whats wrong with these blokes??? watching movies??? hahahahah Carl, go get some balls first then compete with someone like AA, who has a lion's heart...
I already heaaar excuses from Froch....
Dickhead.
In these days of fighters avoiding each other and dropping out, making a joke out of the Super 6, Froch ducks NO ONE and brings the fight every time.
He may lose, but at least he takes the fukkin fights, so give him some respect.
And the pressure fighter that hits harder than Maidana is ............
Going into last nights fight, everyone knew certain things. They knew Maidana can bang harder than anyone else @140, they knew Khan was very fast and had talent.
What they didn't know was can Khan take Maidanas punches? Many people doubted it, but he did.
So the question remains the first line of this post.....
i agree...i am still baffled at how many people are picking khan over paulie. theyre treating this fight like its mayweather vs matthew hatton or something....
khan is just a hypejob at this point of his career. paulie is atleast proven against top fighters and prove he can compete with them.. i would love nothing more than to see khan KTFO paulie brutally and quickly, but lets be real, he is NOT going to...
how can you honestly predict khan to win over a prime paulie?
You're making Paulie out to be some unhittable boxing master - he was embarrassingly outboxed by Hatton and is going to get beaten up by Khan. Khan's chin isn't good, but if Kotelnik couldn't hurt him with flush shots then Paulie's got no chance of putting him down.
Khan's speed + movement + workrate = Paulie's losing.
Good to see some love for the Prince, and some knowledgable posts instead of usual 'Eurobum' crap that some idiots come out with.
All todays FW get knocked silly by him, you don't have to have a suspect chin for Naz to KO you. Plenty of fighters he put to sleep had never been stopped or put down, but once they tasted the power they decided it was time to nap.
Williams would school Froch even worse then Dirrell schooled Froch
Worst post ever....Williams takes a lot more punches than Dirrell and would get knocked silly by Froch, who has a much bigger frame and is much stronger.
The main tool Williams has is workrate, and Froch will walk through those pitty pats and club him to death, caveman style.
See Wlad is a real champ, david didnt deserve 50% but he got it anyways because Wlad knows hes the best. He's going to school the monkey.
You can tell who has class and who doesnt just by hearing them talk. Wlad is well spoken and has a high IQ. David Haye has enough IQ not to be considered a derp.
No, Haye gets 50% because he brings at least 50% of the money the fight will generate. It's as simple as that.
Wlad knows he's far better than the chumps he KO's but they don't get anywhere near 50% because they bring sh*t all to the table.
I'm looking forward to this, I just hope there are plenty of fireworks and not a garbage, tentative points win for anybody.
Although I agree Floyd has cherry picked his opponents lately, name me a fight where Floyd won't be a decent favorite. This analysts point is dumb, Floyd Mayweather 100% believes he will beat every boxer out there.
He's not 100% he'd beat Pac at this moment in time though is he, or the fight would have been made.
Hattons mauls the f*ck out of Garcia, and he quite possibly quits in the later rounds.
Why are people comparing Khan to Hatton, Hatton was put down ONCE in 43 fights before Floyd and Pac, and it wasn't as if he didn't get hit very often. He was strong, fast and durable. Danny would have sh1t himself in there.
I really don't know what fight the commentators were watching??I really believe the UK does not like Froch..He does not fit what they believe a star should be or something..I mean Froch would land, they would say nothing..Groves lands they go wild..Reminded me of Bradley Pac all over again..Which is odd I usually love the commentators from across the pond..
We (not all of us, but the population in general) love a hard luck story in the UK. Most would rather have a gallant loser to cheer than an actual winner.
What happened was the best thing for Groves' career, he would very likely have lost the fight but instead he's seen as a martyr that was robbed of certain victory by a bad decision. He'll make more money now than if Froch had completed that 9th round beat down and stopped him.
Groves has cracked that chin
Now its just a CHINA CHIN
Froch better retire.
His chin is definitely cracked, now explain why he took at least 20 more flush right hands, including at least 6 in a row in the 6th round, and didn't go down again?
Now that was a really quick hook, but I think Groves was definitely on the down slide in that fight he was in for a lot of punishment going forward.
Who knows maybe he could have pulled it out of the fire, but I don't think that is where the big part of the probabilities were because that is more Froch's game he can get out boxed (as shown on multiple occasions) but he normally finishes better than he starts
Exactly, Groves dominated the first half of the fight but let's be honest, he was gassed in that round and a gassed fighter to Froch is like a big f*cking steak to a hungry lion. He was going to get eaten.
I had money on Groves btw so didn't want it stopped.
Yep!!!!!!!
The Nottingham crowd booing at Froch and unanimously cheering Groves sums up the story of the fight pretty well... :spank:
They're in Manchester
Was a bit of a soft stoppage, but to be honest I can't see how Groves was going to survive it anyway. He was getting hit with everything and there was still ages left in the round. Might be a mistake by the ref, but all it changed is that Groves didn't take another minute of punishment.
The score and the fact it's a world title fight doesn't make any difference, the ref has to protect the fighters regardless of the circumstances. If he thinks it's dangerous then that's it.
Exactly, maybe it was a bit premature but Groves was turning his back on Froch and to me that's not defending yourself.
Why is everyone hating on Froch, he got knocked silly in round 1 and yet again proved he's a warrior and delivered an immensely entertaining fight. He didn't stop the fight, the ref did.
