Not sure about all the details, but perhaps this was the scenario: 1- DLH makes money on Hopkins/Eastman AND DLH/Sturm Pays the judges for the STOLEN belt (Sturm) 2- Then he HANDS the belt unifying Hopkins, keeps the money for the fight as for the shares in the GBProd and makes Hopkins partner thereafter. I mean those are horrible accusations, but it's just a "what if.." Comparing the Oscar/Nard fight with a 23 year old chick and a old ass millionaire is not even close to the same...AKA if this is your reasonng then you do think the fight was fixed because a 23 year old chick is with an old man for the money period. Just come out and say the fight was fixed, then tell me who killed Kennedy and why. im not suggesting he was faking it - but come on...going straight into a business partnership...the thumping of his fist repeatedly with force into the canvas...?? i dont buy it...sumting was up. De la hoya had huge heart - if he had enuff energy to thump his fist down the way he did, i reckon he cud have got up - but i reckon sumting else was going down. Just tap yourself under the right ribcage area. You can feel a bit of pain from a very light shot there. Now, imagine a guy throwing a powershot to that spot. Imagine the pain. It's not a matter of energy, it's crippling pain that kept him down. Very few guys get up from a shot like that, even though they have enough energy. It just hurts like hell.

The simple fact that you leave the door open to the fight being FIXED is bullshit. how can you say he was scared? He didnt have to fight Bernard he could have fought any Welterweight and dominate the whole division or at Junior Middleweight and still get the same money he got. Also remember, Oscar was no way near 160 pounds. He weighed in at 155, and there is no way he gained weight for the next day.

De la hoya was scared and quit at the first opportunity he had! If you re-watch the knockdown, he almost missed the opportunity by waiting 5 seconds too long to fall from the mediocre shot to the liver. I don't care what anyone says, De la hoya quit in that fight and wasn't hurt bad at all! It is so much more obvious by their partnership now.
