Agreed.The most exciting HW of all time in my opinion.Despite not reaching his full potential Tyson in his day would trouble and/or beat the majority of heavyweights in history including all the greats! It's crazy how ppl try to disrespect him when he achieved all he did despite his circumstances.The man's not perfect but who is?
Even though I'm not really a skeptic (I think FMJ is OOTBE one of the best ever defensively) I don't rate his toughness. This was not really a dog fight at all compared to some and I wasn't impressesed with how he handled a very average cut ( complaining he couldn't see for 2 rounds ) and excessive holding ( including ropes ). Compared to Marciano's split nose,Gatti v Ward and countless others his toughness is not that impressive although his skills are.

I never support fighters purely because of race. This is something I don't really understand with some people on this forum. Obviously Broner overdoes the **** talking for promotion but the loud mouth, flashy type has never appealed to me. I have always been more of a fan of the warrior type regardless of race. This is why I'm more of a Pacman fan than a Money fan though I appreciate both. He is relying on his mouth to sell fights instead of his actions unlike Iron Mike, Joe Louis, Joe Frazier, Marciano etc ( quiet killers ) Basically what I'm saying is I like a fighter for his/her personality as opposed to race.

Any Mike Tyson fight that went the distance, Mike was pretty boring if he couldn't take you out early, he was a spurt fighter who lost interest as the fight went on, he lacked the heart and will to overcome adversity in the ring and would give up if he couldn't intimidate you early. I have never seen Tyson with heart in the later rounds, Evander Holyfield is a guy with a large heart and bravery to win, Tyson would basically quit and just go through the motions if the fight went past 5.
Watch the Tyson versus Tucker fight man that was boring lots of grappling and it was sloppy. same with his fight with Mitch Green, lots of grabbing and not much ferocity from Tyson, he would allow the clinching and initiate it. Tucker was running and moving all night and Tyson couldn't cut off the ring he was just following him down and stalk him, while getting held in a clinch.

Come on ....you cant logically defend the man despite his phenomenal skills. Pacquiao is a pure warrior with a huge heart. Mayweather a professional fighter with a business heart/head. NO comparison. Boxing is about WARRIORS. Its designed to find the Warriors amongst average fighting men. Mayweather has good business sense if he thinks he'll be hurt, but money is the Goal but NOT the Essence of the sport.
Mentality and impact. The prior 3 all had something special. Holmes was a well rounded monster technician though not generally loved by the public.Joe louis a quiet,sound and iconic destroyer.And Tyson the youngest,most explosive, and exciting heavyweight of all time. Wlad is a good heavyweight but his lack of risk/action takes away from his appeal.

While I will always believe that you have to give a guy a chance, no way in hell does Vargas knock Bradley out. Now Vargas is parading around pretending like he was about to knock out Bradley when we all know you basically have to shoot Bradley to get him out of there, he simply has too much heart.
