JMM won the first fight, clearly. Amazing he wasn't KO'ed in first.
Pac won second by a point, the KO being the difference, judges got it right. I had a small bet on JMM for this fight, too.
@DLT - you really think Floyd was affected by the media hype and his dad so much regarding the Oscar fight? I think a rematch would have been roughly the same fight, maybe floyd winning slightly easier. Oscar was fading at this point for sure.
What do you see Floyd doing to control and win these rounds? Slow Ortiz activity level by stiff counters? Lead punching the whole fight and backing Victor up?
Not even Floyd is dumb enough to bet $1,200 on himself to win $100. The line is way off, in my opinion. But I'm not sure yet weather to bet big or small on Ortiz. He's the only betting option, though.
It's your opinion so I would never call anyone an idiot for having an opinion on a fight. But realistically you should be favoring Floyd. Floyd's defensive skills are some of the best in the sport, while he doesn't fight as often as other fighters because he is always on vacation.
I do not think he ever stops training. He is always in training even when he isn't fighting. He is shape year round, I don't remember every seeing Floyd fat.
Floyd's defensive skills are very clearly THE BEST in the sport. But I was just thinking about activity levels and judges scoring. I stand by that the Oscar fight is a good blueprint. Floyd much more talented and landing cleaner punches but Oscar almost stole the fight (I had it 8rds to 4rds for floyd) b/c the judges usually so much prefer ACTIVE fighters. Oscar was already a bit older and slower, though. Ortiz is big and imposing like Oscar, but prime with better stamina. I think he could certainly do better than Oscar did. His chin is more susceptible than Oscar's, but as I said, Floyd will not go for the KO unless he sees Ortiz stumbling around on his feet about to fall over anyway. Floyd's just too "safety first" minded.
I see Ortiz throwing a couple punches from the outside, then trying to "charge" through Floyd's counters, tying him up often. Of course Floyd will land some of those counters flush, but will not follow them up as he never has in his last several fights.
For those claiming this proves Roy's protests right, Roy was talking about Green's handwraps, not gloves. He was trying to ride the meme of Margarito's handwrap scandal and hope people didn't notice he was really just a *****.
Edit: That's Pu$$sy. My GOD that is stupid.
Basically Zab did what he did in the Amir fight. He was losing and found an excuse. She is shooting dice and he says "The way you are doing it is wrong you do it again I am going to take my money back." When the guy tried to defend her it got worse from there. Then Zab REALLY thinks the guy is cheating and has dice in his hands. It was going to get rowdy from the start.
The way she's rolling dice is wrong? lol. Does Zab think she can control what she rolls if she flicks her wrist a certain way? lol.
So glad to see Zab humiliated, but it's a shame he even got the fight against Khan. All the money he made should just be distributed among all the people who had the displeasure of meeting him.

Twat was he talking about?
I do know that if shane were to get by winky, tito was next in line. But shane was not at his peak
Translation: Winky was better than Shane and kicked his ass. Twice.
You propagandistic Ahole.
What's been going on with this guy anyway? I recall he retired Vargas, then Shane knocked him out on the final second of the 12th, right? Then what? He fought since then?
Yes if you throw a punch with your eyes closed and it hits its target then it was a lucky punch.
get it ? eyes closed = lucky punch
You might remember Michael Jordan (and most good bball players actually) could make free throws with his eyes closed on televised games. I guess he just has incredible luck, eh?
OF COURSE THERE IS SUCH THING AS A LUCKY PUNCH!!!11ONE
A "lucky punch" can be defined as when a fighter you are a huge fanboy of "gets caught" by the hated opponents fist, and loses by knockout. Roy Jones fans are the best example I can think of, as we've already predictably seen in this thread.
Dwyer USUALLY is not a nuthugger, but obviously has a BIG hard on for Floyd. He even repeats some of floyd's propaganda "let his body heal" and "even though he only generated half what floyd did in his fight with clottey" (ignoring the cotto fight and the obvious question "how much would floyd sell against clottey in texas?) Nuthugger from hell. Embarassing.
He dosent have the skeletal structure, bone strength and height to be effective at that weight class. Punch resistance is also a big problem.
HOOO!!!!!!! MY GOD did you get trolled!
How should Martinez have also won by DQ against Cintron? Yes, I saw the KO and the points victory, but his trainer said he also should have won via DQ, what happened to make him say that? Anyone? Thinking back about that one, I still can't get over how Martinez put Cintron down with a hard punch and then on the count of 10, right before the ref reluctantly is considering waving his arms, Cintron says "Headbut! It's a headbut!" and the ref just lets the fight go on! LMAO - one of the crazier things I've seen, maybe second to Tyson chewing up and swallowing one of Holy's ears.
I didn't read through the 20 pages of thread
People need to stop acting like Kessler needs to do anything to get a shot at thew inner of the super 6. He'd still have a belt if it wasnt for injury, that means he gets a shot at whomever has it. Its simple. Why fight Bute for a shot when he is already entitled to one. If he fights Ward anywhere outside of Ward's backyard, he will beat him.
This was the plain and simple common sense....until that last part. What, did the judges hand Ward a hometown decision? :wtf1:
