canelo gonna **** you up lil g string. reminds me of garcia vs mattyhsse. Mattyhsse gonna ''sleep'' garcia. ''garcia has been cherrypicking and well managed'' then garcia went in their with movement, combinations and iron chin and beat mattyhsse. expect canelo to do the same this saturday.
Very good analogy my friend. GGG and Matthysse are indeed the same caliber fighters. There is nothing in GGGs arsenal that tops Matthysses arsenal. The exact same pedigree in amateurs and pros.
I think you should have gone as far as try to make a case for Canelo being Mayweather in this fight, and GGG being Baldomir.
Very good analogy, and educated one, indeed.
:pat: thats just an ignorant thing to say. Some people say hes overrated and "hated", as you say, because he lost to ALL his top opposition, and gets knocked around senless by those same top fighters. He also hasn't had a significant win at 140 let alone 147 where he had, ONE FIGHT! :pat:
Khan is underrated by casual fans. They only see his KO loss to Garcia (which he was winning) and the Preidis- fight. Khan has a good resume, with world class victories.
Khan is a flawed fighter, yes. But at the same time he is a world class beater, no question about it.
Feather fisted? U kidding? Devon definately has displayed tremendous punching power in the past and im sure that if he goes for the ko and connects cleanly, he will disconnect Khan from his senses.
Tremendous punching power? :D Yes, mate. he has numerous KOs against elite fighters. LOL. Ok, he has decent power, but definitely not devastating power by any means. he is not a ko puncher. Khan is goingto walk true him, if he doesn't get wreckless.
Eventough I agree that Khans chin is not the best in the business, I have to say that it is not the worst either. He has the tendency (or has had) to basically run into punches with his chin up. I believe he has corrected that flaw, and is not fighting as wrecklessly as in the past. Thanks to his new trainer, I believe ( and maturity).
Khan indeed is underrated by many. But at the same time he has to prove himself against Alexander to get bigger fights and stay on the top. cant wait for this one.
Fight Chavez Jr or shut yer pie hole.
I believe Groves would love the chance to fight the limited, yet a big name, chavez. That would be a rather easy payday for a guy like Saint.
Ur illiterate. Talk to us about Khan's resume. Talk to us about what Khan has done in the last 5 years. Khan wouldn't fight the best at 147. What a moron.
Im not sure you understand what "illiterate" means. Khan has fought basically everyone at 140, and away from home. At 147 he has decent wins against decent opposition. You make me think you are not a true boxing person, but a fan of Canelo?
5 years? mmm.. Go to boxrec and check it out. Not my fault if you do not know the fighters.
I respect your academic answers, doe. Weird friend we sure make:luvbed:
Khan indeed was the number two cash cow for Freddie. and he is a egoistic man. BUT nah, It is just who Freddie is these days. Always talking **** like he was the one fighting. He is the coach, not the promoter!
Freddie made Khan a better fighter, but Khan needed something different to get even better.
Manny looked OK, though. Not his old self, which is understandable, as he is getting age. His seemingly destructive power seems to be gone for good, which is a shame, since his power was the factor that made Floydfight veeeery interesting.
Floyd is getting old also, though. Which one is less shot? LOL just kidding. Still very good fight on paper. Just think that Manny has more miles with all those KO losses and wars.
Hopefully well see!
That is factually incorrect lol but think whatever you want. I know it doesn't suit your worldview and you think it is all about poverty and you want to make excuses for people, but you are factually incorrect. I also can't take anyone seriously who thinks that POC are marginalized in every country and basically are starting the race from behind; I think that is a loser's mentality, it is inaccurate, and it can be a self-fulfilling prophecy so I have 0 interest in hearing that argument.
"The overall rate of firearm assault was 5.0 times higher (95% confidence interval = 4.5, 5.6) for Black people compared with White people. Firearm assault rates were higher among Black people across all victim residence incomes. Relative risk of firearm assault reached 15.8 times higher (95% CI = 10.7, 23.2) for Black residents in the highest-income block groups when compared with high-income White individuals. Firearm assault events tended to occur in low-income areas and were concentrated in several “hot spot” locations with high proportions of Black residents.
Conclusions. Profound disparity in exposure to firearm violence by race and place exists in Philadelphia. Black people were substantially more likely than White people to sustain firearm assault, regardless of neighborhood income."

There are 100 more studies and many more statistics which prove this point.
An honorable man, when presented with evidence contrary to his argument, would change his mind and tip his cap to the person with whom he was debating. You seem to be debating with your conclusion in mind, regardless of what the facts show. So I'm sure you will try and double down on what you were saying despite you being factually wrong.
Hope you can be intellectually honest with yourself. Be well.
You actually said that this is the case in every country in the world, and then you post a article/study about Philly :D Academicly extremely well done, sir.