I'm not even a groves fan until after this fight so calm down son.
You just make the most retarded posts ever and just to clarify my 2nd post wasn't aimed at you which validates my point of you being a retard.
Because I have two eyes and can see a robbery it makes me a fanboy....ok buddy. Go **** yourself.
I knew groves was going to win so i backed him with money on skybet, I'm annoyed as a fan & a gambler because I have been robbed in broad daylight.
He was nowhere near getting stopped, free punches etc etc etc......you don't know what would of happened. Froch was in a worse position and got to continue. The only thing groves looked to me was tired, he was lucid and able to defend himself and never looked in trouble. The tide was turning but if you don't have a chance to weather the storm might aswell hang up your gloves before you get in the ring. The announcers said the same thing, all twitter and facebook are clogged up with the same opinion. Guess we're all fanboys though.
You and your logic stink of idiocy & that is the reason I'm wasting another second on you ....
Yet you are claiming robbery despite not knowing what would have happened either?
Please explain who was robbed, and of what. Groves was around 4 points up and just about to lose an almost certain 10-8 round even if he wasn't stopped. There were still 3 rounds after that and he was fading while Froch was starting to walk through him, he wasn't even clinching anymore.
The way I see it Groves was only robbed of the chance to carry on, not of the actual fight. Froch was robbed of the chance to finish him properly and the public were robbed of a satisfactory end to the fight.
Nobody is happy about how the fight ended but in no way was Groves robbed of a clear win.
For what it's worth I put money on Groves too.
I am on the fence on this one....I started out thinking that Haye would make Haye out of the big travellor. Then I got to thinking. First off Haye is a lot smaller than Fury, the burden is on Haye because he has to physically find a way to get off and KO Fury. Now think about what that means: Tyson Fury can go down multiple times, as long as he gets up. Fury is a strange bird that way, he seems to be one of those guys that can get up from it. And lets remember that no matter the smaller man has to generate the KO punch.
So all Fury has to do is survive into the later rounds. At that point Haye will feel Fury's size, he will not be as fast, fresh and Tyson could chase him around and beat him down.
Fury might have the will to survive and then the bigger man will win the fight. no way Haye Ko's Fury in the later rounds imo.
Psychologicaly one guy has to produce a KO within a time frame and the other guy just has to be aggressive. Its a tough one to call
Very few heavy weights could really assure a KO under these conditions...Tyson could in his prime. Hence when he fought Holmes and Holmes had him thinking, it was all just a matter of time before a KO punch came, but Haye is no MIke Tyson...
All Fury has to do is survive....easy when you say it like that, not so easy when you've got a **** chin and Haye is pounding on it.
And Haye is no Tyson, but he's closer to Tyson than Fury is to Holmes! Fury is funny and good for the sport, but he's only ranked because the heavyweight scene is so dire.
His punch resistance isn't great and he isn't very quick, against Haye that spells trouble.
GGG is a come forward boxer, and they were meat and drink to Froch. The fight would either go the same way as the Bute fight, or if GGG's chin really is granite then Froch would win an entertaining UD.
It's 80/20 split of the profits for Brook/Hearn, not 80/20 Brook/GGG.
As Hearn kept saying, 'it's your show' - how much Brook earns will depend on how much profit the night makes. Obviously it's a huge fight with guaranteed profit - Hearn will have costed different models for PPV buys etc, and Brook will know roughly the absolute minimum he is likely to make. It's not a set fee with a cut of PPV (which is what GGG will be getting) - it's 80% of the total profit the event makes. Hearn gets the other 20%.
4 mins in i turned the interview off
Firstly Chaves signed up to face Brook....Brook pulled out
Lemont Peterson was willing to come and fight Brook, Hearn confirmed this in a previous interview
Spence's team called Hearn and said they will take the Brook fight in the UK....Hearn told them he is negotiating with Vargas...and used Vargas an an excuse to not want to make the Spence fight happen
Berto was willing to come to the UK, Hearn mentioned this in a interview
So this MYTH that nobody wants to face Brook is just that a MYTH
Berto, Petterson, Chaves Spence are more credible than Jo Jo Dan, Frankie Gavin and Kevin Bizier
Its just Eddie Hearn is scared to throw Brook in the ring with boxers who have nothing to lose.....He has stated on numerous occasions that he has made "NO MONEY FROM BROOK"....So now he is cashing Brook out against GGG.
I am not saying Brook is scared, but Hearn has no faith in Brooks abilities...Hearn wants to get paid first before he takes a risk with his investment....As a promoter/friend he should have advised Brook not to take this fight.
You should have listened to the whole interview and learned a thing or two. Instead you call Hearn a liar without even watching it. You don't like him, we get it, but I've never seen a promoter be so open about the details and financials - I found the whole interview fascinating.
Hearn is clearly telling the truth, he even gives the numbers that he offered Vargas, Broner and Garcia to come and fight Brook.
Just because someone says 'I'll fight so-and-so' doesn't mean that fight can get made. If it's so easy why don't you become a promoter and make all these easy top fights.
I'll tell you what will happen. At least 50% of people on here will say it's proof that GGG was overrated all along and he lost against the first really good fighter he faced. The fact that fighter was a welterweight proves even more that GGG wasn't ever anything special.
Anything basically to avoid giving a fighter his due credit.
Meanwhile, back in the real world Brook immediately goes top 3 P4P.
