Mayweather's former 12 year assistant writes a tell all book. If he truly lives like this he wont be able to stop fighting to maintain his lifestyle. The article actually states that financial troubles were the reason for his return after announcing his retirement. It also details his spending habits and his OCD. I suspected he had OCD which would explain why he never shows up under prepared for fights. GSP and other great fighters suffer from OCD.

How the hell can you invest with a guy known as "three comma joe". Lmao
Haha , I guess when your running with multi millionaires called 50 cent and puff daddy , three comma joe fits right in lol .
I think your bias for Floyd has made you blind. You have wise words, so please follow them yourself.
Very little interpretation or validity checking has to be done to Floyd's life. There are issues with money, behaviour, his wife, kids, father, security guards, and even total strangers. These are indisputable facts, yet you go on the offensive and say that these are meaningless, and who cares, yada, yada, yada.
On the other side you are constantly attacking Manny on grounds which are based on speculation and re-interpretation. Now, as you say, if you can detach yourself for a moment...can you truly say that you are being balanced?
Your own advice is the hardest pill to swallow.
It all went over your head like a boeing 747 , I talk about Mannys boxing , you talk about all things Floyd , understand the difference then you will see the difference between a negative post and hate .
thread title sounds like a bad side show at a carnival..

stuff of nightmares
Funny thing is I don't think it's that far removed.
:lol1:
Yeah right. He clearly has some very concerning issues. No 'regular man' has the obsessive behavior of the need to travel to the bank everyday to withdraw 100K cash and drive around with them on the front seat, or have strippers dive in a pool of cash... Even when you're filthy rich, the behavior described and how he presents his lifestyle is very far from normal. His behavior is fucked up, any sane person realizes this. You can respect his boxing ability, but how you can be a fan of this man is beyond me.
maybe the term regular guy was wrong. all I meant is that peoples going crazy with the gay jokes and ocd stuff. I have some minor ones as well I think. like for example if I say im going to be somewhere at a certain time, I like multiples of 15. 1:00 1:15 1:30 1:45 2:00, etc. if someone found that out and started treating me like im on suicide watch, that's pretty extreme. also, im not a fan of mayweather but you know people can go overboard sometimes with the hate.
If Floyd had people around him who aren't always on pins needle somebody could have told him not to that 15 mil transaction. It's no way in hell you will get a 5 billion dollar return.
I'm guessing nobody wanted to say anything because they'd risk getting fired for telling the boss what to do. Sounds like the guy played him like a fiddle, a professional con artist.
$15m wouldn't be a massive amount to FMJ these days, but back then it would have crippled him financially forcing him back into boxing.

Wise Words

What is hating Manny , to you its a negative response about Manny , questioning his validity is hating , but what do you call starting threads about Floyds personal life , starting threads about anything Floyd , going out of your way to find and hate on Floyd , do I do this to Manny , I dont think so kid and thats the trouble you dont draw a line between hate and a negative post , you like to lump it all together when in reality its a mile apart .
Thats my point everything you point at me I can show 10 fold in a group of Manny fans yet you will never say they are obsessive haters .
Compare both sides of the argument instead of always looking only at the side you are with , its a wise man that can detach and look from the other guys perspective to be able to make a balanced decision .
No, I understood.
ok. i just thought you misunderstood because you replied "Well, his family is still f*cked up." as if it wasnt as bad as you originally thought, when in fact, it was way worse than just watching your dad get shot, your dad was actually using you as a bulletproof vest, thats why the shooter shot the leg instead.
i think you missunderstood. floyd sr picked up floyd jr and held him up between himself and the gun so that the bullet would have to hit floyd jr instead of himself.
No, I understood.
I think Floyd is the way he is because his family is f*cked up. Didn't his dad get shot in the leg by his brother in law, while baby Floyd watched?
His mom was a junkie too, according to the OP linked article.
Yes they are different planets, in terms of some people losing their life savings (some didn't), but no one ever said otherwise, so its silly and strange to bring it up.
We're talking about the expected return from the two scams, and they are not comparable at all, to claim that it is, to compare a 15% return to a damned 30,000% return is not comparable. The stupidity of expecting a 15% return vs a 30,000% return, that was the point, try staying focused.
You said I was wrong about the Maddof details. Turns out you were the one that is wrong, both times. Fine. Innocent mistake maybe. But now you are doubling down and throwing out straw-man arguments that no one was arguing against?
Funny how even on an anonymous forum, when some people are contradicted and proved that what they are saying is wrong, they cannot help keep reflexively arguing back. I don't know why people find ego management is so important on an anonymous forum. Guess it is just human behavior.
No, the point was Mayweather allegedly lost $15 million and he is still doing fine. Stay focused. Bernie Madoff promised 15% a year and guess what happened? Those people didn't get 15% a year and they lost their fortune. Stay focused. It's about how much you invest, not how much you are promised. That is the point.

floyd sr was actually holding floyd up as a shield so he wouldnt get shot.
Floyd Mayweather lost $15million.. There were people who lost their life fortune on Madoff. Mets owner lost $700million. Bernie Madoff scam was a $50 Billion scam. Different ballpark. Different planets even.
