Nothing.
Floyd needs to fight Pacquiao, period.
If not he needs to recant him ever being better than other ATGS, dude barely has any ATGS on his resume other than Marquez and Mosley, Delahoya and calls himself TBE.
He needs to fight Pacquiao.
And if he can beat Pacquiao, he can make his last fight against Cotto for the MW CHAMPIONSHIP at that time.
Problem for Floyd is which fighter is going to get him the PPV numbers after he ducks Pac? I am going to bet on a big drop in numbers if this falls through...He might pick up a few for Khan but I only see decent ticket numbers for him if its in England but not PPV..Cotto gets Puerto Ricans in the seats in NY but does not translate to huge PPV numbers, never has....I am pretty sure Showtime is putting heat on Floyd to recoup their money and fight Pac but looking like a ***** out at this point...and when it does happen...I hope both Showtime and HBO come out and put the blame squarely on Floyd and not allow him to use them as scapegoats...
RETIREMENT!
If he is not fighting Pacquiao then WTF are we still watching you for? GO HOME!
Feels like the sport is being held hostage to be honest! :nonono:
Checked out the poll. Floyd fans want Floyd to cherry pick a title at 160. :lol1: Typical Floyd fans.
Here is a C/P of those who picked Cotto. Now, if there would be a poll for Floyd to fight GGG at even less than 160 (CW), Floyd fans would be crying that GGG is to big :sad: .........

damn :lol1::lol1:
No not at all..Cotto is not a natural middleweight..GGG is..GGG is not a realistic fight for Floyd
so you want him to be able to claim to be middleweight champ without actually having to fight any middleweights is that it?

It's difficult to say without knowing exactly how much weight he carries Stateside but you'd have to assume that Khan has got to be there or thereabouts. He's been involved in entertaining fights over there and he's getting a lot of exposure at the moment.
The disquiet that is welling up on this site about him will do his chances no harm what so ever. The American fans that have grown to dislike him will be lining up to hand over their $95 to watch him get beat. The interest in Britain will be huge. Had he not have taken losses the chances are it would have already happened. The Hatton fight opened Floyd's eyes to the kind of revenue that can be generated from fighting Brits. Granted, Amir doesn't have the same size fan base that Ricky had but let's face it, not many boxers have.
If the risk/revenue ratio looks good to Floyd then the fight will happen. Getting precious about who 'deserves' the fight is nonsensical. He's not a benevolent benefactor doing what's right for the good of the sport, the man's a hustler, plain and simple. He wants your cash and he's gonna take it the easiest way he can.
I'd like to see him face a fighter with speed to see how he deals with it though I'd have no qualms about him fighting the other names on that list. At this point if it isn't Pacquiao, what difference does it really make?
Obviously I'm going to say Amir Khan, but that's my dude since, Day 1, however Cotto is a better fight legacy wise because he has the Lineal 160 lbs title, but we all know that is going to be contested at a catch weight, so much for that.
Why are people voting Brook? :dunno:
