Seeing Jones soo quiet and looking different then ever be4 - i reckon there gonna be one of 2 outcomes....
1) RJJ comes out with a truly special and spectacular performance.
2) RJJ is totally and utterly shot and destroyed by Tarver
God i hope its the first one.....the build up to this fight just seems so surreal.....
All Jones has to do to win this fight is keep his back off the ropes.
In both the first two fights, Roy owned the centre of the ring & the only time Tarver let his hands go was when Jones was against the ropes & totally on the defensive.
Tarver is a defense first type of fighter. He is not a pressure fighter, so his style is not as tailored to beat Jones as Johnson's was.
If Jones can keep the fight ring centre, Fire those right hands to the body & use his speed (While deminished, he still has an edge over Tarver here) He can work his way to a decision. I also think it's important that Roy land something hard upstairs early to gain some respect off Tarver at least enough so that Antonio thinks twice before wading in.
But if Roy allows himself to be bullied to the Ropes, Tarver will KO him.

so hes either gonna win
or lose?
brilliant analysis
I picked Roy Jones Jr. I even bet against Borikua (check the signature) and I never loss a bet....so it's impossible for Roy to lose.
Correct, I got Roy winning by a UD and I will even go into detail and says he steals it by 3 rounds exactly.
I can't wait to shut up all you haters...just like I shut some of you up with the Wlad win. Roy isn't shot, was he shot when he fought Ruiz? Everyone was saying how good he was and that he was in his prime and that was what? 1-2 years ago. Honestly, you guys gotta stop jumping on bandwagons. EVERY fighter has one great fight left in him, Ali did, Leonard did, Duran did, they all did. This is Roy Jones time.
jest like you said Peden would destroy Barrera huh?
You know I want Roy to win. I jest see that Tarver beating Roy again. Cmon, I mean 2 fights lost by KO. THEN A LONG LAYOFF. And you try to pit him again against Tarver who jest 2 months ago won an impressive victory (one sided) against Glen Johnson who KOed Jones in 9th brutally. Tarver is jest mo prepared than Jones and Jones shoulda stayed retired.

I think it is closer to 1 than 2 because Roy could come out blazing and get him which would be smart and take away Tarvers mental edge early. but I am thinking Tarver still wins in a very competive first half of the fight and Tarver takes him out in the mid to late rds 8-10 range...Just MO.
Roy already lost his best weapon, which was his inhuman speed.Father time has taken that away.Roy has very little in terms of defense. He relies on his lightning reflexes to get away from trouble.Sad to say, and this is coming from me an RJJ fan, hes not the same Roy that dominated the P4P list for almost a decade...
Tarver by KO.
