ESPN cards in general are pulling in pretty good numbers. We know those numbers aren't because of Lomaputa, who can barely fill The Theatre (capacity of 5,000) at Madison Square Garden with the help of a Puerto Rican opponent. Nobody is coming out to see a non draw like Pedraza and nobody is turning on ESPN to see him fight, they are doing it for Loma. NYC has a heavy Ukrainian population and thats who primarily filled that theater.

That is not always possible. Fighters have a window of time to warm up properly. When you get these KO1s, the next fighters may only be beginning their warmup. Time has to elapse. It is the nature of the beast. They should air a couple prelim fights in between, but then it becomes about money. Fighters get purses based on televised vs non-televised. Airing more than three fights is really pushing it though, at least for the main telecast. You can air the other fights on ESPN+, but three is more than enough. Sometimes those 1st or 2nd round stoppages just mess up the timing. It is what it is. Still nothing like the GGG/Canelo II card lol.
