That was probably the funniest dance you'll see in a boxing ring this year. This guy puts Amir Khan and Zab Judah to shame lol. That was a hell of a fight though. Aleem would have won but Rojas deserved to go the distance. He fought like a man possessed.
I called it... Thompson with the upset. But no I have 77-75 Skorokhod. Round 4 was close however, so who knows? Thompson should have let his hands go a little bit more. He showed no urgency in the last round. Skorokhod did not look good though. I think he was overrated the same way people overrated Kopylenko last year.
Congrats to Willie Monroe!! Good things to come for him. Adams learned a lot in this tournament, he's still young and I'm sure he'll bounce back. Good fight, great sportsmanship. I want to see both men again.
How was the main event? I watched two rounds and then went to bed
Very entertaining fight. Luis was in Dargan's face all night and really did a great job on the inside. Dargan had no answers for those little left hooks and uppercuts. I don't like this word, but Dargan was exposed big time yesterday.
Except for the Barrera-Lacy farce, a good night of boxing.
I decided to root for Luis when I saw Dargan's cap with "I love my haters" written on it.
Except for the Jeff Lacy fight which was hard to watch, a good night of boxing overall.
First, why point out that the referee is Asian? We have eyes and it's irrelevant.
Two, that was a good stoppage.
Lastly, "do more damage to him?". You sound like a well-balanced individual.
The issue is that Ennis is still relatively unproven. Crawford outclassing Ennis isn't as valuable as outclassing Spence, even if Ennis may have greater potential. I think the IBF would have to enforce Crawford to face Ennis. Ennis should just go after Crowley and Stanionis.
That's true. The more proven a fighter is, the less people can find excuses after you beat that fighter. But I do believe that Ennis has more talent than Spence and would put up a better fight against Crawford.
There's not a lot to gain for Crawford to fight Ennis right now. Ennis-Stanionis is an excellent fight. The winner gets a shot at undisputed.
Yes Inou e is no1 pfp. Bud wouldn't be favourite at 154, but inou e would be in another division. Fulton more slick than spence and takes better punch
I think both would be favorites one division north.
I just never rated Spence as highly as some people did to automatically make Crawford number one pound for pound after a win over him, as impressive as it was. Spence is not better than Ennis right now, and not sure he ever was.
It’s not just one win, it’s an accumulation of resume and accomplishments. Many already had Bud at #1 this win just solidified it. P4P lists are subjective though anyways.
Both men have a very strong case for that number one pound for pound spot for sure.
P4P lists are indeed very subjective, that's why the thread title is nonsensical.
I don't know what you guys think "run of the mill" and "mid level" are but that card you're referring to that Canelo had to wait for was the highest selling PPV UFC had that year.
This dude is crazy. This fight was the biggest UFC card of the year and had far more buzz than Canelo-Kovalev. It was indeed the highest selling UFC PPV of the year but also the highest gate of the year in a sold out MSG. They even had The Rock carrying that made up belt and Donald Trump in the building.
DAZN knew what they were doing.
He is a 2 division WC, unlike Morrel who is just a prospect. Andrade has more value on his resume and he might actually be a better fighter than unproven Morrell.
Morrell is a contender, not a prospect.
Andrade is an excellent fighter but he won vacant titles in two divisions and his resume is very underwhelming.
I understand why Benavidez is fighting him instead of Morrell but I also believe he sees him as the easier fight.

Andrade isn't a big name, has no momentum and hasn't done anything at 168.
It does seem like Benavidez didn't want to fight Morrell mostly because he sees him as a more dangerous fight than Andrade.
You have two swing rounds here. The first round could go to Haney.
You give him just one of those and it's already a draw.
That doesn't exactly scream daylight robbery.
Yeah I think giving Lomachenko the first round is extremely generous. The only meaningful punches in that round were thrown and landed by Haney.
Loma landed a clean uppercut and threw a flurry at the very end of the round where one or maybe two shots landed. He threw two or three flurries in that round, the crowd reacted but all of his punches missed.
Haney landed a clean left hook at the beggining of the round and then landed good bodyshots.
I think it was a close round and if you give it to Haney (as the three judges did, as this site did), then the average fan scorecard becomes a draw.
