However, it's more than likely that Canelo would end up signing with Top Rank. Don't ask me why but I believe that it has a lot to do with Golden Boy and Oscar bad-mouthing Al Haymon.

Coppinger did a better job explaining it on the boxing voice. DAZN pays Golden Boy $40 million per Canelo fight. That's the contract between Golden Boy and DAZN. Golden Boy pays Canelo $35 mil per fight and the other $5 mil goes towards securing Canelo's opponent. That's the contract between Canelo and Golden Boy. Then there's a separate contract between Golden Boy and DAZN for non Canelo fights. Canelo wants to see the contract between DAZN & Golden Boy for his fights. You're correct he doesn't have a contract directly with DAZN.

They're his promoter so they are a part if his deal. But they have their own deal also. What he's asking to see is the second one I quoted from the article. That's my understanding from reading it
He'd get paid about the same for a fight against Liam Smith but he's still chasing Khan. Khan fought Bud so now Brook wants to fight him to show he can do better than Khan.

I've also been hearing for weeks that Matchroom USA is done bit everything's fluid. They may put on a couple of shows to fulfill contract obligations but everything is up in the air. One thing I do know is DAZN really wants out of the US boxing business. Their entry into US boxing was announced as 7 years a billion dollars but only 2 years were guaranteed. We'll see what happens

Gbp is having their dazn contract reconstructed which means they wont be getting anywhere near the money they were before. but i guess that’s better than canelo bankrupting them with oscar taking personal liability for his contract.
Losing their main revenue generator and getting much less per fight willl cripple Golden Boy going forward because they'll no longer have the money to pay for opponents for their up and coming stars like Vergil Ortiz. More fighters set to be released soon. DAZN is giving up on the U.S. boxing market. The Canelo contract is the only thing keeping them here. They want out of that contract but Golden Boy needs to find another broadcast partner before they're willing to talk a buyout