Ok, income levels/CRIMErates are married, not death by weapons (in Philly lol). Happy? And you reaaaally think that immigrants from third world countries, sosio economicly lower income areas, people who do not speak the language of their new countries, people from war torn countries DO NOT start from behind? There are literally no valid studies that can deny these points. And common sense should also tell you these things.
But now we are discussing completely different subject. Lets forget the assaults done by black men in america (do you really think that immigrants from third world countries are not starting from behind?) and talk about the gun laws? Or did you choke already?
Ive noticed that people who offer lazy correlations to their points usually start shifting the conversation to other points when in trouble. And that is what you have done. Either Im talking with a youngster or your thinking has been clouded by your political views.
Im not here trying to argue in a nasty way, I just came to correct few of your not-so-well thought arguments before.
I hope you grow as a person and start studying things in the big scheme of things. Good luck, sir!
OK, what are his other assets?
Punchingpower, movement, combinations, size, athletism. Here we have some formidable assets, i think.
You dont become olympic silver medallist and a unified pro world champ without anything else than speed, obviously.
Zab --> garbage- comment says it all about this trolling.
OK, what are Khan's technical skills?
Well, he has a very long and illustrous amateur career, wich have provided him the basics. As i suspect you do know this. His movement, jab, angles and stance are all very much top class. His punch output all around is very good.
Im intriqued to hear your version of this. How do you NOT see Khans strenghts? Intriqued, indeed.
That is where the fight is won, agreed. But I believe that Khans speed and movement will win it for him.
Superior is pretty weird thing to say here. Based on what? Porter -fight?
Spence doesnt need a promoter - he needs a rivalry or rivalries. I do not know why people preach the importance of promoters, when the fans, social media and tv exposure are the most important things today to get recognition.
It doesnt make a difference do you have a promoter or not if you are popular enough. Case Canelo: Does anybody really believe that Canelo wouldnt be this big without Oscar? Oscar doing crazy shyt and talking idiotic stuff about Canelo has made a huge impact on his popularity in mexico and elsewhere?
In europe the popularity of a fighter begins with local rivalries. In, say, England, the guys participate in so called derbys, then move on to national rivalries and then move on to europe/world -level. At that point you have a solid fanbase allready, and you can build on that with "im conguering america!" type of slogans.
Obviously I have been bit of a black/white with this, becouse obviously some guys do get a lot of help from having a promoter. But in many cases having a promoter lifts you up to a certain place, and after you have reached that place you do not need a promoter any more. That is why many guys put up their own promotional companies after reaching a certain level. But Spence is already in a place where promoter wouldnt help him anymore. He is already a household name in boxing, and getting through to a wider public is a mixture of different things, such as luck, good opponents, good dates, good lookes, making an effort to increase fame (talk shows, dancing with the stars lol etc.)
Oscar De La Hoya couldnt make a difference at this point for Spence. It is also a character question. Maybe he does not want to star in the movies or prance around the yellow pages.
Just some thoughts.
Counterpunchers maybe, if they can time him. But movers and classical boxers khan beats every time becouse of his speed and athletism. Despite his size Chris is not nearly good enough to outbox Amir. Perhaps no-one is.
Chris doesnt use his reach that well either. But these are the questions im looking to get the answer to. Decent scrap we have here IMO
Austin Trout is a B class fighter, he just looks good against bums. Not convincing at all with this win over a C class fighter. End of the story!
Cotto, Is that you?
Yeah gay parades don't openly advertise that they're just glorifying 2 guys having butt sex, just like churches don't openly advertise that half the clergy are atheists who were too lazy to get a real job. You just gotta read between the lines/strip away the mystic aura of things.
Damn! Ive always thought that women also can be gay. This was a newsflash to me. Thank you, you obviously intelligent, well read and throughoutly aware anonymous citizen.
Those parades are very mystic, indeed..
Khan has speed, activity, good punchingpower, combinations and footspeed. Oh, and he is a talented athlete.
Weaknesses are well known to everybody. But i do believe he has improved a lot.
"UK version of Zab" ? Is that an insult? :D Zab at his best was extremely good fighter. No shame in his career. Not everybody are as good as May and Pac.
Khan will steamroll over Alexander. Devon might even quit at the end of 7-9.
The hate Amir is getting is the same kind of hate Naz got in his day. Looking back, Naz was great fighter is his era. Oh humanity. How do you people rate these fighters? Pacman, Floyd and bunch of bums? :nono:
I split divisions into tiers
At the top you have Floyd who has godlike skill. His abilities transcend eras
Next tier are the Keith 1 Time, Errol Spence, and manny pac level guys.
Third tier would be Timothy Bradley, Marcos Maidana, and Kell Brook
Fourth tier is Shawn Porter and Amir Khan
final is Chris Algieri, Guerrero, Berto, Chaves, etc
Amir's talent is handspeed. His ring instincts are horrible. Best fighter he could beat imo is Timmeh.
