stop spreading lies floyd never ducked him//and stop talking about a sparring session..and paul didnt even beat his ass in sparring
haters think of anything to talk shit about..
It's ok, Floyd did get beat up in that session. watch the whole tape. Floyd wasn't in training at the time.
If the fight goes past the 6th round, its all for Jones. I can't see how people think Tyson could keep his composure against Jones for 6-12 rounds. Tyson would absolutely pmmel him, and it would be inside 5 rounds. Other than that, it would look like a bull chasing the matador.
it was, i was getting sleepy. I had a hard time scoring the fight. I forced myself somehow to stay awake. The stoppage was the highlight of the night
I fell asleep in the 4th round......that was a very boring fight.
Briggs-Ibragimov
Klitschko-Ibragimov
Holyfield-Ibragimov
Hatton-Tszyu, Lazcano, Urango, a lot of others........way too much messy holding and sloppy shots
He has a lot to do with it......I ask every fight....why is he the only one in the corner?? Who exactly is Assistant Trainer? The guy must like the spotlight. Another thing, from what I hear he puts TREMENDOUS pressure on the fighters to get out to early leads. After that doesn't happen they don't know what to do and it gets worse.
The scoring though has much more to do with it. I blame scoring for the losses of Williams, Warren, Andrade, even Sadam Ali. And its a perfect example with Ali.
The Olympic scoring has instilled into a lot of fighters minds that they have to fight a certain way, like throw straight right hands, in order to get points and win....So they forget about the rest of the game. I felt Sadam scored a lot of points that werent scored in that first round, yeah he lost the fight but it wouldve been much different if he didnt have to walk into shots like he was.
It would be a much different Olympics if it were regular Amateur scoring....and a more exciting one.
I was going to attend this one myself, but the tickets are unforgivably high priced. I will have to go with Sopcast ONE MO' TIME!
Only problem is that everyone will probably be using it and it will refresh every 3 seconds.
LOL me too. They sent me an email with the code for the presale. But the lowest price ticket is 150.......thats just BS for a meaningless lopsided matchup like that. Ill sopcast it.
If you're a fan of Mayweather, or any boxer that has a boxing style. Then how can you not watch the Olympics? In this Olympics they don't run as much as they used to.
Are you serious? Watch when a Cuban or European gets a 2 point lead.
With the old scoring you can get those fast combinations and lots of jabs which is exciting to watch.
JIM I GOTTA TELL YA, JOHN MCCAIN USED HIS SIDESTEPPING VERY EFFICIENTLY FOR ALMOST EVERY ISSUE. Though of course, you gotta score it for Barack Obama based on clean effective punching! 117, 111, BARACK OBAMA! JIM!
thought he was consistently throwing more and was marginally the more energetic of the fighters in the middle rounds
also the commentators kept critcising Mosley so I may have been influenced
Look at your scoring of Mayweather-Hatton. Case closed.
I think it was a variety of things. It wasn't realy age. I feel it was the mix of fighting at 154, even more so against a guy that outweighed him by 10 pounds. That's a LOT, its hard to make a heavier guy respect you.
It was almost a year since he's been off. That had a lot to do with it
Mayorga wasn't good, but he was awkward in the sense that its hard to predict somebody like that. Its like sparring with a less experienced guy at the gym, they come out fresh and wild, so your not used to that. Plus Mosley wasn't using his left hook going back as much as I would have liked him to.
I kind of have a bad feeling about this fight. Mosley very well could've turned old overngiht, we don't know. The key to this fight is definitely the jab. If Mosley uses it effectively, Mayorga will have absolutely no chance. But if he isnt effective with it, Im not too sure.
I knew it.
I thought I knew boxing until I saw the truth being dropped in that chat on the right hand side of the screen.
Here's a quick run down of what I've learned so far tonight.......
Pavlik is the best pound for pound.
Cotto has more talent than 99% of all boxers.
Andy Kolle was a "durable" Middleweight.
Pacquiao should fight Mayorga.
Mayorga has a solid chance against Mayweather.
Floyd retired because of Cotto.
Mayorga can beat Margarito at 147lbs.
Calzaghe's resume shits all over Hopkins'.
Those were only the ones I noticed when I glanced over, I can only imagine the shit that slipped past me.
Did you learn anything?
Its all fun and games lol
My name is Supah Buddha.
I think its pretty telling with Mosleys knockout of Mayorga with 5 seconds on the clock, that Chavez could have killed Taylor with one more damaging blow.
No, Mosley was standing right there, the ref didnt force him to go to the neutral corner. If he did, that KO would never have hapened.

Tonight is a great night for boxing. These kind of schedulings will save boxing. You have Chris Rock with a new special, right before 2 very good matchups. The casuals watching from Chris Rock will see that. It's not like they played a usual movie and then boxing. And you got Shane Mosley!
When you got a guy coming at you over and over, you tend to start pushing with you punches, and then you get tired moreso. Add to that, Margarito is pretty tall. If you watch the Pavlike Taylor fight it was the same thing.
