Oscar has had serious issues for a long time with sobriety. I followed Oscar from his pro debut all the way till his final fight. I think he has problems not being the focal point anymore in the world of boxing and uses other high profile people to call out to make himself relevant in any capacity possible. Yeah man he's pretty open about his drug abuse. You should read his book man. One part he said he shut down a party because he was in the middle crying and sobbing hysterically. Oscar is basically a Michael Jackson (yes, the unorthodox sexual stuff is a similar trait but not what I mean mostly) type situation. A lot of people in the thread have made some very valid points. Like MJ, Oscar was someone who was once unquestionably on top of his specific realm of the entertainment world (boxing) and there are many similar stories with others that basically have the same plot lines and unfortunately often the same unhappy non fairy tale ending. Most don't get a happily ever after, which is one big paradox considering they should have the ability to give themselves any happy ending they want, whether kitchen utensils on the beach, or just you know, traveling the world. To each their own. Apparently it is a very hard thing to keep in touch with reality when you can have anything you want whenever you want it. Throw possible alcoholism/drug addiction in the mix and the results happen just that much faster. Wow, very well said man
