bums to fight him, then Calzaghe surely will be remembered as the 1 notable loss on his resume.
