Garbage fight... Why not go after Berchelt or Corrrales and unify the division. Loma isn't even the Ring or Lineal champ. What did beating Martinez at 135 really accomplish? Just to pick up a belt from the weakest champ.
Because those fighters have fight coming up in July what is Loma supposed to do sit out until fall to fight the winner

More of the same, blaming the opponent for nothing! look how he feigned ignorance ; Walters was not doing nothing wrong...it was mostly if not always Lomachenko taking shortcuts....something is wrong with this poll.
Loma is obviously gesturing about Walters ducking head low
Lol it couldn't have gone better for Arum... He knows Walters is going to leave him as soon as his contract is up, so he got Loma the best publicity by making him quit...
AND, Walters only made HALF of what he was offered back in the summer! While Loma got DOUBLE what he was offered in the summer!
The brilliant old man played his cards perfectly, as usual!
This outcome was even better than Arum hoped for!
Idk about that I think I heard or read somewhere that Walters had to sign an extension to get this fight.
I meant to make a thread about the post fight interview but not on this topic though.
Prior to the fight, HBO's crew mentioned how Walters was out of the ring a year trying to get the best deal possible for the fight. The word around here was that he was pricing himself out.
But did anyone notice Walters said something along these lines: I haven't fought in a year and you guys kept him busy.
He made it sound as if HBO was doing him dirty behind the scenes or something.
Walters can only blame himself he was offered the fight in the summer with a bigger purse and he priced himself out, the fight was going to happen in May and at that point they would of had about the same layoff
Now you are a negotiator for HBO and Arum. Now you realize Loma is no Draw, but you have no problem with him making big $$$ to fight unknowns right?
Keep waiting for the Pac fight that would never happen.
Unknowns like Walters Probobly Vargas and Solido next year while Rigo fights superstars like Dickens and Amagasa
Khytrov- Amatuer world champion, got robbed at the London Olympics. Pro Rec 4-0 4 KO
Gvozdyk-Amatuer world champion, Bronze/Silver London Olympic Medalist Pro Rec 2-0 1 KO
Beterbiev -Olympic Gold Medalist Pro Rec 4-0 4 KO
Usyk-Amatuer world champion, Olympic Gold Medalist Pro Rec 4-0 4 KO
Stiverne was a world champion when he fought Wilder. That immediately classifies him a a quality opponent, even in the midst of this era of 18 world championship belts per division..
In terms of Golovkin, when his team refuses to put him in the ring with a high quality opponent, he is protected. You can say all day that no one in my division is willing to fight me. If that is the case, you should move up a division to find quality competition instead of fighting C-level opponents in your own division.
So was Lemiuex
The only problem I have with Top Rank is Bob is cheap and doesn't put his fighters out for exposure/publicity. I could only imagine what buzz Loma would be getting if that KO was on free National T.V. like Fox.
I agree hopefully we will see some of TR prospects on Haymons card as Bob said he is interested in working with Haymon
I don't think they'll want Loma to fight in the UK, they will probably want him to keep building in the US.
Is HBO showing the Vargas/Brook fight?
I doubt we see the Walters fight this year, we will unfortunately have to wait until next year most likely.
The most important thing right now is that Loma stays active. He created a lot of buzz on Saturday night they have to capitalize on it. Of course I expect them to give him good opponents not the Koasicha's of the World.
We'll probably see Loma again in August or September then he'll probably end the year against Salido. I would prefer the Salido fight to be the last one of the year, so Salido can rest up more. Who does Loma fight in August/September would be the real question.
This is all assuming Loma fights two more times this year, which hopefully he does.
Hopefully they can keep Loma active.
I wouldnt mind seeing him against Pedraza or Berchelt
Hate on Arum all you want but if Crawford wins and wins big which I am predicting, and with Loma looking spectacular this passed weekend, we all could be looking at the NEXT Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. Thoughts?
I know its a lil early to call it but both these guys have the skills to pay the bills. And what better Promoter is there to make a stars than Mr. Bob Arum?
All these other promoters out there should take out a pen and notepad and take notes because the old man has a tiny stable but head to head its hard to match him...
They also have young prospects like Valdez and Verdejo
Why do people even make threads like these, I know it's interesting to fantasize but let's see Loma against some more upper tier guys before we start putting him in fantasy fights with Pac and Floyd.
In order for Loma to be considered a better fighter than Mayweather he will need to beat opposition who are better than the fighters Floyd has beaten...
This right here its stupid to compare these two fighters when Loma has only 7 fights lets look back when Loma has 15-20 fights than we can start comparing.
