i very much agree with duane. this was a close fight and timmy pulled it out, outboxing manny down the stretch.
What fight were you watching? It was a landslide. Pac whooped Bradley easily. I had it 11-1. If you're a Pac hater or Money May fan then the most you can give Bradley is 3 rounds... Max! And that is pushing it. The whole world knows Manny won that easy!
Cotto is going to get a severe beating no amount of hyping him up will change that.
The only time Cotto took severe beatings were against pressure fighters. Mayweather is no pressure fighter. He certainly will pick him apart the whole fight but Cotto definitely wont take a beating.
Manny fought Cotto at 45 while Floyd fought him at 54. Cotto was self trained when he fought Pac while he actually had a good solid trainer against May. Styles make fights.
I like the fact that he's underrated on here. He's so solid
Underrated? On here people talk about him like the next coming of Jesus after having 11 fights basically against cab drivers. More like overrated.
Rigondeaux is a terrefic boxer and has some amazing skills but arguably the most overrated boxer on here. He has only fought one solid Jr FW and thats Ricardo Cordoba. Everyone else on his resume are bonafide cab drivers. I mean those guys are good in comparison to the amount of fights that he has but If you were to compare his record to a guy like Donaire or Mares then his record is garbage.
Does he have the talent, skills and God gifted ability? Absolutely! Sure he has 400+ amateur fights and has notable names on his on his amateur record but Ams and Pros are completely different. No headgear + smaller gloves, longer rounds and a more methodical pace makes a COMPLETE difference. I respect the guy for what he did in the Ams but it means nothing in the Pros at this point.
Donaire is NOTHING like the 11 guys Rigo has fought. Donaire will have the height, reach and arguably the weight advantage. Spead... I would say is equal. KO power? I would give give that to Donaire although Rigo has some pop himself but then again if Donaire fought all the guys on Rigo's resume, he would drop/KO them as well.
The thing about Rigo is his punch output is too low. Everytime he gets cracked with a good shot he goes all defensive and is punch output is even lower then it already is. Donaire can bang and look for the KO which he has been doing in some of his fights (Narvaez, WV2, Mathebula) or he can box and let the KO come like he did with Nishioka. Donaire is the more dynamic and multi faceted fighter. Rigo only has one style he can use and for the most part it can be entertaining and extremely boring depending on who he fights. And for the most part... Its boring.
I think Rigo poses the biggest threat to Nonito style wise but I just dont see Rigo beating Donaire if he decides to box and not look for the KO like he did with Narvaes, WV2 and Mathebula. Donaire matches Rigo in speed, has more KO power, has a higher punch output, has the height and reach advantage and can box if he wants. I see the fight looking a lot like Donaire v Narvaez in a boring fight.
Unless its coming from Donaire himself... It aint true. Donaire said he wants Mares and Rigondeaux. Most likely he will get Guillermo since they are both TR. Rigo fans just need to calm down everytime a new article comes out with so and so possibly fighting Nonito.
Rigo fans are a sensitive bunch. They cry and moan "duck" every time there is another possible fight on the horizon for Donaire. Relax ladies... Rigondeaux will get his shot.
No man..you are confused...puto is the one who used to fock your father before he goes to work every day...
Lol you really are hurt arent you? Its just a debate and you're letting your emotions get in the way over your favorite boxer not getting a shot at Nonito? Aaawww poor baby... Here ya go! :bottle:
I'm not even sure if you're serious bro. Mares has a stellar resume. In fact I'd even say with total confidence that his pro resume bosses on Rigo's.
I agree, Mares does have a better resume then Rigondeaux. But Stylistically Guillermo would post more threats then Abner. Nonito would put Mares to sleep... Book it!
Mnn..no...I don't really care if Donaire fight him or avoid him..in both situations Rigo wins...actually if they fight there is a big possibility that Donaire win...but if he avoid him Rigo will look like a winner..I believe that 122 is a very weak division...I know that you don't think so but to me Mares is the 118 lb champion..who will be weak for any 122 lb..but ppl have different opinion..I understand that..
So if you dont care if Nonito "avoids" him or not, why are you always the first one to to post about how Donaire is "ducking"? Dont worry, your boy will get his shot before Nonito goes to 126.
