Boxing's just seriously broken. They keep awarding constant clinchers and runners and even call it "defensive". It's called "avoiding the fight!"; clinchers and runners should lose rounds because of it! Boxing will never be taken seriously if they keep up with this sh-it.
Holding is a foul in boxing. Points get taken away if you keep it up, so fighters don't stink out the fight. Floyd gets away with it though, because he is a protected fighter. Fans don't know the rules and think it's ok to hug like Floyd does, to avoid ever facing aggression on the ropes. They think the ref is supposed to just let Floyd off the hook for it every time, and even help him fight that fight by breaking the fighters right away, and not ever asking for them to ever fight out. He just resets the fighters as soon as Floyd grabs, essentially taking Pacquiao right off him - right when Pacquiao worked to get him where he needs him. This was making Pacquiao waste his time, by putting Floyd back on the ropes again, and again, with no use. "Holding and deliberately maintaining a clinch" is a foul in boxing. You lose points for it, and you can be disqualified for it. The ref is not supposed to help facilitate you breaking the rules of boxing - which exist to ensure that nobody can do what Floyd actually did. That was not boxing, that was complete bull**** and the rules of boxing do not condone that at all. So-called boxing fans just don't know the damn rules though. Rather than throwing the book at Floyd, Bayless (the ref) let him get away with it all night. That's why this fight sucked. Anybody who can run and shoot a jab would have a world title too, if the ref let them do what Floyd did in every fight. Problem is they can't. Amir Khan for example get points taken for much less holding, and people call it what it is, and give him a lot of grief for it - and any Amir Khan fight is so totally insignificant compared to what this fight was. When Floyd does it though, even in the fight of the century? Stupid Floyd Mayweather fans call it a masterclass. Oh they don't know what the rules are, but they have the audacity to pretend they know what a masterclass is.
1. Mayweather is a great borer, not boxer.
2. The Fight of the Century turned out to be The Flight of the Century.
3. Manny was invading all the while Floyd was evading.
3. There was no clash of titans, only a clash of styles. One was to dance, the other was to pounce.
4. Mayweather won by disengaging, not engaging.
5. It was a clash of wills. One willed to fight, the other willed to flee.
6. It "was anything but a thriller". I say it was a chiller.
7. I outboxed him," Floyd said. No, Floyd, you outfoxed him.
8. It doesn't matter if the judges stole the fight from Manny Pacquiao. It wasn't a fight. Pacquiao didn't lose a fight ***8211; there was none.
9. You call evasive tactics science prevailing in the boxing ring? No wonder Floyd Mayweather has been undefeated ***8211; he has not been fighting, only frustrating his opponents. He is not a great fighter; he is a great flighter.
10. How can there be a rematch when there was no match in the first place?
11. I outboxed him," Mayweather said. "He never figured out my jab and my right hand." No, Floyd, Manny never figured out your evasive tactics. He was no Luke Skywalker to your Darth Evader.

Golovkin should read evander holyfield's article on how boxing is scored. a key point is that in the amateurs if you are constantly running and holding the refs gives warnings for it and will eventually stop the fight. I remember that from when I was boxing as a kid. Refs in the pros enforce the rules rarely and when they do it is in such a tiny way that it never effects the outcome. Not to mention judges rewarding people for making the other guy miss but not penalizing for running and showing no aggression. The aggressor is actually punished in pro boxing these days for missing, and if he can't catch the guy running then that guy wins by default. And dumbasses say stuff, like pac or maidana couldn't hit him at all. Of course they can't hit him, hes running and holding and more importantly mayweather never lands any aggressive punches, Only keep away from me style defensive punches.
