I heard from an excellent source that Tyson hit Lewis early and stunned him (this was when Lennie was a BEAN POLE) winning the first round.
After that, LL took total control and Tyson never got near him. Apparently it ended when Lewis knocked Tyson out of the ring with a right hand.
Tyson was said to be terrified of Lewis ever since that fight. Legend has it that he ran away from camp because he was so humiliated.
Liston at his best was a pure force and very underrated in his prime. He walked through HUGE punching Cleveland Williams and took him out in shocking fashion. I think he was much more dangerous than Lewis, who was always vulnerable to a big punch and was hittable, despite what anyone says. Lewis was good when he fought smart and focused, but against a speeder puncher who could capitalize on his lapses and just plain laziness, he could be taken out violently.

Fair enough, but you have to remember that LL was at his best when he was FEARFUL. Liston would no doubt strike fear into his heart, and the alarm bells would be ringing about the man in front of him.
I doubt he would get Lazy against any of these guys in my list, -that's why I rank him so highly.
Tyson can beat big guys? Sorry, but he would be destroyed.
Boxing is also about who can clinch well, and a man that small will get walked around the ring 10 times out of 10.

You might as well say all fights should be fought in a huge 40 foot ring, as this allows agile fighters to have the best chance of victory, or make them fight in a 3 x 3 foot square so infighters have a big edge. Allowing excessive clinching is no more fair than any of these alternatives I've described.
No, because REAL FIGHTS (fighting as we know it was derived from street fighting) do not put emphasis on using miles of land or stamina.
It comes down to who grapples who to the ground and breaks their neck.

Don't be silly. I take it your knowledge of Tyson isn't very good if you claim that he is over rated, and if you think he is over rated how would you rate him? It wasn't so much weight advantage as height and reach advantage with many of the fighters that Tyson fought. I've seen this argument plenty of times and i always have the same answer... Tyson at his best is theoretically a match for any fighter in heavyweight history.

Tyson was TINY. Even for his height he was small - he only weighed about 239lbs, at his HEAVIEST! BOWE: Looked fat as fuck at 250! A big man does not look fat as fuck at 250!
I am a MIDGET - 5'11, but I have been as high as 330lbs.
And guess what, I didn't look NEARLY as FAT as a 6'5 BOWE did at the tiny weight 250lbs! My stomach was bloated, but the size of my chest mirrored it. I just looked like a "strong man" (people said) at that weight.
If you look out of shape at 252 (I say 252 because that is the 18 stone mark - the mark of a big guy), you are a SMALL man.
End of Story.
When I am in great shape (six pack and all), I weigh 258lbs.
And I realize that I am VERY SMALL, in height and in weight.
