Bradley had his share of fans, but no where near the likes of a Mayweather. So what was wrong with Bradley and why didn't he have a lot of fans?
Inside the ring, Bradley was for the most part undefeated, willing to fight the best, he was a great fighter with fun fights, and he always gave it his all. Outside the ring he was just as good too. He was a father, a husband, well spoken, and never got in trouble with the law, yet he didn't have fans.
Whereas you have someone like Mayweather, in the ring he was someone who many thought had boring fights, didn't look for the best fights, and did just enough to get the decision victory. Outside the ring he was an ignorant gambler, loud and obnoxious, and even went to jail for physical abuse towards women, yet he had plenty of fans.
How does Bradley not have fans but Mayweather does?
Tim Bradley's head wasn't that huge when he was younger. His head got bigger when he started overdosing on HGH.
That literally makes ZERO sense.
He started his career as a welterweight, moved down to light-welterweight and then moved back up to welterweight at 29 years old.
When & why did he start "overdosing" on HGH?
To move into a weight class he was already in?
His weight never moved beyond 140-147.
Wait, so are you saying Mayweather and Bradley aren’t the same person? Mind ****ing blown. This whole time, I thought they were same exact person.
What made you think they were the same???
Pac is crafty. I just think Bud might out fire him.
Looked tired during the half of the Thurman fight.
I wish he would just fight me in Manila, give me 100k. Highlight feel KO
Lol
Yeah, if Manny didn't wear out Thurman and hurt him in the earlier rounds, he might have lost a close decision. I need to watch the fight again, but I remember Thurman catching up, until he got hit with that body shot.
Manny did take some good bombs from Thurman.
Not sure to be honest lol.
Manny is old, so I don't care so much about him losing, just don't wanna see him get hurt too bad. Crawford is damn good, but this would still be his best win.
Crazy thing is, I think Pac might have a slightly better chance with Spence than Crawford.

Do you want Pac to fight Crawford?
I don't

I wish Bradley kept fighting after the 3rd Pac fight. Funny how people were almost sure that would be Pac's final fight, but Bradley was the one who retired afterwards.

I don't
Yes I saw the 2nd. Bradley really came and actually rocked Manny
****ing boxing.
He was still with Joel I believe and went to Atlas for 3.
Bradley is a good fighter but not on Pacs level, even old Pac.

Nice man. :luvbed:
I was talking to this black dude who said Bradley was his favorite boxer and he won a $200 bet, but he said he felt guilty for winning money with that BS decision.
Funny thing is, the second fight was actually closer.

You mean the 1st Pac fight?
I saw that fight at a bar, people went outside to smoke or buy drinks during the decision cause everyone thought it was a wrap for Manny. Then Bradley raised his hands and people were outraged lmao.
I think I saw only one person clapping for Bradley, some old white lady. She wanted Timmy's bbc.

Bradley doesn't have huge fanbase. He might not get a lot of love, but he is very respected by fans, critics, fellow boxers, trainers and pretty much almost anyone involved in the sport.

How does Bradley not have fans but Mayweather does?
That's like asking, why does Michael Jordan have fans, but not Clyde Drexler.
Dude, Mayweather's at worst the 2nd greatest fighter of the past 20 years. Timothy Bradley's a hall of famer, but probably not top 10 since 2000.
He was a bang average HGH abuser with huge head and pillowfists.
And he ducked Amir Khan.
What proof do you have that a guy who fought his entire career between 135-147 with zero power was an HGH user?
That he's American?
why are you trying to compare Mayweather to Bradley?
This.
It's an asinine comparison. Mayweather's so far & away better & greater than Bradley that it's pretty ridiculous to even compare the two.
really now??? bradley never been in a boring fight.
Bradley was in a lot of boring fights. Peterson and Alexander stand out, and none of his Pac fights were particularly interesting. Marquez wasn't exactly a barnburner.
Not exciting, didn’t knock people out or stop them, no personality. He was feather-fisted and if you don’t have power at least you need to have a strong personality or be interesting outside the ring and he had none of these things. Zero personality.
Not to mention he never had a performance that made you say “WOW” and you can argue he lost to Marquez, and 3x vs Pacquiao. Also went life and death with a couple of C level fighters in Provodnikov and Chaves. I need to stop it’s really sounding like I hate his guts here when I don’t, haha. I’m just pointing things out and answering the question. It is what it is.
However when you consider all the above it’s easy to see why he barely has any fans. Fans don’t relate to him or find him interesting or exciting. Like Floyd said whether they boo or cheer it doesn’t matter because they are interested, the worst thing is when they don’t care at all, and that’s how it was with Bradley. Only a few hardcore fans were fans of him. Perfect example of why it takes more than just getting wins to be a star in boxing. There’s a lot more to it than that. A lot more.
There are a few reasons.
He had no special gift in the ring that drew fans to him the way Mayweather's obvious speed and defensive prowess did, or Manny's dynamite offensive talent.
As such, he didn't participate in particularly dramatic fights for a long time.
He had a bad reputation early in his career for headbutting and fighting dirty.
The blame for the Khan fight not happening fell mostly on him, which was a big deal since that fight was pretty big and very much wanted.
The Pacquiao robbery turned fans against him further.
Bradley had a lot of things, some his fault and some not, that made it really easy not to like him for most of his career. He was a poor man's Holyfield without the exciting fights or prestigious division to his credit. It wasn't until the Provodnikov war that people appreciated Bradley more.