Kell Brook, Keith 1 Time, Spence, and Maidana lay his azz out. Kell would surprise everyone by handling Amir with relative ease
Couldnt disagree more. IMO Khan is the favourite against Thurman and Brook about 60-40, and a huge favourite against the rest. Khan already beat Maidana, remember? Sure, both guys have fixed some flaws, but I see Khan winning even more convincingly.
Sooooo... "Maybe a fight with Broner in the future, Bob? Lets stir things up a bit".
Freddy, the old fool, is starting to sound like daddy Mayweather soon. He is going to print shirts that say "i know **** and more about boxing", next?
You do realise that being brought in for some sparring sessions is in no way shape or form comparable to having a 3 month training camp as you have been claiming?
That's a rhetorical question btw, as you clearly don't seem to be able to understand, as you appear to be a bit dim.
You do not follow Helenius in social media at all, do you? Your opponent in this everlasting feud is actually right. Helenius has been in camp for 3 months or so. The civilized north is aware of this, because it is no secret.
It is great how you claim all these things about this fight not being fair because Helenius has not been training etc. but judging by the things Helenius himself says, what the -non english- media says and what Karl Helenius says... Helenius indeed is in shape and has trained for months.
No excuses for Helenius if he is dropped hard by HUGE overhand right before round six. ;)
Lara was the opponent in the video. Do u even watch boxing, or play in the dirt with trucks?
Did I post the video? :D:bottle: This thread is getting weirder by the minute. And, yes, it is partly my fault.. Im swimming against the waves with Canelo -fans.
Khan is something else. The guy does fight anybody! Huge props to him.
I do not see this one as easy for Canelo as most of you seem to think. This "Khan is sooooo chinny" -business is so 2012. He has proven he can take a bomb and fight true it. And now he is not weight drained. This is going to be a good fight for Khan. Not so much for the fans, since Khan will be mobile as hell.
Khan is going to outbox Canelo, and get brutally robbed by the judges.
Oh okay, gotcha. Been on this site for years, but don't always engage in the comments as they seem to be to biased one way or the other. And I love this sport. It's truly my biggest passion and hobby.
I lean towards Floyd as well at this point. But Manny is a special fighter as well. The most intriguing thing about this fight, is anything can happen. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, will surprise me when it comes to the outcome.
Peace bro
Really good post. I could have written that one.
Sure.. Cause we all know how much GGG has a tremendous defense.. F off. We could say the exact same thing about GGG. The first time he'll get hit, not sure he'll keep his guard open. David ain't no Monroe or Gale. GGG wasn't even able to knockdown Rosado. David did it. I'm all aware of GGG's high chance to win, BUT don't count David beaten just yet. I'm sure whatever the result will be, we'll witness one of the best fight of the recent years. Old school boxing at his best.
May the best man win. :canada: #WarLemieux
GGG's defense is actually pretty good, given he is a come forward -fighter. It keeps amazing me how a portion of fans do not appreciate his technical ability, offense AND defense. yeah, he gets tagged time to time, but that tends to happen when you are going forward at the highest level.
Mario Lemieux obviously has a punchers chance, but thats about it in my eyes. Too much skill, too much experience we have in Glolovkin.
And it is pretty obvious that GGG is a real puncher. Thats just silly to go to "he knocked down this guys and he didn't!". Well, Rubio stopped Lemieux but he didn't stop GGG. See? Stupid.
Both are good fighters, and I wouldn't bet my house on GGG because Lemmy is one tough sob. But I'm 47 and a half dollar sure that GGG stops him by the 10th.
STFU... Lol!! There was nothing close. In fact Lara didn't even want to get close to Canelo.
Whatever you say dude :D You are something else for sure:canada:
This is a good fight. May be the best one available. Krusher is really cleaning all the corners. Got to give him credit for chasing the biggest names and the best fighters in his division. Should he win Pascal (could be harder than expected fight) the Stevenson should be next. LW division is losing its luster a little bit.. Too many guys heading out and few entering (WARD).
A little mythical matchup:
Krusher vs Calzaghe. Who wins and why? I personally believe that Joes activity, speed and pre hand problem version power would be too much for Kovalev. UD with three KD's, which of two would be scored by Joe.
Hooooh... Freddy is getting more and more out of hands. They are obviously trying to get the public behind them in this Floyd- issue... This is so boring. Concentrate on fighting and training your guy instead of murmuring nonsense to the public. Even Manny is getting along in this.
I think everybody can see the two sides in this, right? (propably wrong, as Im going to get hatemail after this post)
This Algieri- fight is nonsense anyways. Only thing im intrigued about this is can the young man hang in with the absolutely elite. Probs not. Not going to buy this.. No way. Going to check youtube afterwards, since I love the sport.