I do like Rigondeaux, he has terreific boxing skills and is a pleasure to watch for the pure boxing enthusiast. I hope him and Donaire does happen in April. However I dont mind seeing Donaire fight John since Chris is undefeated and has been in the top 5 at 126 for quite sometime now. However the main reason why I want to see Donaire/Rigo is because of the Rigo fanbase. Some of the worst fans in all of sports. They are borderline *******ation.
LOL at the majority of people hating on Broner. This isn't a body building or strong man competition. All the people here critiquing Broner's strength and technique of bench pressing are just weight lifting meat heads who are fans of boxing because they sucked horribly when they attempted to train boxing.
Give the man his respect. He has functional strength that actually matters when it counts. He is strong... Period!
I like Russell and he has all the potential in the world but so far he has beaten up a bunch of cab drivers. Mikey is more proven so I got to go with Garcia right now til Gary shows me something against stiffer competition.
LOL it keeps getting worse and worse for little Danny huh!? First he ducked Matthysse, he becomes a little bitch and backs out against a past prime Judah and now he is a mutant. It doesn't help when your father is a low life loser either.
im thinking of going there
i got a few questions
i was wondering can u just walk in there and train
if anybody has in depth knowledge please pm me
Yes I used to train there. You can just walk in and pay at the front desk. I think its like $25/month. The price could be different now.
Its an open gym format, so theyre are no classes or anything. They have about a dozen or so coaches at the club and you have to hire a coach to work with you. Depending on the coach they can charge anywhere from $150-400/month for unlimited one on one sessions. I recommend working with Eric Brown (current coach of Paulie Malignaggi and Peter Quillin)
James Toney was the better counter puncher and Floyd is the better defensive boxer. Keywords being: Boxer, fighter.
Floyd is a pure boxer with a boxers mentality while Toney is a boxer with a fighters mentality. Floyd gets hit less but he also counters a lot less then Toney. James is willing to stand inside the pocket or off the ropes and counter.
Mayweather uses his legs more to go with his shoulder roll while Toney stands right infront of you and slips, slides, dips, rolls and has a wider variety of punches and moves.
In terms of not getting hit then yes Floyd gets hit a lot less but he also doesn't take as many risks as James. In my opinion James has more boxing skills and is the more entertaining fighter then Floyd.
That grill isn't $14,000.00. The gold is 14K as in carat total weight. Go to Johnny Dang's site. He sells those 10-18K gold grills for up to a $1000.00. Its not as expensive as Garcia says but still expensive for something that is useless and looks stupid.
Muay Thai is no joke. This is one of the most brutal fights I've ever seen and the combatants are only 15 and 18 years old.
That was brutal! Those kids got some next level chins giving and taking all those elbows.
I got Pac by KO/TKO. Although Broner does have good defense, he just plods forward. The only guys Pac has struggled with really are guys that fight on there back foot and/or are good counter punchers.
Adrien is a good counter puncher but he's there to be hit sometimes. Not to mention nobody that AB has fought has the hand and foot speed as well as the power to do damage the way Manny can.
I think Pac stops him late in the fight. To much speed, to much power and to much volume.
broner stops him. pacquiao is one dimensional. broner will chewing up.
Lol so is Adrien though. He only has one style. Plods forward and stays inside of his shell. He is more like a poor man's, less slick version of James Toney if anything.
Broner couldn't finish a past prime pillow fisted boxer who relied on work rate to make it a close competitive fight. Manny is faster, hits harder, has a higher punch output and better footwork then Paulie. AB is good but Pac would chew him up.
1) Pac v Cotto - Cotto got dropped twice and took a beating from start to finish. Fight should have been stopped a lot sooner.
2) Margs v Cotto - Cotto was giving it to him from beginning to mid rounds then couldnt handle the pressure and folded. Took a knee and quit.
3) May v Cotto - Had a very competitive good fight. Looked great even in defeat.
floyd looked more beaten than cotto last night..
His face did, yes. I thought May pulled it out but I wouldnt have been dissapointed had the judges scored it a draw or SD for Cotto. All the rounds May did win, Cotto made him work for it and they werent as decisive as other rounds Floyd usually wins. It was a LOT more closer then the judges and commentators made it out to be.
Hey may not be an elite fighter yet but he has the potential to be. He looked real solid last night. The only guy I see giving Broner trouble at '30 is Uchiyama.
