He does not deserve it ? the guy REFUSES to fight the best fighters in his division. Its like i always say...............If Mayweather was fighting the best competition out there he would not get hated, its that simple. To be fair he'd still get hated on because of his style Also it started off with Floyd avoiding Margarito, Mosley and Cotto to people lying and bringing up names like Tszyu, Pacquiao ( Yes i've genuinely heard that ) and Morales ( Bizarre ) It all hinges on Cotto and Mosley

People actually did believe Baldomir would give Floyd trouble. Big strong natural welter...wudda made Floyd fight lol I don't know about the Winky fight at 154...I know there was talk...I think Floyd wanted most of the $ and Winky wasn't havin it And you are probably one of the few who would wanna see PBF-Spinks A Floyd-Shane fight would be nice to see(although past prime Shane) but don't put all the blame on Floyd for it not happening. Spinks and Forrest wudda been interesting matchups but they don't bring in the $ that Mayweather-Hatton/Gatti would...and you know Floyd's about that buck...Spinks has done little outside of beatin Zab and Mayorga Manny Steward picked Badly to win. He also picked Gatti(rip) and Mitchell to either beat Floyd or give him hell. Thats the thing people like to rewrite history. Manny also said at that time that his Boy Cintron would give Floyd hell. If Floyd went up to 154 and fought Spinks he'd be accused of ducking Baldomir and Margarito. The fight was being discussed for the date he fought Baldomir...bottom line is people thought the fight would suck so it never happened Mayweather's an HBO fighter and they were hyping the shit outta Baldomir...they probably would have said hell no to a Spinks fight(who is under Showtime) At the end of the day the odds on a spinks fight would have been tighter than Baldy and probably marg as well. I think its fair to say Spinks has a bigger name than Baldomir no matter how you slice it. Id have liked to see floyd fight these fighters where there would actually be some suspense in the ring. Its all about high reward & low risk and he takes it to the extreme. For that he's open to criticism and it aint going nowhere. If he was so great and fought all the best etc etc im sure his latest comeback would garner more attention than it has.

I have no problems with Floyd as a fighter, he has talent and is THE best BOXER right now. P4P? I'll never say yes until he at least faces people in his division that are ranked at least in the top 5. Then again, I wouldn't have any problem with him saying that he only fights for the money because it would be true. Instead, he says he's the best and he's unbeatable and that's where I have a problem. In order to be the best, you have to beat the best and in no way shape or form has he fought enough quality opposition to say that. To make it worse fans say he goes for the big money only, and again I have no problem with that if that is what he openly admits. If that's the reason he took Baldomir or Gatti over Mosley, or, whoever else put some money on the table, that's fine. But don't ever bring up Mosley into saying he ducked Floyd because he did for the exact same reason. The problem now for Floyd is that since he took all the big money fights already, he now had to take time off and allowed Cotto, Paq, Mosley and Williams to make a huge name for themselves and now there are no more big money "safe" fights for Floyd. By doing so it cost him two years and now his "safe" fight isn't selling because no one thinks that the "smaller man" will kick Floyds ass. Which is exactly the reason Floyd gets buys... people only buy the fight to see him get his ass kicked proving that there are far more haters of Floyd than fans. Until he mans up and fights the best in HIS OWN division then he'll have a reason to call himself the best P4P and maybe get some fans.

It's hard to like Floyd when he claims all this utter crap about his legacy without ever once living up to it. Ever since he left lightweight his career has consisted of fake or over the hill opponents. He claimed to be the best at 140 after beating over the hill Arturo Gatti. He claimed to be the best welterweight after beating Carlos freaking Baldomir. He claims to be the biggest draw in boxing despite his two big PPV matches being against Oscar, the greatest draw ever, and Hatton, who clearly brought most the PPV buys to the table. Then he can't sell a bull match against JMM. I don't hate Floyd personally, but I can see some of the reasons others do. The guy needs to shut up and start fighting the best.

Floyd got haters, cause he acts like a fukkin child before and after every damn fight, so I really don't see anything weird in people's reaction over him. I'd love for you to name me another fighter with 1/10 the contradictions of Floyds. When your on top your already open for critisim that's fair enough, but if you think the criticism isn't warranted and the contradictions arent overwhelming then your a hugger & thats cool. Floyd is not immune from criticism in the slightest and i'd defy you to find a post where i (or any half-credible poster on here for that matter) has alluded to that I think your criticism is virtually soley based on the soundbites of a professional sportsman and that's ridiculous and makes you a "hater" on the same note

I saw that beyond the glory also. The fact is he picked himself up after that and worked back up to the top and fought the best in doing so. He took challenges and risks. The documentary fails to touch on the cultural difference in panama vs. usa. Quiting isn't looked at the same by us here as it does in mexico or other parts of the world. I love G-man but lets be honest he was on the cusp of becoming big, not quite there. Not to mention that fight was in the UK with Benn so that makes a bit of a difference also. even so but if a person personal helped you even if he quite you have to be side by side. not if he goes down we dont care about him. It is easy to love when a person in on a winning streak rich and powerful. But it hard to love him when he is down and that is the time when he need most cheering. I dont know Duran personally but many of the people who invited him knew him personally which is a differen sitaution. As fot he G-Man is doesnt matter he still half dead today and really having it bad. He is the type of fighter who was paid peanuts by Don King and he fought anyone anywhere type. It not only Benn but it was also Julian Jackson and other strong punchers he meet during his career effected him alot. Those fights also effect you mentally

I remeber seening Duran's Beyond Glory. when he lost against SRL 2nd time and quite nobody was there with him, omly his family, and people even called him a coward, the same people where he helped them finically.
