was it ego? tarver calling him out? i cant believe it was money.... i dont get it - im a big fan of roy jones. He shud have retired then the way lennox lewis did when he realised in klitshcko he had a bigger challenge then he ever thought....

He just seemed slow and cumbersome, didnt look like the old de la hoya at all. Just didnt seem right - and then the "KO", come on....so was this fight fixed? I find it strange how they become close business partners soo soon afterwards...

Also im shocked by the turnaround of the people who post u. Its stupid and idiotic - 2 nights ago all everyone was saying was how RJJ was top 5 p4p....and now the same people are saying taver will go down in history as better then roy jones. Please - grow up...jones' legacy wont change as a result of this loss, the same way Muhammed Ali's didnt change after losing to spinks and holmes. Tell me - are they better fighter than Ali was?? Give Roy Jones the respect he deserves....and now Roy, just leave us with the memories....

Seeing Jones soo quiet and looking different then ever be4 - i reckon there gonna be one of 2 outcomes.... 1) RJJ comes out with a truly special and spectacular performance. 2) RJJ is totally and utterly shot and destroyed by Tarver God i hope its the first one.....the build up to this fight just seems so surreal.....

we should remember that no matter how good or bad we think a boxer is - they go into the ring everytime risking their lives. And simply for that we shud respect them as courageous warriors.

be4 im attacked - i kno that its not certain mosely was on steroids. it can also be debated that he will regain his prime. Im a big fan of moselys boxing skills and hope that he regains them. however - he was caught up in the whole BALCO fiasco....and i read somewhere recently that he has the look and characteristics of some1 who was on steroids - bloated face, sluggish look, immaculate body with lil fat even thou he has jumped and yo-yo'd different weight divisions. and finally that his demise has been either due to the fact he cant take the steroids anymore and hence his speed has gone, or that his body is finally giving up from the strain.... Any views?

i remember when omar sheika fought cazaghe he was gonna be the next big thing in the division.....and thou i like him as a person and respect him - i dont think he has developed into the fighter he was said to be. He has a lot of heart and guts - but wat happened along the way? or was he neva truly world class in the first place?

I havent been able to find it anywhere....does any1 know where/if the fight will be showing in the UK? Its a shame if its not gonna be shown....

why and when did RJJ part with his dad as trainer? he gone back to him now - but wat was the reason for the inital split?

i read an interview with roy jones' father few weeks ago....but since then heard nothing from the roy jones camp etc. Any1 got any news on training, how he is looking in sparring etc??

Hey guys, im a new Brit boxing fan and wanted to put some of my views down on the Super Middleweights of the late 1990s as they get a lot of attention here!! RJJ - Definitely the best.....the guy was/is a phenom, amazing athlete who made great fighters like hopkins, toney, mccalum, hill etc all look average. His speed may neva be rivalled again.....sadly i dont think he is the fighter now that he was - but i do strongly think he can turn back the clock and defeat tarver...in fact i think he will knock him. He seems to be taking the fight v seriously and back with his dad. I dont think any of the Brit fighters wud ever had beaten RJJ. Eubank - Extremely skillfull fighter...had superb skills and defence. Great fighter - who was neva the same after the 2nd watson fight....the 2nd best of this generation in my opinion Watson - Purely classy figher....totally outboxed Benn in their fight and beat Eubank first time round. Wud have given rjj the hardest fight of all the brits i reckon Benn - Very exciting fighter......full of power - limited skills. But massive heart and one of the biggest punchers ever in this division. Eventually he was in too many battles - and the mcclelan fight was his final battle....he was neva the same after that and he admits to it. Mcclelan - sorry bout the misspelling....didnt see much of him fight..but heard he was the hardest puncher ever in this division...a real tragedy wat happened to him With guys like jackson, mccalum etc....i didnt see enuff of. Herol Graham was also an excellent brit boxer who in any other era wud have been a world champ. I thought robin reid cud have been a tru great - and thou he was world champ he neva really fulfilled his potential. Calzaghe i personally believe is VERY overrated - i mean who has he ever beaten?? an old eubank....he shud have lost the reid fight.....he neva gone to the states to fight. I think lacy wud eat him...
