NO WAY is cotto over clottey a bigger win than mosley over margs.... A ninth round KO over a scumbag cheater, who psychologicaly was never in the fight after what happened pre-fight is better a 12 round close fought split dicision, fighting with only one eye for 9 of those rounds? I know the final result is debatable, but i have more respect for Cottos win and performance.

Style wise I think the only two that have a chance at beating Pacman are Mosley and Mayweather. Say what you want about Mosley (calling him overrated as the OP did is idiotic) he's a great boxer and so is Mayweather and that's what it will take to beat Pacquiao. I just don't think Cotto has the speed and work rate to beat Pacquiao. He's got the size and power but that won't matter if you can't catch what you want to hit. I didnt mean over rated as in Mosely is a bad fighter, just i think people are reading too much into his performance against Margarito. Mayweather`s style would cause the most problems for Pacquiao, but at this moment in time i wouldnt want to see them fight because i dont think Mayweather is at his best, and i dont think he will regain his form fightin Marquez by draggin him up nearly 2 weight divisions. I wouldnt want any excuses for Mayweathers defeat.

It's obvious you are emotionally involved with Margarito. You hate the guy and have completely disscredited the man because he was caught with something in his gloves. I can understand that but to be honest, I can't go that far. The reality is, Marg's wraps didn't carry him throughout his career. If you think that putting a plaster like substance in your gloves is all it takes for you to be world champ, then your fooling yourself. Mosley's performance against Marg wasn't overrated, it was great. Not but 2 years prior was Mosley singing the praises of Margarito and saying how he even wouldn't fight him. We all like to joke about it but Marg was being avoided big time at the WW division, including Mosley. For a man to come out and do what he did to an iron chinned fighter like Margarito that doesn't stop punching or doesn't retreat at the age of 37 years old was amazing. That performance was far from overrated and it showed the greatness of Mosley and I think that fight will attribute to propeling him to the HOF. I was a big Marg fan before the Mosely incident. I realise that loaded glvoes alone doesnt make a world champion, but what it does do is throw all of his big wins into question. The Cotto fight inparticular, which had previously belived to be one of the best atheltic performances i had seen, will forever be marred by it.

If Shane is overrated,Cotto doesn't exist. You're a nervous Fanny Pac fan that wants him to fight the weakest link at 147...Cotto. I still think an on form Mayweather is the best out of these 3, but again i cant see the arguement for Mosley over Cotto. His fight against Margarito has gotten everyone a little over excited. MMA fighters quit because they know if they dont they will get their arm, or leg broken or they will pass out. A serious injury like a brake could take months to heal and so they are taking into consideration their carrer on the whole not just the one fight. I watched the Ortiz fight just now and in my eyes he was winning until he took those big rights in the 5th. Nobody can ever condone somebody for quitting as we can never put ourselfs in their shoes at that moment in time. But I think he made it evident he will never be the boxing great people where trying to make him into.

depends how badly jmm loses to floyd. if floyd annihilates jmm badly, there will be calls for him to retire. if floyd decisions jmm in a one-sided fight, jmm will have to go back to 135 and forget about the pac fight. he can fight anybody at that weight depending on who makes him the most money. if floyd wins a SD or the fight is a draw, jmm can fight anybody at 140 including pac. if jmm beats floyd, then he could get mega-fights with pac, cotto or mosley. dont think hed fight cotto or mosley, way to big size wise for him, probably fight pacman at 140 or possibly 135 then get Mayweather to finally face Cotto!

I think it'll be a very good technical fight, not the kind of fight a casual fan would like but one a true boxing fan would love. agree with that, but still with a good possibility of a knockout! wonder what odds il get on a marquez KO/TKO, as good as the 8/1 for Manny over DLH? hope so :burnout:

i think Hatton COULD have beaten 99 percent of the fighters in his division, before he suffered his first loss to Mayweather In my opinion he never bounced back from it, his only notably fight since then was Mallinagi an anyone who actually watched that fight could see it was hardly a monumental performance against bascially a one handed fighter Hes shot, psychologicialy, hes finished and should be happy with his carrer and achivements.

I think it holds some more potential than just a snore fest. We have the previous p4p no.1 versus against what some might argue is a contender for current p4p no.1. Marquez will be in floyds face for the first few rounds then mayweather will take the latter rounds. As much as Mayweather is the bigger man, and a highly skilled one, somethin tells me marquez could cause an upset, im backin him for the high class underdog he is!
