At the end of the day, blame lies everywhere. As a fan of the sport I love I no longer care who wins or who loses, I just want this fight to happen.
Ur right! If Floyd wins and is king of the world on David Letterman and such, then his head will only get bigger. Then let him be king. I just want to see it. :headbang:
If Cotto/Canelo fight anyone other than eachother, and Floyd doesn't fight either Pac or Khan, I kid you not.....I will cancel my HBO and Showtime subscriptions and just give up on boxing. This is getting pathetic already. I'd rather watch Tennis where the best actually take on the best!
Cool avatar it was Tyson that got me into boxing and now this buffoonery is turning me away as well. I question this source however.
I see now this is an old thread nearly exactly 3 years old. Of course because 4 already happened. Then Pac came out afterward and said his cut is fine and Arum started talking about an outdoor stadium. :pat: :sucks:
As a fan of Pac's I scored them all three draws. I don't see he ever beat JMM convincingly and I had to give him 3 of the last 4 rounds in the third to arrive at a draw. I could also see splitting them 2-2, as some probably have, in which case I would have the third fight 115-113 JMM. That said, I also think JMM ducked the fifth fight. I was fine with that though b/c I preferred fresh matchups for both.
(Also I'm aware it's technically impossible to score the second a draw w/o even rounds due to the knockdown, but it was that close to warrant a draw IMO.)

Doesn't mean he'll beat him again. This is boxing. I'm not saying cotto wins hands down but what is certain is that we are not dealing with the same cotto.
We don't know if he looked that good or Martinez in his last fight with one good leg, was that bad. I would be more inclined to agree with this statement if he beats Red though.
Honestly... here's what I gather from this...
Paulie strongly believes Shawn Porter was on steroids when he beat him up badly... just look at some interviews... Malignaggi insinuates that Porter was on steroids.
Now... that loss I believe gave Paulie brain damage (to whatever degree it is)... simply observe his speech afterward... it's noticeably slower.
So all in all, I believe Paulie is totally, totally against steroid-using boxers; hence his beef with Manny.
Except for I'm sure he accused Manny long before that bout. It is rather that he has a habit of making accusations vs other boxers.
It's a more prestigious position that Cotto holds. P4P they are probably about the same (Cotto and Khan). If Cotto is higher I think it is a bit deceptive because Martinez looked like he should have retired one bout earlier. I would rather see something new, say Khan followed by the winner of Cotto vs Canelo in Sept, as the backup plan.:usa2:
Floyd could be the first to hold three boxing titles and also get called a coward everywhere he goes. Even the kid who delivers his pizza to him will smirk at him.
Yeah the truth is I was somewhat playing devil's advocate but now I see the poll indicates who you think would win is a different question than may be interpreted from the title.
Mayweather is fked in the head, and I think the money has only served to give him a distorted sense of reality.
Do we get to play Floyd's shrink today? haha!
The money and the adulation of being a boxing great. He might not respond well to getting old and being out of the limelight but hopefully it brings him back down to earth. Or his story might not end well as hinted at in that article.
Khan wouldn't be able to compete at MW. He wouldn't have any speed or power.
It's the same weight he got outboxed by Austin Trout at the end of 2012 who was then upstaged by Lara. I like prime Cotto but it's 2015 and Cotto's been in a lot of wars. It's a perfectly reasonable poll question IMO. In fact I didn't vote because see it as a tossup at 154.
When Cotto snuffed Martinez to the temple, Martinez stood up, and shook his head in an attempt to clear the cobwebs. He did not clutch his knee, he tried desperately to clear his head. You haters can try and detract from Cotto's win by pretending to believe, Martinez was not moving around exactly as he has in previous fights. Bouncing like Ali until he got CLIPPED. Ask any fighter who has been clipped like that before and they will tell you, sometimes you just can't recover like you want to.
"He caught me cold and I never could recover..." ~Sergio Martinez

It's not that simple though because Martinez kept putting off fighting Golovkin. He really deserved that shot that Cotto got. The question is who is the real champion. What does it mean that Golovkin has been called "people's champion"? The significance of the knee wasn't that he couldn't move but that he couldn't plant on that foot to punch.
Middleweights possess some of the assets of bigger and smaller men. Doesn't mean there is always a lot of talent there but it's the best of both worlds :alcoholic.
