Who should he fight?
But i dont get why? Who on Canelos resume is better than Collazo? This is the type of fight Alvarez should win if he is truly going to be elite and at the same time isnt too big of a step up that he would be pushed too fast.
The reason i asked if he was a southpaw was if he isnt maybe Williams can get in the ring with him and regain some favor with the fans.
Most people will say he should fight Vanes, Lara, (Insert favorite fighter) and that Collazo is Mosley's leftovers.
He's old and inactive etc.....
The PW-Brook fight is interesting. I don't think PW can make 147 anymore. He was 170 on fight night vs Lara.
He's orthodox.
As long as the Gatekeeper is at 154 there should be no problems.
But I can only speak for myself.
95% of this site won't be so understanding.

People would sh$t on the match-up, saying he's old and a natural 147 fighter.
He should be Mike Jones or Kell Brook's first real step up.
Canelo vs collazo Make it happen.
He had a tune up recently i say give him a fight against a tough gatekeeper and if he wins make him vs Alvarez for Canelo's first real test.
They can throw him on the under card of Canelo's next fight to set up that fight next.
No way they make that fight for September.
Is he a southpaw? Also to address your first point of people hating on the Canelo Collazo match up i would put Collazo in first with a tough gatekeeper type to make sure those excuses couldnt be made and so that the winner would get his due credit.

Fairly impressive.
He dosen't have the height and reach of Jones, But he looks a like a more natural boxer.
Pretty even fight between the two. IMO

How could they? Collazo would easily be Canelo's toughest opponent yet. I wouldnt mind Jones either. (I havent seen Brook yet)

I would like to see that by the end of the year, give Collazo a tune up fight first though since he hasn't been that active the last few years.

Put him in with Alvarez at 154!

Barclay center is partnered with golden boy promotions. paulie and luis are both from brooklyn and both now signed with golden boy....i wonder if oscar will set that fight up there, that would be a big fight in brooklyn.
Going by his shirt someone with a belt that would provide a nice payday.
Didn't he turn down a fight with Aydin in Turkey maybe now with GB backing they could lure him to the US and since he's WBC mandatory make it an elimanator.
If May beats Ortiz he'll vacate and he's right there to pluck up a belt and a TV payday
Great to hear. This guy really needed his big break. Unfortunately, though, he may be past his best at this point. He's been sitting on the bench for far too long.
Yep. Maybe we see a Berto rematch after a few off TV tune-ups.
