I dont understand why people on this site always think size equals power. Technique of the punch is more important than weight. Lets say that punching power is determined by efficeincy of a fighters punching technique. A boxer like Cotto has superb punching technique , causing his effieciency to be around 70%, While Chavez jr is below 40%. This means that even though Chavez jr outweighs cotto by almost 40 lbs, Cotto will in fact punch harder.
Check out power punchers like Mathysee, golovkin, Kovalev and Superman Stevenson. Their punching efficiency is probably close to 100%. This is why i would bet hard earned money that Golovkin and Kovalev punch harder than all cruiser weights.
More weight means that you will probably take a punch better, it does not always mean that you will punch better.
Did you see how badly bellew got KO'ed by Stevenson, i bet Stevenson would do thesame if he hit bellew again who is at cruiser weight now.

Well said.
I'll be laughing so loud when Martinez send Cotto to the hospital
I respect your opinion, but that's not happening. Now something that will probably happens is that Cotto breaks Martinrz ribs or something. Martinez is a great fighter but hes not Knocking Cotto out. I got Cotto winning 8 rounds of the fight.
Has anybody been robbed more than Carlos Molina??? LMAO
I'm no Pac fan, but I think one of the biggest robbery's in Boxing was Paquiao vs Bradley 1. Only God know how Bradley won that fight.
I don't care what anybody says if martinez was 100% healthy, that first left hook that landed from coto put him on wobbly legs for the rest of the fight, then he landed the same hook again for the second knock down. That hook took his legs away even martinez said he couldn't recover from it.
Well said, Cotto destroyed Martinez with that left hook. Even Martinez said it after the fight. Cotto took Martinez legs out after the first hook also Martinez does not have chin to hold a hard punch, he has been showing it through his lasts fights. Martinez is was a great fighter but I think he should start doing something not related to boxing. :boxing:
I say Maidana takes Floyd to deep waters again, potentially upsetting him in the biggest event in years.
Same thing happened with the Castillo guy when he fought Floyd, Floyd won the first one and people was saying he didn't, he gave him the rematch and took Castillo to school in the second Fight. In Floyd/Maidana II I wouldn't be surprise if Floyd knocks him down. But if not, Floyd is going to take him to school like he did to Castillo. He's not going to see Floyd in this one and remember you can't hit what you can't see. :boxing:
Another Broner moment!
This time your favorite hyperjob shamesly embarrassed him self by showing NO moped riding skills and crashes into a PARKED car. Not just that, but proceeds to leave the scene of the accident like nothing had happed.
Embarrassing!
Also, notice the professional camera skills of the individual who took this fantastic video. This guy should be feed to herpes infected piranhas since he cant figure you how to take a "steady" video! lol!
Enjoy!

:wow::eek::haha: LMFAO!!
who won the fight?
It was really a close fight, but Canelo looked frustrated because he couldn't hit him like he wanted to. I had Lara winning a close one. But one judge really score the fight 117-111 Canelo? :wtf:
i dont remember any talk trash from them, even after cotto picked martinez over canelo they said that cotto is a great fighter and that it can always happen down the road, but maybe im wrong and missed some interviews, hope you can educate me on that topic..
I said Talk trash because in a Interview Canelo's Trainer was saying that a fight with Miguel Cotto was a good one, because beating Cotto would be a good trophie for Canelo. But it hasn't been a lot of trash talking. And I if this fight happens I have cotto Wining by KO in the 7th round.
Now that he's the lineal Middleweight champion, who should Miguel Cotto fight next?
1) Canelo
2) Floyd Maywheater
3) Tim Bradley
I think those should be his next options. IDK Canelo's team have been talking trash so maybe Freddie would make them stop the talk. The only thing I sure know is that Cotto looks I ready for any fighter. :boxing:
I like the kid, but way too much publicity for a kid that is just fighting 6 rounders. Way too much hype.
The kid is one of the best prospect (if not the best one) in the sport of boxing right now. He deserves e little hype.
A lot of people thinks Cotto will loose. I really think Cotto has a good chance winning. And this is only my opinion... I think Miguel Cotto wins by KO on the 10th round. Now, he needs to be ready for Sergio.
