It only makes sense that these few extra weeks can only serve to help Marquez bring his speed and strength on par with his new weight. This fight might not be the walk over alot of people think it will be.

I know he is being antagonised, and maybe the interviewer is trying to get this kind of reaction But he acts like an absloute fool, talkin about Pacs early knockouts saying that Pacs victory over DLH doesnt count because he struggled to make weight...yet saying figthing Marquez at WW is a good fight. At the end of the day, even a boxers greatest wins on paper can be disputed. Im a huge manny pacquiao fan but again i also know of alot of reasons to discredit his legacy. It could be argued that he lost twice to Marquez, that DLH was weight drained and over the hill or that Ricky Hatton was never a top class boxer or that his training camp was the resaon behind his failure. Im not saying i agree with any of these statements, i would argue the opposite. But there are always going to be people with reasons for discrediting a boxer. Is there any boxer, past or present, whose biggest wins and whose legacy cannot be disputed or is this simply the way with boxing?

Floyd, cotto and pacquiao shuld all still be there but DLH and Calz are retired who should replace them?

If Mosely was able to come out and fight Pacquiao like he did against Margarito it would be the fight everyone hopes it would. If Mayweather had not taken so much time off i think we would all get the fight we want. It was the best fight of Moselys career, but it was exactly that, i cannot see him turning out another performance like that again. Not to say its impossible but unlikely. Mayweather doesnt enter into the mix in my opinion. Dont get me wrong this is the one fight i want to see this year more than any other, but take into account his unwillingness to negotiate for anything less than a majority of the takings and a ready made come back fight against a fighter nearly 2 weights below his own. i cant see Mayweather wanting to fight the best in order to be called the best. Cotto Pacquiao should happen, and it should happen at WW. I know many will argue Cotto is too big for Pacman at the weight but how amazing would it be if pacquiao was to move up to WW again an this time win the title? If he fought at a ctachweight and loss it would rasie too many questions about his past fights, but if he fought Cotto at WW either way he would come off strong.

Cotto deserved it. Dont get me wrong, one of the best fights so far this year but i think the judges dicision was influanced more by Clotteys over reaction to accidental fouls rather than the crowd support. 3rd accidental head butt, could have stopped the fight when he was ahead on points but cotto battled on like the champ he is. Clottey was over dramatic about the fall on his knee, the punch to the back of the head and the low blow. It is what edged the fight for me in favour of Cotto. I got Unleashed on friday (its irish realease date) and have been really impressed. I thought with THQ (smackdown) making it it could be shit but i have found it to flow really well and has a lot of depth. What ive seen of fight night rd 4, it looks a bit shit to be honest, im a big fan of the games but thought rd 3 was the worst one so far, especially the carrer mode. what ya think?

All the interviews i see with him he seems very scattered in his thoughts and stringing togeather what he wants to say. I seen a clip of him after the Pacman Hatton fight and it was like he could barely speak english, taking the last word from the question and repeating it over an over in his answer. It might just be my sheer ignorance but has anyone else noticed this? I think hes an amazing fighter, but it seems to be taking its toll on him more than others.

If he beats Marquez where will that place him on the p4p scale? Im not talking from a personal point of view, or where you think he should be ranked but in relation to the p4p system of ranking where will he slot in? will he still rank even if he looses to Marquez?

Still isnt answered as far as i am concerned. I wont take it away from him, his foot work hand speed and accuracy where amazing against MAB. But we only seen 4 and a bit rounds from him, against a man who couldnt see, in a fight that should have been stopped in the first round, and anytime MAB did land anything like a clean punch, it was clear Khan felt it. This man is not world class and it is only a matter of time before he is exposed. Now...i have to go pay out my bet :sad2:

"Irelands own" Bernard Dunne is fightin the end of this month for the WBA Super Bantamweight title against Ricardo Cordoba, and as much a think he is one of the most overrated hype jobs in the game, I still want to see him win. Ive seen alot of people questioning the undefeated records of Calzage and Mayweather on these boards. It seems lke people are not comfortable with a fighter retireing undefeated, questioning the fights they choose to take and their style in the ring. Does retireing undefeated really mean a boxer was never truely tested? Do you have more respect for boxers, such as Cotto (leaving aside the question of Marg cheatin), who loose at the top of there game but yet have the heart to step back in the ring and prove themselfs again?

And his big comeback fight after this he fought a part-time fighter, full time P.E teacher, who broke his ankle in the 2nd and fought on. I think Roach will have thought him enough so he wont get caught in the first again, but Barrera need only one good combo and this one is finished, along with Khans prospects.

Maybe its just me, but it seems like Mayweather Snr might be rubbing off on Hatton a bit. He is running his mouth alot more than i have noticed before. Pacman is stayin humble an respectful, but all i hear from Hatton is how he is goin to dominate Pacman and become the p4p no1 Has anyone told him thats not how the p4p rankings work? Maybe it was lack of sleep along with too much fight night round 3 and an endless stream of highlight reels, but i had a dream last night Pacquiao knocked Hatton out in the first last night. Odds on such a win are running at 50/1 with boylesports.com and similar on paddypowers (Ireland) Im goin to go with my instincts on this one an put a tenner down...:fingersx: Although i suspect i will be cut apart for such a predicition, does anyone one seriously believe this could happen?

First thread, be gentle! :boxing: As much as i like Hatton as a boxer and as a person, this outcome seems to obvious. Hatton will close the distance and take the fight to Pacman, focus on his body and land his power shots to finish him quick. This is the obvious thinking behind a Hitman victory, and it is because of this style which is why i enjoy Rickys fights. But Pacmans much improved movement around the ring and ability to get out of a tight close quarter brawls, and use his speed and accuracy are just to overly whelmingly obvious to over look. Im calling a 10rd KO and enough hype (and money) after to draw Mayweather out of retirement.
