Did Terence Crawford waste his prime?

Is he really 35? He is 33, but I think he is out of his prime now - physically for sure! He is probably the most talented fighter that's not fighting top opposition.

No, it's too early to tell. We would just have to wait and see in his next few fights. However, he was dropped in his last one though. I agree it's too early if he beats Spence and becomes undisputed, no one will say that he wasted his prime because he'll have become undisputed at 140 & 147. Then, if he could pull off beating the undisputed champ at 154, he'll be a legend.

he's still in his prime but has few fights left there. My guess is that big fights are going to get easier to make when he's about 35. funny how that works.

There is still time to accomplish quite a lot but I don't sense any urgency. This! There's no urgency with him or his team. He and Spence were supposed to fight this year but look how quickly things change. Since he and Spence had that phone call he seems content on waiting on that fight.

Yes, he wasted his prime. Same with Errol Spence with the crash, both are past it IMO. Spence lost his prime in 8 months? He was scheduled to fight in January the crash set him back 8 months.

Crawford has sustained little wear and tear over his undefeated career. He could be a top P4P fighter into his late 30s like Mayweather did. He has a good shot at becoming undisputed at 147 just like he did at 140. Becoming undisputed in two weight classes in the 4 belt era would erase any talk of him wasting his prime.

he already said to andre ward in an interview he is already a HOF'er and I got the impression he was happy with that plus he's got some nice cash in the bank it's boxing setup problem that allows this stuff, top fighters sailing by each other and suddenly they get past prime, crawford will soon be that fighter in a year or two, seems ok for now Yep, that’s the interview where I picked that vibe from him. I think he’s going retire the same way his buddies, Ward and Bradley did. In his mind, he thinks he did more than enough and probably wants to be validated like Mayweather and Pacquiao, but he knows deep down it’s took late for him to reach those guys level in terms of their overall accomplishments in and outside the ring.

he also missed his opportunity to become a PPV star when he failed to get a highlight reel KO of glass Khan. You know Arum, like Oscar, over payed Khan because he is a name, low risk, but the opportunity for a highlight reel KO was the big factor. Having a highlight reel KO is extremely important to build up our star boxer in this day of social media. It will be played over and over again in the MSM sporting news, and will be viewed millions of times on youtube.
