He's overhyped, but not the biggest hype job in boxing. Chavez Jr., Danny Garcia, and even, one of my own favorite current fighters sadly, GGG, would all like a word with him on that one.
Wilder will go as far as Tyson Fury lets him.
Well look atchoo!
I am sorry to bump such an old post but i am hoping to get an idea of fights that people have seen themselves/come across online of versions of fights that are commentary free. I have been doing the following as an example of why it is I am asking. Some time ago I came across a fairly pristine looking version of Leonard v Hearns I that had the standard English Pacheco and whoever else doing commentary. A day later I inadvertently ran into a crap looking version on some Korean boxing channel on youtube that was commentary free. Only fight audio. So the very pretty looking video got the audio track switched with the ugly Korean video and now I have a good looing Leonard Hearns I commentary free. I have been able t do a few more over the last yr, but finding commentary free versions are few and far between. I was hoping to get an idea of what people have seen so I would at least have an idea of fights I could be looking for to do this with.
I'm far from an expert but doesn't Tren stay in your system for ages?
from google soooo:
Trenbolone is available in a number of preparations: the shortest esterified version available is trenbolone acetate, with a half-life of 1–2 days; trenbolone hexhydrobenzylcarbonate, which has a half-life of approximately 8 days; and trenbolone enanthate, which has a half-life of 11 days
I remember meeting him at a bus stop here in davenport five-ish years ago. spoke with me about the B-hop fights a bit and seemed genuinely happy to do so. RIP
I may be in the minority but I actually want more belts. The more the merrier. Like in addition to the regular/super champion I'd be down for a semi-regular champion and a mediocre champion. I'd also like the WTF organization added to the WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO.
Ooh, ooh, and also like pro wrasslin' boxing could have a 24-7 belt too! Defend on demand? I swear, I don't watch the stuff, it's the nephew, ya know...
I agree. The whole regular/super champion thing is ridiculous. One champion for each of the sanctioning bodies is already too many.
We don’t need any more!
It's up there with pro wrestling titles in levels of ridiculousness
the WBC franchised 2 champions for sanctioning fees lol. But mostly the bs in boxing is done by the WBC and the WBA, which are the 2 oldest santioning bodies. The WBA is the oldest. That's why it's the most disappointing from them. The WBC didn't come around until like '63 with Liston.. Holmes made the IBF credible and the WBO had been around since 88 and no one paid attention to it until DLH beat Sturrm and they used it to promote his fight with Hopkins in 2004. It's a **** show.. I know they all got interim champs, but the WBA got a gold, interim, regular, and super champ.
Do you know when it was that HBO started recognizing the WBO? I only ask as I semi recently watched one of Oscar's early HBO fights (I know at least one was before this against a Renaldo Carter) and his first "title" fight, which was for Jimmi Bredahl's WBO Super Featherweight title in 1994 and I remember Lampley giving an explanation of why HBO wasn't advertising the fight as a legit title fight in any of their promotional material for that fight and also giving an opinion that mirrors the majority opinion of the WBA's super/regular champion BS mess today.
Oscar is basically a Michael Jackson (yes, the unorthodox sexual stuff is a similar trait but not what I mean mostly) type situation. A lot of people in the thread have made some very valid points. Like MJ, Oscar was someone who was once unquestionably on top of his specific realm of the entertainment world (boxing) and there are many similar stories with others that basically have the same plot lines and unfortunately often the same unhappy non fairy tale ending. Most don't get a happily ever after, which is one big paradox considering they should have the ability to give themselves any happy ending they want, whether kitchen utensils on the beach, or just you know, traveling the world. To each their own. Apparently it is a very hard thing to keep in touch with reality when you can have anything you want whenever you want it. Throw possible alcoholism/drug addiction in the mix and the results happen just that much faster.
Wow, very well said man
Thanks. Have you noticed that the site posted two more articles on the continued disintegration of ODLH's mental filter that controls the things one should and should not say in public?
Ahh, so this is definitely cringe. Man, I find it really odd that he'd show up so flagrantly intoxicated considering the boxing world knows he is a self proclaimed addict/alcoholic who's publicly gone through rehab multiple times. I don't mean it is odd that he's relapsed/lapsed or fallen off the wagon; that's just how it is, famous or not, relapse happens to large majority of people who make attempts to be clean. It is odd to see someone in such a position though blow up so spectacularly in front of cameras like that. As to the thread title, I imagine he woke up and was trying to figure out the best way to remove a cheese grater from his back door
It don't matter about the UK judge, it was the UK judge that scored it well in Wilders favour in the 1st Fury fight.
And he really thought there would be no crowd when Covid is dying down and Canelo's covid time fights have all had crowds?
Nah, the Brit had it a draw at 113-113, but yeah, he obviously played his part and it is a valid point.
